Texas Governor Won't Rule Out 2012 Run — 2012 Presidential Election | The Texas Tribune:
"Texas Gov. Rick Perry just can’t seem to shut the door on a 2012 presidential run.
With conservatives aching for more choices in the approaching 2012 Republican primary, Perry declined Tuesday to rule out a White House bid during a press conference about a new anti-abortion measure. Also Tuesday, his top strategist told the Tribune that the governor is, naturally, “thinking about it” given the flattering comments made recently by some in the GOP, although he 'doesn't see any change in his direction.'"

Jim Holperin's John Kerry Issue
Wisconsin moves closer to passing concealed carry law;
Holperin backs least restrictive bill - NewsoftheNorth.Net, Northwoods News:
"State Senator Jim Holperin (D-Eagle River) says he will support the least restrictive or “constitutional carry” version of legislation which would allow Wisconsin citizens to carry a concealed handgun without training or a permit.
“I favor the ‘constitutional carry’ or ‘shall issue’ version of concealed carry, but I’ve co-sponsored all three of the handgun bills that have been offered this session because this issue needs to advance and finally get" signed into law,” he said.
So how can you co-sponsor three different bills. Maybe when Holperin runs for the July 12th election he can play three different stories to three different voters?
Is this Jim Holperins John Kerry issue?
I wanted the first version before I liked the second version before I decided for the third version.

Shawano Leader Turned Left
I wondered what happen to the Shawano Leader? There was a time when I called the Shawano Leader and Lakeland Times the only two paper of record in Wisconsin for reporting good hard hitting honest news. How things have changed. I guess we are down to one. Thank God For the Lakeland Times.
It used to be you could go to the online Shawano Leader and read good hard hitting unbiased news. From the past half year it seemed like the paper was changing. A lot of sympathy to teacher unions, news about recalls against republicans on the streets of Shawano and less and less updated stories on the online edition. I could alway know people like Tim Ryan did great work. It just seemed a little odd about someone who couldn't even put their name to the following, must be an opinion piece. It starts,
Enraptured in questions they don’t want us to ask
Anybody who’s read this column over the years probably knows I have an obsessive pet peeve about TV commercials.
I give them more thought than you’re supposed to give them. After all, they’re not real life. They’re just short, inane sales pitches not intended to be held up to intellectual scrutiny. Kind of like Republican talking points.
Nevertheless, I’m constantly seeing things in commercials that force me to ask logical questions completely unrelated to the product.
And then at the end.
So I say, keep asking questions. Whether its commercials or political talking points. Keep applying logic. And don’t let them pull the Woolite over your eyes.
"Republican talking points", say what? Where's the democrat lies? What about the 16 FLEEBAGGERS? I think someone had too much time on their hands. Maybe they should hit the streets to go dig up some better news.
I guess I can cross the leader off my GREAT papers list and glad I don't buy the dead tree version of the Shawano Leader. Too bad, I liked them in the past.
What happened? I guess it was pulled off the web. Wonder why?

Teachers, Never Drink and E mail At The Same Time
I bet this wouldn't happen in the Madison School District.
Peshtigo teacher resigns:
Teacher sent vulgar email to state rep.

PESHTIGO - A Marinette County school teacher resigned Tuesday as a result of his actions earlier this year, when working conditions for public employees were a heated topic at the state capitol.
In March, Peshtigo School District teacher Rob Schneider sent a heated email to Republican State Representative John Nygren. The email was laced with profanity, and the teacher told Nygren he hopes Nygren, and Governor Walker get hit by a truck.
Documentation shows the teacher told authorities he was intoxicated and upset when he wrote the email, and never planned to harm Nygren. The state investigated Schneider's email, and determined there was no safety risk."
Wonder if this guy will now run for public office. It said he resigned, but I think it was a forced resignation.

First Lady Has 2nd Bad Hair Day and Marilyn Monroe Moment
From The Telegraph
Michelle Obama fights to control summer dress in windy London - Telegraph:
"Strong gusts had Mrs Obama clutching on to her dress as it threatened to blow up into the air during the event staged in Buckingham Palace's gardens.
It appeared the politician's wife could have benefited from a trick employed by the Queen's dressmakers, who sew tiny weights into the hems of her gowns.
Mrs Obama clung on to her outfit, which appeared to be made from a light fabric, and fought a battle with the wind but managed to win in the end.
The blast also caused havoc with the first lady's hair, which was left standing on end at one point."

(WFRV)-- Tonight, the Peshtigo Board of Education will hold a disciplinary hearing about a teacher who was put on paid administrative leave after threatening a state lawmaker over the Budget Repair Bill.
Rep. John Nygren received a threatening email from the teacher back in March.
The email came from a school account.
It contained a number of expletives, saying 'I pray that a semi-truck will run you over, and you are a waste of human space.'
The email was turned over to the DCI. According to its report, the teacher told authorities he was intoxicated and never intended to harm Nygren."
I bet he is just told to not do it again or will he get butt in a ringer or maybe put in jail?

Wisconsin Drops To No. 3 For Biking, Blame Walker
From the Cap Times. Seems no bias here. Just read the first sentence.
Biz Beat: Wisconsin drops to No. 3 for biking:
"Not sure if you can blame the Republican onslaught for this one but Wisconsin has dropped one spot in the annual ranking of best states for bicycling.
Wisconsin is now No. 3 in the 'Bicycle Friendly State' rankings from the League of American Bicyclists. Washington remains No. 1 with Maine moving past Wisconsin to the No. 2 slot.
Maine has risen steadily after being No. 6 in 2008 and third in 2009 and 2010."
Those evil republicans and Scott Walker. I sometimes wonder why I even read some of these lefty sleaze rags of newspapers.

Wisconsin, Will Some Water Rate Hikes Be Repealed
Walker signs bills repealing water testing requirement, granting office power to veto state rules:
"Gov. Scott Walker has signed into law proposals repealing a clean water testing requirement and giving his office more power in the crafting of state agency rules.
One bill Walker signed Monday repeals a state Department of Natural Resources rule that calls for municipal governments to install equipment to disinfect their water by December 2013.
Supporters say the repeal would save the 66 affected municipalities millions of dollars. Democratic critics in the Legislature argued that doing away with the testing requirement raises the risk of contaminated well water sickening people."
My question is, will the cities that already raised water rates now get thier rate hikes removed? Bet not, who will even know this happened?

How Right Is Scott Walker
Via Drudge. Seems Scott Walker is on the right track. Seems he does know what he is doing.
Treasurer says he would call bond houses, warn against lending to Illinois:
"SPRINGFIELD, Ill. • Illinois chief fiscal officer said Monday he is willing to dial up the bond houses and finance companies to alert them that lending the state more money, as Gov. Pat Quinn has proposed, would be a 'major risk.'
' 'If I need to send letters o the rating companies to tell them the treasurer of Illinois is opposed to more borrowing, I'm going to do that,' said Republican Treasurer Dan Rutherford.
Quinn, a Democrat, warned that without borrowing vendors and service providors would be left unpaid. In a statement, he challenged Rutherford to identify schools, state vendors and non-profits that should 'continue to operate -- or close their doors -- while they wait for payment from the state.'
The backlog of unpaid bills will reach $8 billion by July, Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka recently estimated.
Rutherford says the debt from past borrowing has soared to $45 billion in recent years, which amounts to $10,000 for every household in the state. As a result, Illinois has the second-worst credit rating in the nation, above only California, he added."
Nice to live in Wisconsin.

Would You Lay In A Barn Gutter To Save Your Life
For those who don't know what a barn gutter is, here read this.
The gutter catches cow waste in a milking parlor and discarded hay. Wolosek admits it wasn't her first choice, but it certainly was the safest.
