Kimberly Clark in buy out rumors.

Experts believe a Kimberly-Clark buyout feasible

The idea that a group of investors could come along
and buy a multibillion corporation like Kimberly-Clark
could happen is realistic to a pair of analysts.

and I like this comment,

The Peoples' Bank of China has $1 trillion in reserve
that it wants to put to use," Jacobsen said. "In December,
there were rumors going around that they (K-C) were the
target for a takeover. If something were to happen, buyers
could come from Asia."

Where is Steve Kagen on this. If he care's so much for the
little guy, where is he on this ! Where is Jim Doyle on this.
Don't you libs remember when K C moved their offices to
Texas? Come on get on board. You need to stop this!
A foreign company buying out a Wisconsin Company or a
company with how many thousands of jobs on the line!
Job loses in Wisconsin going to China.
Where is the outrage? Where are you libs and candy's on this.
Is this not on your radar screen?

Do we Conservatives always have to think for you people ?

Side note Brett

Packer Bear rivalry.

You have to wonder if Brett did his announcement on
purpose because of the Bears being in the Super Bowl.

At least we (The PACKERS) can say we beat the super
bowl team that choked and couldn't win the big one.

I have not read any Chicago papers but you know some
dork will complain Brett should of waited till next week
to announce.

Too Bad Bear Fans !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No One Can Compare

It's good to see Brett coming back for another year.
Yes he has had his ups and downs, good and bad but he
does show the youth of our day , you play the game to the
max! You have fun, you keep playing. I think a lot has to do
with his dad ( God bless his soul). We in Wisconsin can be
blessed that we lived in the era of # 4 Brett Farve.
I want to say I am lucky to know two great players in the NFL,
Bart Starr # 15 and Brett Farve # 4 .

Lets Move To Michigan

Wow, this is hard to believe . A state court upholding what the
voters voted for. The slippery slope in Wisconsin is another story!

Michigan court rules against gay benefits
February 3, 2007
LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Public universities and state and local
governments would violate the state constitution by providing
health insurance to the partners of homosexual employees, the
Michigan Court of Appeals ruled yesterday. A three-judge panel
said a 2004 voter-approved ban on homosexual "marriage" also
applies to same-sex domestic partner benefits. The decision
reverses a 2005 ruling from an Ingham County judge who
said universities and governments could provide the benefits.
"The marriage amendment's plain language prohibits public
employers from recognizing same-sex unions for any purpose,"
the court wrote.

Here, here , lets move to Michigan. the people to the north
seems to have some common sense.

Where is Governor Lawton ?

First One Out

I'm surprised it took this long and not surprised Hillary
was the first to say it.

Hillary vows to end war

You have to say she is on the ball. She will play on peoples

fears and emotions . She can and will say to all us idiots that she

was the first to call for an end to the Iraqy war. I not sure

how she would do that but, that doesn't matter.

By Donald LambroTHE WASHINGTON TIMES

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said yesterday she would
end the Iraq war as president if the conflict was still raging
when she took office. "If we in Congress don't end this war
before January 2009, as president, I will," the New York
Democrat said at the Democratic National Committee Winter
Meeting here.

The real question is will people believe her enough to want to
vote for her. How many times will Bill screw someone or
something up ? Doesn't matter , the main stream media will
never tell us! So much for Hillary. No matter what happens ,
one , if its bad its Bushs fault, if its good , Hillary will take
the credit!

EPA - Local Issue ?

How far will the EPA go for the public good?
We are having the EPA coming to our lake this year to do studies.
How far will they go ? What mandates will be put forward?
This is getting scary!

From Countertop Chronicles Link

Last week, EPA charged four feedlots in Iowa with illegal discharges of agricultural wastewater.
Owner Alan Zellmer told Brownfield Friday the EPA accusation came as a "total shock," and that the EPA had no evidence he had actually polluted. "They have no physical evidence whatsoever, "Zellmer said. "The allegation comes from a model that they have in Kansas City, and they ran our average rainfall through a model, and it says that I discharged, but they have no physical evidence whatsoever."Brownfield spoke with officials at EPA's Region 7 headquarters in Kansas City Friday. Regional Administrator John Askew confirmed that in Zellmer's case, the accusation that Zellmer is a polluter is, indeed, based on an engineering model. Askew also confirmed the EPA doesn't actually know if a discharge has actually occurred."There is a high probability that there has been discharges, so, yes, we are using a model," Askew said. But EPA attorney Dan Breedlove told Brownfield the model is accurate. "Just because there hasn't been a fishkill reported doesn't mean that there hasn't been impairment to the waterways," Breedlove
asserted.

Wow , someone from our area making sense?
Sen. Robert Cowles (R-Green Bay) said the issue comes
down to whether the state can afford to fund them.
“There were a lot of great idea talked about, in health care
and education, but when you're talking about new initiatives,
I think it's very problematic as far as coming up with the
ongoing dollars,” he said.

And from Our local Gary Tauchen tax increases and the
smoking ban.
“You're not going to find many Republicans that are going to
support a tax increase,” Tauchen said. “I don't think we need a
tax increase for people to know that smoking's bad for them.”
Is Gary giving lip service or does he really believe this?

I have to be up front here. I meet Mr Tauchen at our town
meeting. When he mentioned he worked in the Clinton
administration it made me wonder, is he a liberal in a republican
suit. You know RINO! He said he was against TABOR, I am
assuming he is for ethanol mandates, corn subsidies etc. So that's
two strikes against him already. When the third shoe drops then
I will know. Will he bend to Doyle's and the Dem's whims?
Will he support Governor Layton when the time comes?
Time will tell!

What IS A Billion

I know this has been around, But seems too good to not
pass along! Thanks Wayne

WHAT IS A BILLION?
Here is something to tax your Gray Cells!!!
What Is A Billion? The next time you hear a politician use
the word "billion" in a casual manner, think about whether
you want the "politicians" spending your tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one
advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure
into some perspective in one of its releases.

a. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

b. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

c. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

d. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

e. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minute s, at the
rate our government is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look
at New Orleans. It's amazing what you can learn with some simple
division. Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is presently
asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans.

Interesting number...What does it mean?

a. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every
man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.

b. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans, your
home gets $1,329,787.

c. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.

Kagen Watch Local Slant

From the Shawano Leader

Kagen: Nothing to apologize for in White House visit
By Tim Ryan, Leader Reporter

U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen said Friday he is sorry the
controversy surrounding his comments about a White
House visit last year has created what he called a distraction,
but said he has done nothing for which he feels the need to
apologize.
“I haven’t acted in a way that requires an apology,” Kagen
told a Leader reporter during a visit here Friday.
The brouhaha that has blown up in recent weeks surrounds
comments Kagen made Dec. 19 to a group of peace activists
that were reported in The Scene, a monthly entertainment
publication that circulates in the Fox Valley.
During that meeting, Kagen gave his account of a gathering
at the White House for new members of Congress after the
November election.
“I tried to relate in that meeting what happened accurately.”
Kagen said. “I think that I did.”
But, Kagen said, his account did not translate well on the printed
page.
“If I’ve mishandled anything, I’ve mishandled the press,”
Kagen said. “I’ve mishandled the entire opportunity to put
something down as just a comedic moment.”
Kagen said Friday that he did mistakenly refer to first lady
Laura Bush as Barbara, though other published accounts have
had him making the mistake intentionally.
“I did mistakenly refer to Mrs. Bush as Barbara,” Kagen said.
“There wasn’t anything disrespectful about it and it’s been
mischaracterized completely.”
Kagen also confirmed his comments to White House counsel
Karl Rove, saying it was true that he said: “I’m Dr. Multi-
millionaire and I kicked your a--.”

How many times is he going to change his story?
Now he did say "Barbara"!
Now he did sayu he would kick Rove's Ass!!!!!

Can this idiot set the story straight and move on !

Big Oil To The Rescue

A Great Article from WSJ Opinion Journal

When will Americans beg for big oil?
When will we beg for drilling in Anwar?
When will we beg for off shore drilling along our coasts?

Very, Very Big Corn
Ethanol and its consequences.
Saturday, January 27, 2007 12:01 a.m. EST
President Bush made a big push for alternative fuels in
his State of the Union speech Tuesday night, calling on
Americans to reduce gasoline consumption by 20% over
10 years. And as soon as the sun rose on Wednesday, he
set out to tour a DuPont facility in Delaware to tout the
virtues of "cellulosic ethanol" and propose $2 billion in
loans to promote the stuff. For a man who famously hasn't
taken a drink for 20 years, that's a considerable intake of
alcohol.

AT the end of the article.

So here comes Big Corn. Make that Very, Very Big Corn.
Sooner or later, our experience with this huge public gamble
may make us yearn for the efficiency, capacity, lower cost and--
yes--superior environmental record of "Big Oil."

Latte Protests
Tuesday January 18, 2028
New World Times 3:00 pm edition
The Capitol , New York City
Jan Millhouse

President Chelsea Clinton presented her State of the World
address today at World Headquarters amid controversy
outside the newly built world headquarters. Protesters
cried out chants of "free our people" as she set forth her
agenda for the first five years of her ten year term.
The protesters have been staging their protests the past three
days for three straight hours per day ( 12:00 noon to 3:00 p m )
over the arrest of Star Bunks coffee ceo John Anderson for raising
the price of his chocolate latte without the permission of the pricing
commission headed by her mother Hillary Rodham .

Violence finally subsided when Ms Clinton promised a $4.00 discount
on the Mocha latte but could not bend to the pressure of the protesters
on the double chocolate . She also said she would contemplate
freeing Mr Anderson in twenty years, (Anderson was one of the
few male CEO 's left in the new government owned businesses)
in the "United World Order".
She was not happy dealing with a male, but also understands
the importants of the latte break all government
businesses are required to have at 1:00 p m .
"People have a right to protest latte but it is not
like in the past when ugly males and we the only great females
of the world could our own businesses".
"Private business is a thing of the past, we are no longer male
dominated , males are not born ", she said. "I will not stand for any
government business making changes without the strict authority
from our greatest hero worship Hillary"!

Professor Pat Wyatt ( he or she, we were not sure at the time of
this article)was disappointed that the younger generation cannot
do protests like (he/she) and their generation did back in 2007.
We protested and that evil one was impeached and taken to
Siberia forever! "those were the days , (not allowed to mention
evil ones name)!
History buffs all agree 2007 was our finest hour. "To overthrow the
satin of all satins and send him away forever is what built this
communist world order", said Pat( he/she , still not sure)!

The bell for three o'clock rang and all streets were deserted by 3:05.
Protesters all promised to be back again when they could find
something to protest. Ms, Clinton was beaming to Davos , to her retreat
residence in the Alps after the speech.

the future.

I will try to imagine what the news will be in the
future. It could be two years from now ,ten years from now
or even thirty years when I hope my lovely wife and I are in
our golden ages. I hope this works and hope you enjoy them .

Cowards and Hypocrites.

An editorial from the New York Post

BETRAYING AMERICA
January 28, 2007 -- What a bunch of hypocrites.
Congressional Democrats, having just given their
imprimatur to President Bush's new Iraq-theater
commander, are about to declare that the officer
shouldn't have the resources he needs to get the job done.

.......
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader
Harry Reid are so determined to undercut the president
that they have little regard for the consequences of their
actions. Yet the stakes are as high as they can get.

How do we fight a war, how do we fight our enemy.
Who is our enemy? You have to wonder, are the democrats
our enemy or is Al-Quida our enemy?
These days it's hard to tell. I understand people are tired
of the war! Tired of hearing of the daily killing! The main
stream media has painted such a negative picture you can't
help but to wonder what is going on.

To take away funding will only embolden our real enemy.
To bring the war to our soil is what will eventually happen.
Now we see story after story on protesters against the war,
"impeach Bush",yada ,yada, yada. What will these protesters
do when subway cars start blowing up?

The main point ,congress will pull funds , democrats will look
like hero's. The enemy will attack us and the libs, democrats,
and protesters will then blame Bush for not protecting our country.

Th democrat agenda is not about saving our country it is only
about destroying Bush!
Plain and simple! If a democrat gets in the office in 08
and a disaster happens it will still be on George Bush's hands.
If a hurricane levels Florida in 2010 it will be Bush's fault.
If gas prices go up in 09 it will still be bush's fault( he didn't spend
enough money on renewable fuel).Cold temperatures , Bush didn't
do anything on global warning.

The main point here is the liberals in congress are cowards and
hypocrites. They do not stand for our constitution , they do not
stand for what is right, they only stand for power, the power they
lost in 94 and will not want to give up for any reason today.
Will people ever be told or see the truth? Time will tell.
