Sorry Brewers

I have to admit for tonight I am a cubs fan.

Lord  forgive me.

Roundy's Recall, Is Wis.Media Lazy Or What

From Green Bay Press and all over Wisconsin TV and print media. Roundy's Recall.

Milwaukee-based Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. is recalling about 360 pounds of breaded chicken breast that may have been undercooked.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the products were sold after Sept. 13 at deli counters in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The agency says the product being recalled is no longer available for purchase, but consumers who already bought it should discard it.

Why has no one reported the stores affected are Pick n Save, Copps Food Centers , Rainbow Foods , Metro Markets or Mariano's Stores. There are people out there that's never seen a "Roundy's" Food Store. If this happened at Woodmans, Festival Foods or Piggly Wiggly the press would say "Woodmans, Festival Foods or Piggly Wiggly."

I am just thinking that there may be a lot of older people in the recall areas and when they hear Roundy's, it would go right over their heads and make nothing of it. They would just eat the affected recall item and go out and die.

I know the media is just copying the press release from Roundy's but don't you think the media could have some common sense when it comes to reporting news and important information? To that I guess I will also blame Roundy's for not putting out a specific recall notice for it's stores. Maybe they planned it that way.

If a life would ever be lost because of a lack of common sense, who would get the blame?

The media should of reported the specific stores under the Roundy's label but were too lazy to get and report the whole story. The media is real good at cut and paste..

COME ON MAN, MEDIA DO YOUR JOB!

Update, let's give credit to the Manitowoc Herald Tomes Reporter for adding the stores involved in the recall.

If wholesale gas prices stay or drop more we should see $3.25 Gasolins soon. From past history, our gas in Wisconsin is mostly .70 - .80 above wholesale price.

Update, sorry, I need more coffee this morning. It's already $3.29 at 76th and Capitol in Milw. As of this morning Green Bay was around $3.66. Maybe it will drop under $3.00.

When Will Lefties Chain Themselves To Trees, Chairs or Tables

Republicans Name Wis. Mining Committee Members

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Republicans in the state Senate have put together a committee that will consider changes to Wisconsin's mining regulations. Sen. Neal Kedzie of Elkhorn will chair the mining panel. The other Republican members will include Sen. Dale Schultz of Richland Center, Sen. Rob Cowles of Green Bay and Sen. Rich Zipperer of Pewaukee.

It'll be up to Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller, a Monona Democrat, to appoint Democrats to the panel.

Wonder when the lefties will and how will they protest this?

Was He In Madison Protesting

The Green Bay Press did a story on thee cost of uninsured motorists. Not to take away from the story but I read this and ask.

For former Green Bay resident Kyle Scidmore, having his 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier totaled by an uninsured driver in Madison this spring meant some painful out-of-pocket expenses that took more than a month to recover. He had to front the cost of the $500 deductible on his policy, and hope that his insurance company could convince the teenage driver who hit him to make good on the amount.

Fairly old vehicle in Madison, this past spring, just out of school, hummmmm? Was Kyle in Madison protesting against republicans and Scott Walker and some driver without insurance hits him? Interesting question if he was a protester.

New Dem Voter

Got this through a good friends E Mail

Animals that formerly were self-sufficient are now showing signs of belonging to the Democrat Party. They have apparently learned to just sit and wait for the government to step in and provide for their care and sustenance. This photo is of a black bear in Hayward, WI who has turned Democrat. He's nicknamed Bearack Obearma. It is believed that he has become a campground organizer.

Top 4 Reasons to Get Your Library Card

Posted on September 20, 2011 by Guest Blogger September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and it’s a perfect time for students and adults alike to sign up for a local library card.

Hey Tony, what's wrong with the libraries at the schools you oversee? Shouldn't yu promote those.

Just asking. With money being tight, maybe we should look at consolidating public libraries. During the summer they are just high paid day care centers and now they are just a magnet for perverts to go online for free. Oh, that's right, tax payers pay for public libraries.

It's Been A GREAT Five Years

Seems just like yesterday. Somehow 5 years ago today I came across Blogger and decided to try my hand at a blog. As I said in the past, I was tired of people telling me the lefts point of view and my voice meant nothing. So why not start a blog.

Yes, it's Berry Laker blog's 5th anniversary. There are times when it's hard to even post something that makes sense but some day I at least can let my family know the thinking and beliefs of their father.

To my few followers. To the few that comment. To those who took a look and didn't like what they seen, I say a sincere thank you.

To the Berry Laker clan, remember,

If you want to be a winner, hang around winners.

If you tell your mind  you want something, your mind will get it for. Never forget to be careful what you want, your mind will also give the negative side of life if that's what you ask for.

You can always choose your friends but you can never choose your family.

The five most important things in life are and they only come in this order. God, your spouse, your family, your work or job and anything else that is important to you.

Let's go for six.
