Side note on Martin. Seems rumors are starting that Martin will bow out of the # 5 and let Kahne take over in 2011.Looks like the writing is on the wall since Kahne announced he was going to Hendricks. Guess I will have to buy a different flag in 2011.

McCormick gets endorsement from Right to Life
An Appleton candidate for Wisconsin's 8th Congressional District seat announced on Friday she received an endorsement from Wisconsin Right to Life.
Terri McCormick, a Republican seeking the seat now held by Democrat Steve Kagen of Appleton, is the latest of the Republican candidates to cite support from organization.
The organization also offered endorsements to fellow candidates Reid Ribble, Roger Roth and Marc Savard.

I looked at the Appleton Post Crescent and they had the same article. My question is, are the two papers endorsing McCormick or are they afraid of McCormick? You know the old saying, "hell has no fury like a woman scorned."The reason I say that, word is McCormick expects the nomination because she thought she was shafted by the republican party when she first ran for the 8th district. Second, word is she will get even with anyone who get's in her way. That's not the kind of leadership I am looking for in the September primary election. My take, the media is afraid of Terry McCormick.

The lack of said “other details” likely means that we don’t even get to know the baby’s name, which is unfortunate. Several other drivers, including 4-time champion Jeff Gordon, have been so excited about their children that they show them off on television and tell the world about them.
By the looks of it, the Johnsons want to go about the birth of their child a different way.
Now comes the fun part; with no details being released, we get to speculate as to what the new baby’s name is. Lil’ Miss Four-Time, anyone?
Second, HAS HE LOST HIS MIND?It's Saturday morning as I write this. I'm watching the cup qualifying last night and they bring up Johnson and his wife had baby on Wednesday but didn't name the child yet. Hummmmm,seems kind of odd.Then they interview the #48 driver and he say's he and his wife always have problems making decisions. They want to really think about it. Jimmy, it's your daughters name. What's the big deal? Does he want Chad Knaus to make their decision? Does he want Richard Childress to give the name? Is he doing a Lowe's "name the baby" contest? Is he waiting to win a fifth championship to name the baby? This guy has a serious problem and it now coming out. He's so into himself with his four championships that he can't think straight. His precious baby is hanging out there in limbo and he says we always have problems making decisions, WOW! I question the stability of this guy. Will anyone else say it or are many just thinking it? Name the baby Jamie or something else and get on with it. What a flake! Somebody better keep a close watch on Jimmie Johnson.
To the other 42 drivers in tonight's race, you better stay clear of Jimmie Johnson! He'll take you with him!

Related to these pundits and those in the know in the republican party, let me add my beef to "So Called Republican Pundits, RNC, Republicans, Rino's and Contributions." Listening to Rush on Tuesday's show, a caller tells Rush the problem was that republicans are not contributing to the RNC, etc., etc all around the flap with Steele.Waaaa, Waaaa, Waaaaa, people need to contribute to republicans and are not. As Mrs B was shopping, let be paraphrase and clean up my colorful language and comments sitting out in the parking lot."Why in the heck should I give anyone money when conservative voters get burned with Rino's getting into office! They claim to be conservative when they run and then in Washington they cozy up to the democrats and the main stream media. Why should I support the RNC, shall we bring up Elana Kagen, block the dam vote!. I sure the hell do not listen to Bill Kristol. We got burned in the presidential election and now they want me to go another round! Steele's comments are a side issue. Steele and the rest of republicans in the RNC don't get it. Until they do, it's no money from me! What the hell do republicans play me for? I look at the Republican 8th race and only see one candidate that might pass the mustard. Time will tell. No candidate is owed the nomination, not from a past election or from the RNC itself. I am very cautious about the candidates. I can see some of them as moving left and kissing up to Washington if they ever get there.
A local blogger asked me about putting endorsements on my blog. For now I will not do that. One, I'm a little blogger in the north woods, who cares about my comments anyway. Two, when the time comes I will not endorse anyione. I will tell my three readers who I will vote for and why, period! It's a pain in the rear to hear candidates campaigning to the right and then in Washington going left. Look at the crock Nancy Pelosi's puppet Steve Kagen is doing. Steve Kagen questions Obama Administration’s decision to sue Arizona
Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. issued a statement today in response to the Obama Administration’s decision to bring a lawsuit against the State of Arizona because of their new state law giving local police the authority to detain and question individuals suspected of being in Arizona illegally.
“The action taken today by the U.S. Attorney General distracts our nation from addressing the real challenges we face: securing our borders, enforcing all our immigration laws, and stopping illegal immigration. "FLORENCE, Wis. - The UW Extension office in Florence County is encouraging residents to take steps to control wild parsnip, an invasive plant that can cause rash and blisters in humans.
Scott Reuss of the UW Extension said that the plant is currently in bloom.
Wild parsnip has an upside down, umbrella-shaped flower head with yellow flowers, and is found in a variety of soil types. Generally, the plant thrives where the water availability is fairly good.
There are many other plants in the parsnip family that are also in bloom right now, but wild parsnip is the only one with yellow flowers.
Wild parsnip has negative environmental characteristics, such as having the ability to crowd out some native wildflowers, but it is actually more problematic to humans than to the environment.
This plant contains a chemical that causes a severe rash and blistering when exposed to skin and sunlight."

From America Tax Reform via Rush"In just six months, the largest tax hikes in the history of America will take effect. They will hit families and small businesses in three great waves on January 1, 2011:
First Wave: Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief
In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families. These will all expire on January 1, 2011:
Personal income tax rates will rise. The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6 percent (this is also the rate at which two-thirds of small business profits are taxed). The lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent. All the rates in between will also rise. Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the same mathematical effect as higher marginal tax rates. The full list of marginal rate hikes is below:
- The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%
- The 25% bracket rises to 28%
- The 28% bracket rises to 31%
- The 33% bracket rises to 36%
- The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%
Higher taxes on marriage and family. The “marriage penalty” (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of income. The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child. The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for married couples relative to the single level. The dependent care and adoption tax credits will be cut.
The return of the Death Tax. This year, there is no death tax. For those dying on or after January 1 2011, there is a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million. A person leaving behind two homes and a retirement account could easily pass along a death tax bill to their loved ones.
Higher tax rates on savers and investors. The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011. The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011. These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.
Second Wave: Obamacare
There are over twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare. Several will first go into effect on January 1, 2011. They include:
The “Medicine Cabinet Tax” Thanks to Obamacare, Americans will no longer be able to use health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or health reimbursement (HRA) pre-tax dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).
The “Special Needs Kids Tax” This provision of Obamacare imposes a cap on flexible spending accounts (FSAs) of $2500 (Currently, there is no federal government limit). There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children. There are thousands of families with special needs children in the United States, and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education. Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington, D.C. (National Child Research Center) can easily exceed $14,000 per year. Under tax rules, FSA dollars can be used to pay for this type of special needs education.
The HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike. This provision of Obamacare increases the additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent.
Third Wave: The Alternative Minimum Tax and Employer Tax Hikes

When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2011, they’ll be in for a nasty surprise—the AMT won’t be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired. The major items include:
The AMT will ensnare over 28 million families, up from 4 million last year. According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center, Congress’ failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT taxpaying families—rising from 4 million last year to 28.5 million. These families will have to calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level. The AMT was created in 1969 to ensnare a handful of taxpayers."
