How About Walker Sell Some State Land

Door County Land Trust will transfer ownership to the Town of Liberty Grove

LIBERTY GROVE, Wis. -- The Door County Land Trust has applied for a 50 percent matching grant from the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program’s Urban Green Space fund to purchase 16 acres of land in the Town of Liberty Grove. Door County Land Trust will provide the matching funds.

Upon completion of the purchase of the land, Door County Land Trust will transfer ownership to the Town of Liberty Grove. The property will be open for hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking, cross country skiing, nature study, wildlife observation, and photography.

Since the state is in a financial mess, maybe we out to stop for the time being buying land with state money. If the Town of Liberty Grove wants to turn it into a park or whatever, let them flip the whole bill. Hello, the state is out of money!

Speaking of state land, how about Walker sell some of the state land to dig us out of this mess. I bet there is prime land which would bring high income to the state.
