One GREAT American

From You Tube.

Liz, CHEW EM UP!!!

A GREAT Conservative!

Martin #5

from NASCAR.com
""If you ask me, the 600 is shaping up to be a Mark Martin-type race. He's in superb shape, and if that No. 5 team can put a decent car under him, watch out. He's already won twice in the Hendrick car this season. He can really wheel a car around Charlotte, anyhow. If you throw the endurance factor into the equation, he might just be the man to beat there on Sunday."

Martin won the 600 in 2002 and has six other top-five finishes in the race. In 48 Cup races at Lowe's, Martin has three wins and 22 top-10s. He also won the season's last points race, two weeks ago at Darlington.

"Mark's physical condition is definitely going to help him on Sunday," said Alan Gustafson, his crew chief. "This race is grueling. A normal race can take a lot out of a driver, but add another 100 miles onto it and it gets even more intense."" NASCAR.COM - Cup's endurance race a physical challenge to some - May 22, 2009

How True

Email from a friend.

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a
well. The animal cried piteously for hours as
the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the
well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and
help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began
to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried
horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he
quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally
looked down the well. He was astonished at what
he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel
dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
stepped up over the edge of the well and
happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well
is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone.. We can get out
of the deepest wells just by not stopping,
never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred - Forgive..

Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.

Live simply and appreciate what you have.

Give more.

Expect less

NOW .............

Enough of that crap . . . The donkey later came back, and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him.
The gash from the bite got infected and
the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.

MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:

When you do something wrong, and try to cover
your ass, it always comes back to bite you.

You have two choices...smile and close this
page, or pass this along to someone else to
spread the fun.

Same Old Kagen

From Jo at FoxPolitics

"So Dr. Kagen’s first cop-out is that he’s no longer an owner of his eponymous clinic (primarily because of patient privacy considerations I believe, as otherwise, all detailed revenue information would need be released). For crying out loud, Kagen ran on the premise that he had this successful medical practice and as a result, he could be counted on to solve the nation’s health care woes…. So if you had these deep-seated beliefs about the health care system, wouldn’t you make changes in your own backyard first? Come on, no big deal. Why scare people into thinking we have terror threats. With the left in charge nothing will happen to us!

My question did they do illegal wire taps? Was their rights violated? This started when that evil Bush was in office. It's his fault! Four right wing extremists?

Where's the ACLU when you need them.

Those on the left just can't see between the tree's!

Milwaukee / UWMadison Absolutely Nuts

From JSOnline.

First I thought 250,000 to 500,000 for a superintendent is insane.

Then I see how much ( which is less) UWM spent for Biddy Matin on Hotels and I got to say, "the world has gone insane! How can you spend $38.000 on hotel expenses? You can get a Super 8 for 52 bucks a night.
"Attea said the cost of a superintendent search generally is based on 30% of the annual pay for the job. Including payments to his retirement fund and other benefits, Andrekopoulos' pay is under $200,000, and 30% of that would be under $60,000. Add in some expenses of the search and you come up with the $70,000 figure Attea suggested.

As another comparison point, consider the search that led to Biddy Martin being chosen in 2008 as University of Wisconsin-Madison chancellor. That cost just under $140,000, not including the time faculty and staff spent on the search, said David Musolf, UW-Madison's secretary of the faculty. The state's public flagship university spent about $72,000 on a search firm, about $17,000 on advertising, roughly $38,000 for hotel expenses and the remainder on incidental expenses such as postage, printing, phone charges and travel expenses, Musolf said." How much should Milwaukee spend on its superintendent search? - JSOnline

The left has gone insane with out of control spending and I hope people will wake up soon!

The left sure knows how to spend our (taxes) money!

You Don't Say

From JSOnline
"Higher ethanol blend could ruin small engines, makers say

By Rick Barrett of the Journal Sentinel

Posted: May. 18, 2009

An effort to raise the 10% limit on ethanol in gasoline has misfired with Wisconsin engine makers Briggs & Stratton Corp., Mercury Marine, and the maker of Evinrude outboard engines.

Testing has not yet shown whether higher levels of the fuel additive are acceptable and safe, the National Marine Manufacturers Association, a Chicago-based trade group, said Monday in a Washington, D.C., news conference.

Increasing the ethanol blend to 15%, currently being considered by the Environmental Protection Agency, could damage or ruin millions of small engines and possibly worsen air pollution, according to the engine manufacturers." Higher ethanol blend could ruin small engines, makers say - JSOnline

Name The Top 100 Citation's

From Fox 11.

RACCE Does Not Mean NASCAR Racing

I have to wonder what "more than 100 other violations were also cited" were?
"Preliminary numbers show hundreds of citations were handed out and several arrests made during RACCE-- Reducing Auto Crashes through Corridor Enforcement.

The biggest offenses turned out to be-- not buckling up --187 citations issued, and Speeding--159 tickets. But the law enforcement mobilization--paid for by a federal grant-- also resulted in two driving under the influence arrests, two drug offenses, two felony arrests and two fugitives being apprehended. In addition, more than 100 other violations were also cited, and every time a motorist saw a flashing light the hope is they took notice too." Highway 41 arrests and citations

Credit Where Credit Is Due

I give credit to President Obama for doing the right thing last week.

Thank You Mr. President.
"He pushed through the House a spending bill to finance the war in Afghanistan and reversed himself, deciding to fight the release of photos purportedly showing humiliating treatment of detainees in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mr. Obama also announced he would have some detainees at the U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, tried by military commissions, putting him at odds with much of his liberal political base, but winning striking praise from Republicans who contrasted his sober decisions against the accusations of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that the CIA has lied to her and Congress continually.

"I think you see the difference between a man who understands the war and the threat and a politician who is bent on political revenge," said Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican. " Republicans salute Obama's military tack - Washington Times
