Job-saving campaign doesn't survive scrutiny

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
And some staffers in Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle's administration are getting quite desperate.
Take the case of Denise Symdon, a high-ranking appointee in the Department of Corrections.
Symdon makes $112,000 annually as the administrator of the Division of Community Corrections, the unit that oversees probation and parole. She landed the post earlier this year.
Complicating life for Symdon is the fact that Republican Governor-elect Scott Walker is set to take office in January. Earlier this year, Symdon gave $500 to Walker's opponent, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, the Democratic nominee.
So Symdon's staff members, led by her top assistant, Cari Taylor, began organizing a letter-writing campaign a couple of weeks ago in hopes of keeping the boss in her current job - and presumably many of them in theirs.
Consider it an act of self-preservation.
I think Symdon should start looking today for a new job. She should be gone the day of Walkers first day in office. If she isn't gone, Walker will regret it down the road. Scott Walker should not end with her. He needs to get rid of all liberal employees who are a drain on the Wisconsin budget!
Scott Walker needs to clean house in state of Wisconsin!
The voters have spoken.
