Wis. Cemeteries To Be Busy In 2010 Election

From The Appleton P C.

The dems announce their up coming voter campaign.
"Wisconsin a key battleground in midterm elections
Volunteers set out to recapture first-time voters
By Larry Bivins • Gannett Washington bureau • June 25, 2010

WASHINGTON — On Saturday, a battalion of volunteers will begin maneuvers to recapture 300,000 Wisconsin residents who voted for the first time in the 2008 presidential election.

The effort is part of a $50 million national campaign by the Democratic National Committee and Organizing for America, the grassroots organization that President Barack Obama's 2008 campaign inspired, targeting 15 million first-time voters nationwide."
Wisconsin a key battleground in midterm elections | postcrescent.com | Appleton Post Crescent

How many dead people voted in 2008? How many people voted more then once in 2008?
"The guts of our campaign is to make sure we're running on an expanded electorate," said Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine in a recent interview. "In Wisconsin and in every state, we'll be spending a lot of time not only going after traditional voters, but also the surge voters, Democrats who voted for the first time in '08."

Looks like Wisconsin cemeteries will be busy along with all the voters that voted two, three, four times or more in Wisconsin. Can you imagine them walking through a cemetery counting fresh grave sights and taking names. Don't put it past them.

You got to love those democrats. They're creative.

Screw The Wisconsin Property Tax Payers Again

From the Green Bay Press.

The State Superintendent Tony Evers, some local superintendents and the teachers and their union are out to SCREW the property tax payers of Wisconsin.
"Rewrite of Wisconsin school aid formula proposed
$900 million in property tax credits would instead go to schools

By SCOTT BAUER • The Associated Press • June 25, 2010 "
Rewrite of Wisconsin school aid formula proposed | greenbaypressgazette.com | Green Bay Press Gazette

MADISON — Wisconsin education leaders on Thursday praised a proposed dramatic reworking of how schools are funded that would do away with $900 million in property tax credits for homeowners and instead give the money directly to schools.

So just "do away with $900 million in property tax credits for homeowners." SCREW EM!
The plan unveiled by state Superintendent Tony Evers is missing many key details that would allow individual districts to know if they'd be better or worse off than they are now. Evers said that omission was by design. The goal, he said, was to start a conversation with interested parties, including candidates for office, before a final plan is put before the Legislature next year.

Not all details are available but "trust us."
"We need to reform our school funding system to be fair, sustainable and transparent," Evers said at a news conference with education leaders standing behind him. "We must strive to do better for our public schools."

Keith Lucius, assistant superintendent for the Ashwaubenon School District, supports the movement.

The current funding setup is a "very unequal way to distribute funding," he said. "The bottom line is, this is zero cost in state dollars. It's not like schools are asking for more money. This just changes the way it's distributed."

Can you believe this guy. Tax payers lose a tax credit and and it's a zero lose for the state! It's not like schools are asking for more money",what is this guy talking about.
Representatives from the state's largest teachers union, Wisconsin Education Association Council, and groups representing school boards and administrators showed their support for the proposal by attending the news conference.

Of course the teachers and their pals back this. And they say they are for the children. How many teachers the last two years took a salary freeze, how many are contributing to their health care and retirement? SCREW EM!

The teachers won't say it to the parents face, might say it to the students in school. Basically, screw your parents and give us their money. SCREW EM!

Why do they try to pull this crap? Because their liberal democrats and they think they can. SCREW EM!

We need real leadership in Madison and it starts with the election in November. We need change in Madison. The voters of Wisconsin need to teach a lesson to the teachers and their union, and it's not going to be pretty.

From the Green Bay Press.
"Strong storms knock out power to 18,000
June 24, 2010

Driving rains and high winds whipped parts of northern Wisconsin Wednesday night, downing trees in some areas and leaving about 18,000 customers without power.

Wisconsin Public Service's website reported 6,457 customers without power in Crivitz as of 9:30 p.m. Marinette County sheriff's dispatchers reported multiple instances of trees and power lines down around Crivitz and Stephenson.

Rainfall totals reached 1 to 2 inches in parts of Marinette County in the storm. Northern Door County got 0.75 to 1.5 inches, said National Weather Service Meteorologist Mike Cellitti.

Sheriff dispatchers reported handfuls of trees down around Egg Harbor, and in Oconto County.

About 18,000 power outages were reported in Wabeno, Crivitz, Marinette, Menominee, Rhinelander, Sturgeon Bay and Wausaukee."

The reinforced compound held up and only received 2.5 inches if rain yesterday. No power outage here.

Live With In Your Budget, Not Congressman Steve Kagen

First from the LakeLand-Times
"Steve Kagen writes, "Being fiscally responsible must begin somewhere, so let it start with me."
Overspending is not a good thing, congressman

So Kagen tells his constituents one thing and he and his friends in Washington do another. Kagen only does what Nancy Pelosi tells him to do or tells him what to say.

From Paul Ryan via Charlie Sykes.
"From Paul Ryan:
WASHINGTON – Since the implementation of the 1974 Budget Act, the House has never failed to pass a budget resolution – until now. House Democratic leaders announced this morning that they will make no attempt to even propose a budget. In response to this unprecedented budget failure and efforts to give the appearance of budgeting while sidestepping the tough decisions that budgets require, House Budget Committee Ranking Republican Paul Ryan (WI) issued the following statement:"
NO BUDGET | Newsradio 620 - Milwaukee, Wisconsin News, Talk, Sports, Weather | Charlie Sykes

So who will ask Kagen about this and will he explain it?

Telling It Like It Is

From Marketplace.
"The next time a political figure tells you that state government is broke and needs more revenue, call that person a liar to his or her face."
Marketplace of Ideas Blog

The fact that no candidate for political office this fall, as far as I know, has suggested even reducing, let alone suspending, state land purchases because of our state-finance trainwreck makes one think that people running for office — politicians and their challengers — don’t get it.

If you care about Wisconsin you need to read about the land grabs.

Need a complete change in Madison.

Someone Please Tell Steve Kagen

From Yahoo Finance.
"New home sales drop to lowest level on record in May after federal homebuyer tax
Alan Zibel, AP Real Estate Writer, On Wednesday June 23, 2010, 10:05 am

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sales of new homes collapsed last month, sinking 33 percent to the lowest level on record as potential buyers stopped shopping for homes once they could no longer get government incentives.

The Commerce Department says new home sales fell in May from a month earlier to a seasonally adjusted annual sales pace of 300,000. That was the slowest sales pace on records dating back to 1963."

Steve will probably say George Bush was alive in 1963. It's his fault. I'm sure glad Congressman Kagen is working hard for us.

Cunsulting Week In Wisconsin 8th

Rhymes With Clowns posts about endorsements in the congressional 8th race. Seems this weeks hot button is in consulting companies.

Here an endorment for Terri McCormick

Let's see, attorney donations, will we see tort reform, don't think so.

Oh great more political consultants telling us what we should think, say or do. Voters arn't smart enough to think on their own.

No kidding, marketing professionals who will sell you snake oil to cure cancer.

If your going to get endorsements, sounds like the same old Madison, Washington politics to me.

Let's look at Reid Ribble from the post.
"Robert Keller, Chairman and CEO of J. J. Keller & Associates, endorsed Reid Ribble’s campaign for Congress today. Keller heads one of the largest safety and regulatory compliance firms in the nation. J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. is based in Wisconsin."  Rhymes With Clown
From their web site, J. J. Keller & Associates.
"Consulting
Let our nationally recognized Consultants assess and solve your risk management, loss control and compliance challenges." Safety And Regulatory Compliance, DOT And OSHA Workplace Safety Regulations - J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc.

I will somewhat agree with Jeremy on one point.
"While Bob Keller may not be a name well known to many in WI-8, an endorsement from a business owner with ties to the state seems more likely to have an impact than the one that McCormick is highlighting. " Rhymes With Clown

J. J. Keller is located in Neenah and is not in the 8th district.

If you get endorsements from out of district or out of state groups or companies, will elected officials be obligated to "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours".

How about endorsements from companies in the Wisconsin 8th District? Then again, they are only endorsements. It's the voters that will elect our next congressman for the Wisconsin 8th district.

Steve Kagen, UNEXPECTED

A lot in today's media uses the word "unexpected". Unemployment unexpectedly rises. Bankruptcies unexpectedly up. Gas prices up on unexpected news from the gulf. Stock market drops on unexpected jobs numbers. So what are the people of the Wisconsin's 8th district expecting from Steve Kagen fulfilling their dream of owning their own homes? Seems not much. Obviously from today's numbers, sales of previously occupied homes dipped in May.

From YAHOO Finance.
"Alan Zibel, AP Real Estate Writer, On Tuesday June 22, 2010, 3:38 pm EDT

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The housing market may be on the verge of taking another plunge that could weaken the broader economic recovery.

Sales of previously occupied homes dipped in May, even though buyers could receive government tax credits. And nearly a third of sales in May were from foreclosures or other distressed properties. That means home prices could soon be heading down after stabilizing over the past year.

Last month's sales fell 2.2 percent from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.66 million, the National Association of Realtors said Tuesday. Analysts who had expected sales to rise expressed concern that the real estate market could tumble once the benefit of the federal tax incentives is gone entirely, starting next month.

The report is "a worrisome sign for what will occur in July and thereafter when the effect of the tax credit is behind us," said Joshua Shapiro, chief U.S. economist at MFR Inc., an economic consulting firm in New York."
May home sales dip as housing market struggles - Yahoo! Finance

Let's see,

"Last month's sales fell 2.2 percent",

"that means home prices could soon be heading down",

"Analysts who had expected sales to rise expressed concern that the real estate market could tumble".

"The report is "a worrisome sign for what will occur in July and thereafter."

So is this unexpected news for the people of the 8th district? Is this unexpected for Steve Kagen?

So let's go to Thesaurus.com and look up "UNEXPECTED" and see what words can we use for our Congressman Steve kagen on the latest May plunging home numbers.

Astonishing- Everyone in Wisconsin is shaking their heads, standing in line for unemployment, seeing how bad the economy is and Steve Kagen is in a daze. Home sales fall 2.2% and Steve will tell you he needs to be elected in November because he is working hard for you the voters of the 8th. Am I the only one astonished how out of touch Steve Kagen is?

Unpredicted - If you talk to Steve Kagen or hear him speak, he has no clue what is going on around him. The economy is falling apart and all he can do is blame Bush and take credit for a this economy. What economy? What planet is he living on?

Unforeseen - So Steve Kagen with how many stimulus votes, how many unemployment extensions, spending tax payers money like a drunken sailor, unforeseen with his votes an economy that is crashing and burning in the Wisconsin 8th district.  Obvious the people in his district did see this coming. Remember the August 09 listening sessions. Steve never seen that coming.

Unexpected - What will Steve Kagen say when the housing markets plunge and your home values drop like a rock?  Will he say it was unexpected that your home values dropped but your property taxes stayed the same? Will he promise you he will work hard to fix this unexpected problem? When your wallet or purse is empty from failed policies and votes by Steve Kagen, will you be unexpectedly surprised?

Unpredictable - Will Steve Kagen tell you he never predicted this happening and he will remind you it was George Bush's fault.

Not Expected - Maybe it's time we all tell Steve Kagen we do not expect him to serve in the next congress. We tried it his way for four years and he failed at what he promised the people of the Wisconsin Congressional 8th District.

Can you see the headlines from the print and T V media the night of the November 2010 election.

Steve Kagen loses 8th district race,

"UNEXPECTED"!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see that.

Extending NFLSeason

From Markrtplace.
"Players appear to be opposed to extending the regular season, for injury reasons and because players figure that salaries should increase by 12 percent if the season is 12 percent longer. The story quotes New England quarterback Tom Brady: “I’ve taken part in several postseason runs where we have played 20 games. The long-term impact this game has on our bodies is well documented. Look no further than the players that came before we did. Each player today has to play three years in order to earn five years of post-career healthcare.”

Brady’s concerns are also the concerns of other NFL observers. Imagine, for instance, what would happen to the Packers’ season if quarterback Aaron Rodgers got hurt. (All you have to do is look at the Patriots’ 2008 season after Brady’s season-ending injury in the Patriots’ first game — New England, winners of three Super Bowls in the past decade, missed the playoffs. And ask Mike McCarthy what losing Al Harris and Aaron Kampman for the last several games of last season did to last season.) The NFL already has a problem with marquee players torpedoing their teams’ seasons by getting season-ending injuries. Increasing the season by two games increases the likelihood of more season-crushing injuries."
Marketplace of Ideas Blog

You know, the Packers want their money earlier then in the past. With the money they charge us for two tickets, why not! So Brady doesn't like it, T S! Who in the heck does he think pays his salary? So he's holding out for more money. Tom, go take a hike!

Preseason games are a joke! if we pay for NFL games, I want to see an NFL game, not a scrimmage!
