Study sees big deficit
Accounting method differs from state's

Madison - The state's financial books show that Wisconsin ended
the last fiscal year with a $2.15 billion deficit, under accounting
principles that are standard for private companies, according to
a report that the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance released Friday.

The $2.15 billion deficit - nearly $400 for each of Wisconsin's 5.5
million residents - is about what the state spends to run correctional
institutions or the University of Wisconsin System over a
two-year budget.

As put by some bloggers ,

Did Jim Doyle know about this?

Was Jim Doyle not told about the deficit and should someone
get fired for it?

Did Jim Doyle know about it and just lied to the people of Wisconsin?

Can we say Barbara Lawton ???????????????????????????????

First let me say our prayers are with the family of Mr. Ford

Gift Cards

Wendy from Boots and Sabers has the thought for the day
about gift cards Link
The reason I like his heads up is my two boys have been
holding gift cards and I wonder if they will get their full value.
For those of you (libs and candys ) he has some advice on
how to read your gift card.

Turn the gift card over and read the tiny print on the back.
It may tell you that you have x years to use the card, and
that after that the company may decrease the value of the
card by a certain amount each month or whatever.
Please note the date and the expiration date. Figure out a

way to use the card in the next one, two, three or whatever
years. Businesses don’t do this to make your life difficult.
They do this to prevent indefinite liabilities in their books.
It is a matter of simple bookkeeping (did you know
bookkeeping is the only word in the English language with
3 sets of double letters in a row?).

In short: Read your gift card. Use your gift card.
Don’t waste your gift card.

Merry Christmas

It is a time to reflect this holiday season.

From hip replacement , to family legal problems ,
to complications from hip surgery , to selling our
bussiness , to bankruptcy and now starting a new
job in sales in 2007 , I can honestly be thankful
for all that I have . I have the greatest gift that God
has given me and that is my family. I often ask the Lord
why he has blessed me with such a great wife, great children
and a super little grandson. I am truely blessed with such
a wonderful giftthat I could and will never ask Him for anything
else .

It is a time to give thanks and reflect that our Lord
and Savior was born over 2000 years ago. It is he who
saved us for our sins. It was a babe in a manger that
gives us joy and love this Christmas season.
His love is in everyone's heart. It is said,
"to receive you must first give" .
He gives His love to all .

To all my family and freinds , to all our troops serving at home
and overseas, to our president and to this great country
of ours.

I want to say to you and your love ones,

Merry Christmas
May God Bless you
and may God bless America

Nice Story About Nice People

From Charlie Sykes show and the Milwaukee Journal

LINK to article

Generac workers get a holiday surprise

George Plehn, a factory worker at Generac Power
Systems Inc., was shocked to come home from work
and find a $31,000 Christmas gift in the mail.
It was a check from Robert and Patricia Kern.
Robert Kern, recently retired, was the founder of Generac,

a Waukesha County company that makes residential,
commercial and industrial power generators. This week,
the Kerns mailed checks to employees that easily added
up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. The total amount
remains a mystery because the Kerns aren't talking about it,
but employees said some people got nearly $50,000.

You have to give Mr.and Mrs. Kerns a lot of credit for
doing something good. As with a saying I say to my family

"You must give before you can receive"

Now I would like to give you a quiz . Get a paper and pencil and
write down the amount of taxes these people should be taxed
on the money they received. Take the person who received
$50,000.00 .

What would be fair ?

10% should be taxed ? - $5000.00 should be paid !

20 % should be taxed? - $ 10,000.00 should be paid.!

25% should be paid? - $12,500.00 should be paid!

Remember , I asking what you think would be a fair tax,
not what reality is!
What is your answer_____________%

I will bet most of you Libs will not even be close!

Do you want to know what they will pay?
Scroll down for the answer!
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Thanks Charlie for the numbers

Ahhhhhhhhhh first lets start with;

Federal Tax - single or married couples
average 25 to 28 % depending how much they make.

Fed Tax, O K lets use 25% = $12,500.00

Now Wis State tax 6.5% = $3250.00

Now S. Security tax 6.2% = $3100.00

Wait , Medicare tax is 2.9% = $1450.00

Thats 40.6% and you got it .

That equals, WOW = $20,300.00

Wait you Libs and Candy's, what if they buy something ,
a car,
a hot tub,
new furniture ,

Ok they spend $20,000.00 and pay , lets say
5% sales tax , that + $1000.00

Thats $21,300.00 just in taxes!!!!!!!!!!

Think About it ,
when you hear we need to tax the rich!
Who is rich? Taxes are just to high !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can We All Say Jimmy Carter

Carter's Arab financiers

Jimmy, Jim bo , Jimmy crack corn and I don't know
Carter has always had strange opinions on the middle
East. Anti Israel all the way. You kind of get the idea
from the article that back in the seventies money
seemed to (a lot of money) be flying around Georgia.
As in Wisconsin can we say Pay for Play?

Mr. Carter may be a good man, yes I respect him for
being the President of the U.S., but he was a complete
failure when it came to foreign and domestic policy.

Remember the misery index!!!!!!!!!

1) Four possible answers: People are born with natural,

the people. The people can change their government if it
hurts their natural rights. All people are created equal.

Representatives. The president cannot make laws
but must sign bills passed by Congress for them to
become law.

4) John Roberts (John G. Roberts, Jr.)

5) So no branch is too powerful. Each branch provides
"checks and balances" on the others. The branches are
the executive, the legislative and the judicial.

of the U.S. Constitution written by James Madison,
Alexander Hamilton and John Jay.

Income Tax Distortion

This is another great artical about the distortion about
income taxes. Since the dems will be in controll on 07
they want to get rid alot of the tax breaks that went
into effect in 2001 and 2003.

From Milwauke Journal online and Patrick McIlheran,
LINK

Do you libs and cadys understand these comments?

"Debate over taxes illustrates this. Resurgent,
Democrats say they'll let President Bush's tax cuts expire."
Not all of them, though: They'll keep some breaks, they say,
that help the meritoriously unrich. It may surprise you that
there were any, since the left's unrelenting line has been that
the cuts shafted the middle class.
They didn't. The non-partisan Tax Foundation reports that
in 2000, people earning more than $200,000 a year, roughly
the top 2%, paid 47% of all federal income taxes, including
those on dividends and capital gains.
In 2004, after the Bush cuts, those making over $200,000
paid 50% of federal income taxes.
Every income group making more than $75,000 a year
saw its share of the burden increase from 2000 to 2004.
Every group under that saw its share decrease. In 2004,
about 45% of all taxpayers making less than $50,000 paid
no income tax at all, up from 32% in 2000.
Nor is this a momentary quirk. In 1980, the top 5% of earners
paid 37% of federal income taxes. In 2004, those in the top 5%
paid 57% of the nation's income taxes. By contrast, the bottom
50% of earners paid 7% of federal income taxes in 1980; they
paid 3% in 2004. These trends have run almost uninterrupted
since then.

I like this line ,
To which the left's answer has been, "So what?"

"So What", The rich are paying more taxes , the middle
income is paying almost no taxes and you lefties want to
raise taxes?

We just love you lefties, thanks for raising our taxes!

To A Great American

To a Great Lady and a Great American.

"Jeanne , enjoy heaven"

From the New York Sun

December 08, 2006

Jeane Kirkpatrick, RIP; 'But Then, They Always Blame
America First'

Update IV: 10:51 a.m.: John Bolton was just on CNN. Clearly
choking back tears, he said that "it really is very sad for america"
and that Kirkpatrick "will be greatly missed." He said:
"She never forgot who she was representing ... she was one of
the most outstanding advocates of American foreign policy in
American history ... She spoke clearly for liberty in the world.
"Bolton also said that Kirkpatrick made it clear at the United
Nations that America's cause was advanced when "liberty was
advanced." We're told that Jeane Kirkpatrick died yesterday
afternoon.Update: Kirkpatrick served as a foreign policy adviser
to Ronald Reagan and then as the American ambassador to the
United Nations (1981-1985). She was a great cold war warrior,
and the "Kirkpatrick Doctrine" advocated support for anti-communist
governments across the world. It was her article in Commentary
Magazine, entitled "Dictatorships and Double Standards" that brought
her to the attention of Reagan.
The day after the September 11, 2001, attacks, she urged Congress
to declare war against the "entire fundamentalist Islamic terrorist
network.

"Update II: One of Kirkpatrick's most famous speeches was when
she blasted "San Francisco Democrats" at the August 20, 1984,
Republican Convention. It is as true today, as it was then:

This is the first Republican Convention I have ever attended. I am
grateful that you should invite me, a lifelong Democrat. On the
other hand, I realize that you are inviting many lifelong Democrats
to join this common cause ...
A recent article in The New York Times noted that "the foreign
policy line that emerged from the Democratic National Convention
in San Francisco is a distinct shift from the policies of such
[Democratic] presidents as Harry S Truman, John F. Kennedy
and Lyndon B. Johnson." I agree ...
When the San Francisco Democrats treat foreign affairs as an
afterthought, as they did, they behaved less like a dove or a hawk
than like an ostrich - convinced it would shut out the world by
hiding its head in the sand.
Today, foreign policy is central to the security, to the freedom,
to the prosperity, even to the survival of the United States. And
our strength, for which we make many sacrifices, is essential to
the independence and freedom of our allies and our friends ...
The United States cannot remain an open, democratic society if
we are left alone -- a garrison state in a hostile world. We need
independent nations with whom to trade, to consult and cooperate.
We need friends and allies with whom to share the pleasures and
the protection of our civilization.

Gillett Basketball

Great write up for the Gillett boys basketball program
in the Green Bay Press Gazette Link

Peshtigo returns 6-10 senior Drew Votis, a first-team
all-conference pick last season and one of the best post
players in the league.

If Votis isn't the best big man in the conference,
Gillett junior Tyler Tietyen would get the nod. The 6-7
standout averaged 20.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per
game as a sophomore and is complemented in the scoring
department by senior Jordan Soper, who scored 15
points per game last season.

Speaking of basketball I thought I would give my 2 cents
on what happens every year in high school sports.
example,
Our Gillett boys varsity team has a good start to the season.
We have great athletes and great parents of those athletes.
Then you hear every year parents talking about" why is the
coach starting freshman on the team" , or "yea, the only
reason the coach's kid has been on varsity for his first three
years is because his dad is the coach". Also "the freshman on
the team knew he was going to be on varsity before the season
started, thats not fair, they should try out at the begining
of the season like everyone else ".

Also , it's not fair that the coach doesn't let my son play,
WAWAWAWAWAWAWA

Well I 'm sorry but,

first, when you have a boy that is 6' 7" and some talent,
you play him. If you have freshman with talent ,
you play them. If you have kids that love the game but are
not good enough, fine. A true lesson in life. "If you have talent you
play, if you don't have talent you don't play".

Second , he is the coach! Why don't these arm chair
parents volenteer to coach basketball! If the coach is
making decisions with parent manipulation than he
should not be a coach . I don't think this is the case in
Gillett.

Third, I have a sophmore son who is 6 ' 2", he's a great
kid but if he doesn't have the skills yet to be a star
basketball player , so be it! He loves basketball and
he is there for the love of the game , not the statas of
"look at me , I should be on varsity . Gee'z, he only a
sophmore! If he wants to be a great player , I cannot force
him to play good . He has to want it , he has to Work Hard,
Study Hard, Play Hard"

Third , if Gillette has two freshman that are good players ,
and they have the talent to help the team win ,good let
them play! I am sorry but if a boy has talent
and the team wins , so be it, let them play. It goes back to the
question of who's coaching? The coach or the parents.

Fourth , I live in a great area , all the schools in the area
are great, but I have to draw the line( sorry Suring) .
Gillett plays Suring tonight . It's like one of those cross
town rivalrys. Suring has a great team , well coached and
a lot of talent , but they are competition. If Gillett has talented
kids to beat the confrence champs , so be it. If it takes
freshman to help the team win , it's fine with me. If some
of the kids don't play , I'm sorry , they need to work harder
to become a better player and they too can play varsity.

Every year you get the same complaints , my little boy isn't
starting , he's not a little boy any more! My little girl didn't
even get a chance to play! Should you tell her to quit
if she doesn't play?

How will our future leaders ever learn real lessons in life.

How will they cope with the pitfalls of, money problems ,
family problems , job losses, heartbreak , love, yes even hate
etc.,etc..
When they are on their own, will they worry about,
raising a family , work a career, marrage, divorce , money,
bankruptcy, alcohal, drugs , children, abortion, the list goes
on and on.

Parents, teach your children that life may not always be fair
but it is up to them how to cope with the good and the bad,
the fair and unfair, winning and losing .

If their report card is not good enough , tell them what
you expect them it should be. If they don't play ,tell them
they need to practice more. If they have a bad day, talk to
them and say "your going to have a lot of bad days but you
also will have a lot of great days ahead ".

I think not all but most or some parents are those self indulged ,
self absorbed baby boomers, yes I am a boomer also but I do
not think I am one of those people !, oop's, sorry but this subject
is better left to another time.

How many parents will say to their children;

The glass if half full not half empty.

You can get more with honey than you can with
vinager.

Inspect what you expect. (Parents this one is for you)

To the Gillett coach .
I believe in you, you were hired to coach , you were
hired to win . I'm with you 100%, let's win!!!!!!! Tell
any parent that thinks they know better to go back
to the stands and cheer the team on or don't come to
watch the games!

To the athletes , coaches and parents , something from a
man that knew what he was talking about.

Success - The difference between a successful person
and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge,
but rather in a lack of will.

Eight Point Buck

From the Milwaukee Journal

Town of Addison - An eight-point buck that the Slinger
Fire Department's dive rescue team saved Tuesday night
from drowning in Big Cedar Lake was recovering Wednesday
from shock and hypothermia at a farm in Addison.

LINK to Story.

There are many guys that I know that would not call
the fire department , not me but there are some that
would......... wonder or would not think twice that it
should not go through the suffering it is going through.

Glad to see the dear is getting better!!!!!!!!!!!

Question, who paid the fire department for the rescue?

Dec 7,1941

To which most cady's did not learn their history
in school ( even though they were their, they did not
learn anything). They need to learn and understand
what F D R said in his speech on Dec. 7 , 1941. If Pearl
Harbor happened today and F D R was a republican ,
would the Cady's stand behind him , agree with him?
I know many people where I live, (my mothers two brothers
were in WWII) , that will cry when they talk about our country
back during WWII and without taking a breath and spew hate
about President Bush .
How can they believe WWII was right when over 400,000
Americans gave up their lives for freedom. Pearl Harbor
lost around 2400 brave Americans , September 7th
lost over 3000 citizens of this country. I asked a WWII vet .,
"why did we go to war with Germany in WWII even though
they did not attack us ". His comment was " They sank some
of our ships in the Atlantic". Then he made the comment that "it's
the Jews fault in Israel for all of the problems we have ". First
what does Israel have to do with WWII or Sept. 11, I don't know.
Second, I should of reminded him that the pentagon in
Washington D C was atacked but still, his hatred for
republicans or hatred for President Bush is more than
they can understand.
Know this, I respect the people that gave us our freedom
in WWII but I think they forget we are Americans too !
We have young men and and women voluntering for our armed
forces, why does the older generation not give these brave
Americans respect like we have given to them.

So to the people who forgot what Dec 7th means to Americans ,
to the CADYS who do not believe in our freedoms , they only
believe in their agendas.

To the young of our country, they are our future, they will
be our future leaders ,

Please read and appreciate a part of our history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Pearl Harbor Speech, December 8, 1941
*** Quote ***
To the Congress of the United States
Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy -
the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately
attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the
solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with the
government and its emperor looking toward the
maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after
Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu,
the Japanese ambassador to the United States and his
colleagues delivered to the Secretary of State a formal
reply to a recent American message. While this reply
stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing
diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint
of war or armed attack.
It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from
Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately
planned many days or even weeks ago. During the
intervening time, the Japanese government has deliberately
sought to deceive the United States by false statements and
expressions of hope for continued peace.
The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian islands has caused
severe damage to American naval and military forces.
Very many American lives have been lost. In addition,
American ships have been reported torpedoed on the
high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.
Yesterday, the Japanese government also launched
an attack against Malaya.

Last night, Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.

Last night, Japanese forces attacked Guam.

Last night, Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.

Last night, the Japanese attacked Wake Island.

This morning, the Japanese attacked Midway Island.
J
apan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive
extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of
yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the
United States have already formed their opinions
and well understand the implications to the very l
ife and safety of our nation.

As commander in chief of the Army and Navy,
I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.
Always will we remember the character of the onslaught
against us.
No matter how long it may take us to overcome this
premeditated invasion, the American people in their
righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the
people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves
to the uttermost, but will make very certain that this form
of treachery shall never endanger us again.
Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our
people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounding
determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable
triumph - so help us God.
I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked
and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, Dec. 7, a state
of war has existed between the United States and the
Japanese empire.

Wisconsin C A P

This is interesting , from the Washington Times Link

People in Virginia are right on, where's the
Wisconsin PAC . Wisconsin seems to be right for this
with all the RINO's .

Look at Rino Dean Kaufert from Neenah, he didn't get to
head the republicans in Madison and now he's mad ! Says
he might turn into a Dem since most of the people in his
district voted for Kerry in 06. wa,wa,wa,wa,wa,wa, !
I can just hear him say "Since you won't be nice to me
I'm going to change partys".
Hey! The way you vote in Madison , go right ahead".
I even think I worked with him at the first Pick n Save
in Neenah, not sure if I liked him then, can't remember
but he can't be worth anything now .
Dean , don't let the door hit you as you leave !!!!!!

I learned two things since the last election.

one, listen to all the bi_ching from people when there
taxes go up and just smile .

two, if I discuss politics , do it sober, drinking and politics
just make people think your just a radical republican .

I S G REPORT

I see that the I S G report came out yesterday. Wow!!!!!!!1

As Rush calls it " the Iraq Surrender Group" doesn't seem to
be worth the paper it's printed on. Oh for you libs that don't
read the papers or did not listen to therest of the MSM
( ISG means "Iraq Study Group"). I would only hope nobody
seen or heard about it because they, one, don't understand it,
two would suck up all the false info or lies from the MSN anyway.

Well some interesting comments from the New York post, Link

From By JOHN PODHORETZ Link

From George Will Link

Well I have to feel sorry for the Iraqi people , it would seem the
people of the U S want to surrender and pull the troops out. You
know the Kurds remember the U S pullout after the first Gulf War.
5000 kurds gased by Saddam ( Didn't Jim Baker have his hand in
that one too).

Well I wonder what gasoline prices will be if we don't finish the job.
$4.00 gal, do I hear $4.50, Lets just round it off to $ 6.00 gal.
Iran and Syria will split Iraq in two to expand there boarders and
Israel would be wiped off the map. No, I think Israel has the Balls
to do what we cannot. They will fight for there lives, not like the
candyass libs and some Rhino's in Washington.

The ISG report seems to be what it is , worthless, no victory ,
only surrender. It's just hilarious the feeding frenzy the
MSN is having with this. Enough said !

Golf Shot Around The World

This is exiciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Russian astronaut on the space station will hit
a golf ball that will be the longest golf drive in the
world.

Why do I bring this to you is that there is a golf club
company that paid for the shot. I think I read that the
company paid $50,000.00 or $50,ooo,ooo.oo for the
experiment .

The club he is using a Element 21 Scandium driver.

Thankgiving Story That's Never Told

This is something everyone should tell their children for
Thanksgiving , the story that they do not hear in
school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On August 1, 1620, the Mayflower set sail. It carried a total
of 102 passengers, including forty Pilgrims led by William
Bradford. On the journey, Bradford set up an agreement,
a contract, that established just and equal laws for all members
of the new community, irrespective of their religious beliefs.
Where did the revolutionary ideas expressed in the Mayflower
Compact come from? From the Bible. The Pilgrims were a
people completely steeped in the lessons of the
Old and New Testaments. They looked to the ancient Israelites
for their example. And, because of the biblical precedents set
forth in Scripture, they never doubted that their experiment
would work. "But this was no pleasure cruise, friends.
The journey to the New World was a long and arduous one.
And when the Pilgrims landed in New England in November,
they found, according to Bradford's detailed journal, a cold,
barren, desolate wilderness, " destined to become the home
of the Kennedy family. "There were no friends to greet them,
he wrote. There were no houses to shelter them. There were
no inns where they could refresh themselves. And the sacrifice
they had made for freedom was just beginning. During the first
winter, half the Pilgrims – including
Bradford's own wife – died of either starvation, sickness or
exposure. "When spring finally came, Indians taught the settlers
how to plant corn, fish for cod and skin beavers for coats." Yes,
it was Indians that taught the white man how to skin beasts.
"Life improved for the Pilgrims, but they did not yet prosper!
This is important to understand because this is where modern
American history lessons often end. "Thanksgiving is actually
explained in some textbooks as a holiday for which the Pilgrims
gave thanks to the Indians for saving their lives, rather than as
a devout expression of gratitude grounded in the tradition of
both the Old and New Testaments. Here is the part [of
Thanksgiving] that has been omitted: The original contract the
Pilgrims had entered into with their merchant-sponsors in London
called for everything they produced to go into a common store, and
each member of the community was entitled to one common share.
"All of the land they cleared and the houses they built belong to the
community as well. They were going to distribute it equally. All of
the land they cleared and the houses they built belonged to the
community as well. Nobody owned anything. They just had a share
in it. It was a commune, folks. It was the forerunner to the
communes we saw in the '60s and '70s out in California – and it
was complete with organic vegetables, by the way. Bradford,
who had become the new governor of the colony, recognized
that this form of collectivism was as costly and destructive to
the Pilgrims as that first harsh winter, which had taken so many
lives. He decided to take bold action. Bradford assigned
a plot of land to each family to work and manage, thus turning
loose the power of the marketplace. "That's right. Long before
Karl Marx was even born, the Pilgrims had discovered and
experimented with what could only be described as socialism.
And what happened? It didn't work! Surprise, surprise, huh?
What Bradford and his community found was that the most
creative and industrious people had no incentive to work any
harder than anyone else, unless they could utilize the power
of personal motivation! But while most of the rest of the world
has been experimenting with socialism for well over a hundred
years – trying to refine it, perfect it, and re-invent it – the
Pilgrims decided early on to scrap it permanently. What Bradford
wrote about this social experiment should be in every schoolchild's
history lesson. If it were, we might prevent much needless
suffering in the future.

"'The experience that we had in this common course and condition,

tried sundry years...that by taking away property, and bringing
community into a common wealth, would make them happy and
flourishing – as if they were wiser than God,' Bradford wrote.
"For this community [so far as it was] was found to breed much
confusion and discontent, and retard much employment that would
have been to their benefit and comfort. For young men that were
most able and fit for labor and service did repine that they should
spend their time and strength to work for other men's wives and
children without any recompense...that was thought injustice.'
Why should you work for other people when you can't work for
yourself? What's the point? "Do you hear what he was saying,
ladies and gentlemen?
The Pilgrims found that people could not be expected to do their
best work without incentive. So what did Bradford's community
try next? They unharnessed the power of good old free enterprise
by invoking the undergirding capitalistic principle of private property.
Every family was assigned its own plot of land to work and permitted
to market its own crops and products. And what was the result?
'This had very good success,' wrote Bradford, 'for it made all hands
industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would
have been.' Bradford doesn't sound like much of a..." I wrote
"Clintonite" then. He doesn't sound much like a liberal Democrat,
"does he? Is it possible that supply-side economics could have existed
before the 1980s? Yes. "Read the story of Joseph and Pharaoh in
Genesis 41. Following Joseph's suggestion (Gen 41:34), Pharaoh
reduced the tax on Egyptians to 20% during the 'seven years of
plenty' and the 'Earth brought forth in heaps.' (Gen. 41:47) In no
time, the Pilgrims found they had more food than they could eat
themselves.... So they set up trading posts and exchanged goods
with the Indians. The profits allowed them to pay
off their debts to the merchants in London. And the success and
prosperity of the Plymouth settlement attracted more Europeans
and began what came to be known as the 'Great Puritan Migration.
'" Now, other than on this program every year, have you heard this
story before? Is this lesson being taught to your kids today -- and if it
isn't, why not? Can you think of a more important lesson one could
derive from the pilgrim experience? So in essence there was, thanks
to the Indians, because they taught us how to skin beavers and how
to plant corn when we arrived, but the real Thanksgiving was thanking
the Lord for guidance and plenty -- and once they reformed their
system and got rid of the communal bottle and started what was
essentially free market capitalism, they produced more than they
could possibly consume, and they invited the Indians to dinner,
and voila, we got Thanksgiving, and that's what it
was: inviting the Indians to dinner and giving thanks for all the
plenty is the true story of Thanksgiving.

The last two-thirds of this story simply are not told.

Gillett Basketball

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ,

I know my son will be on varsity soon!

How bad does he want it????????????????????

Good luck Gillett Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suprise,Suprise,Suprise

Thank You Dems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do my eyes see, but a 1.6 Billon , thats Billion budget
deficit. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

Diamond Jim told you through out the election that the budget
was balanced !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From the Milwaukee Journal, LINK

I dare you to read it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"State budget short $1.6 billion"
"Governor, legislators rule out tax increases to

close gap, but raising fees is a possibility"

What can this be ? As Gomer Pyle would say SHAZAMMM!!!!
Suprise , suprise ,suprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"State Administration Secretary Steve Bablitch said that Doyle
will live up to his campaign promise and make whatever choices are
necessary to control spending in a 2007-'09 budget. Doyle won't
raise general sales, individual income or corporate income taxes,
Bablitch said."

Did you notice he didn't say PROPERTY TAXES or any
other taxes he can raise starting next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First , licence fee increases , now we have a deficit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with people who say democrats are not intelligent enough
to know the issues,
know the candidates,
know what they pay in taxes,
know nothing about economics,
know nothing about nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, but I have many close family
who are in that same boat. It doesn't matter what happens ,
it's Bush's fault.

Wisconsin residents, remember the name of Barbara Lawton!!!!!
I bet most dems in Wisconsin don't even know who she is !!!!!!!!!

You people who voted for Diamond Jim , don't complain when
gas taxes, hunting fee's, licence fee's, property taxes, sales taxes
and any other fee's in Wisconsin go up ! You voted for him!!!!!!!

Oh by the way, wait till you loose your federal income taxes when
they go up in two years .

Again you people are ignorant , sorry IGNORANT!!!!!!

Hello Barbara Lawton, when????????????????????????

Back From Deer Hunting

Sorry ,I didn't post lately, hunting between Gillett and
Suring in the great up north.
No, I did not get my tags filled
but you have to understand how lucky we are to live in
northeastern Wis.
I have two great boys who hunted with me over the weekend.
The older one needs to get some sleep if he wants to hunt.!
Oh well their still young but I guess they
don't understand a day out in the woods.
The younger one has a good start , he seems to have a good
head on his shoulders, but he needs to know when it's time
to hunt early in the morning.
He chased one to me and with my old age and bad eye sight I
couldn't tell if it was a buck or a doe. Had to let it pass!
Again , we are thankful that the landowner lets us hunt and
I have two great sons to hunt with. I will certainly miss them
when they get older!

A Note to My Sister

Before the election my family and I had a lively discusion on
politics . We got into a discusion about phone bills. I seem to recall
that we all were trying to save 20 bucks here and 20 bucks there.
Dial up service for the internet compared to dsl service. My main
point was people worry abouta 20 dollar dial up and not about who
people vote for ( Higher Taxes) (Lower Taxes)

Well sis, since you are a state employee, will your union cover your
increase in driver fee's?

D O T anounces increase fee proposal.

Thanks to Owen at B & S and Milwaukee Journal, LINK

Car Registration fee's $55 to $80 dollars.

Light trucks up to 4500 lbs - fee's $48.50 to $80.00

Light trucks 45o1 to 6000 lbs - fee's $61.50 to $89.00

Light trucks 6001 to 8000lbs - fee's $77.50 to $112.00

Oh I almost forgot $24.00 to $34.00 on your drivers licence.

And Oh , I was just wondering why this report didn't come out
before the election like it was planned! And will you great people
that voted for Diamond Jim hold his feet to the fire?

"Doyle said during the campaign he would support raising the
car registration fee by about $10, but the DOT is asking for a
$25 hike.

Also WHY,
"The recommendations were due two months ago as part of the
agency's budget request, but the department waited until Friday
- three days after Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle was re-elected
- to submit them".

Remember, "Barbara Lawton"

The Right Thing to Do

What is the right thing to do after this past election?

I say that for several reasons, no matter what is done , no matter
what good intentions , it's never right! The truth is never reported

by the main stream media!

Example one :
I take for example "welfare reform". Back in 1994 a new congress
was elected. They said that welfare needed to be fixed. It was not a
popular idea at the time, but it was something that needed to be
fixed. No, it may not have been a compassionet stance to take
thousands off the welfare rolls but to give welfare to the people
that really needed it was the main goal! If you need welfare you

need to get a job or further your education to better yourself.
Sounds like a great plan, and you know what, it worked! The
republicans brought it up and President Clinton signed it into law .
From the media point of veiw it was Bills idea and he got alot of the
credit! If it was not for the republicans it would never became law
and all the people off of welfare would not be productive citizines
today. The demacarts are the party of the people but a lot of
democrats didn't vote for it. Who is called anti poverty by the
main stream media, republicans!

Example two ;
The cival Rights act of 1964 which was signed by President
Johnson, the republicans are always said to be agaist civil
rights , but back in 1964 more republicans voted for civil
rights than democrats. If it wasn't for republicans voting for it,

it would never have passed! The democrats didn't have
enough votes by themselves to pass it.

From - Diane Alden Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002 Link

"Remember that the Republicans were the minority party at
the time. None the less, H.R.7152 passed the House on Feb. 10, 1964.
Of the 420 members who voted, 290 supported the civil rights
bill and 130 opposed it. Republicans favored the bill 138 to 34;
Democrats supported it 152-96. Republicans supported it in
higher proportions than Democrats. Even though those Democrats
were Southern segregationists, without Republicans the bill
would have failed. Republicans were the other much-needed
leg of the Civil Rights Act of 1964."

Why are republicans bad for helping get passed the Cival Rights act.
Why did no one ( main stream media) hold the dems feet to the fire?
Why is history still not told to this very day? Because the main

stream media still says republicans are racist!

example three;

Here inWisconsin newlyl elected congressman Steve Kegan.
From Charlie Sykes Link
MONDAY, Oct. 23, 2006, 9:27 a.m.IF A GAFFE FALLS IN
THE WOODS

Take Kagen’s use of the word, “Injun,” as in: “Our excuse, uh, in
Oneida was, well we are on injun time. They don't tell time by
the clock. Our excuse here is I'm a doctor and we're never on time."

Fine he made a mistake but if a republican would of said it, it would
have been a blood bath . And what does the Native Americans
leaders say!

Foe the Milwaukee Journal Link

"Danforth and Washinawatok said there were many more
important issues to the tribes than the Kagen remark.
Washinawatok said Kagen had visited the Menominee
reservation many times and that she supports his candidacy.
Danforth said the Oneida tribe had taken no official position
on the congressional race."

Mainly the tribes said that because John Gard was fighting
agaist them on casino gambling in Madison, that they don't like him !
If Gard would of said that that they said they would be upset

and would of made sure John Gard would have been punished.
John Gard would have been racist! Steve Kegan OK , no big deal !

Example Four ; Hurican Katrina in 05

Right after Katrina hit, the media was camped out in New Orleans
at the Super Dome. Women were being raped , people were
commiting suicide, Murder was happening , all hell was breaking
loose! On the contrary, it wasn't really happening . The main stream
media made up those stories, and who is still the blame for Katrina,
George Bush !

Example Five; Jim Doyle , Wisconsin election 06

From Patrick McIlheran artical LINK

His artical starts out ;
In your heart, do you think Gov. Jim Doyle is honest?

If your answer is an unhesitating yes, move along.
There's a lot of news to read.
If you at least paused, it could just be
all those nasty TV ads, and there's a good chance you don't
trust Mark Green, either. He, too, is a politician, and other
nasty ads point out his sin: He is in the same Congress as
Mark Foley was and in the same party as Vice President
Dick Cheney, and he looks dorky talking in grainy slow motion.

The main point on all this, no matter what good things republicans
or conservitaves do , you never hear about it, you only hear they
are for big oil, they are corupt, they are racist , they are homophobs,
they are for the rich , etc , etc , etc by the media. The media never
reports when the Steve Kagens or Jim Doyles and others of the world

twist the truth, twist laws to there benifit or just plain lie about
conservatives.
I will say that republicans lost the last election. The voters got
shnookered and faked out big time with deceptive ads and just
sucked it up!

Now everyone in Washington is happy! The mass media is taking
credit for getting out of Iraq, the democrats took both houses and
the economy is good , they will solve the war and Iraq , it will be
said the dems can now walk on water . Hillary in 08!

From charlie Sykes
MONDAY, Dec. 4, 2006, 5:35 a.m.
IF IT WALKS LIKE A DUCK , LINK

In Wisconsin , now that Diamond Jim won the election, vehicle fee's
might go up 46 % , We need to tax chocolate chips ,we don't need to
tax Twix candy bars, elected officials in Madison get sick days for
being sick but only two have taken sick leave in years .

If the president on 08 is a democrat and the economy starts to go
south, it is George Bushs fault. If the economy is good it's because
a democrat was elected.

If we have pease in Iraq it will be because the dems got
elected in 06 and won the war!

Gasoline price high it's Bushs fault. Gasoline prices low
it's bushs fault , he 's trying to get elected again !

When it comes to the main stream media they will spew what
ever they want to paint conservatives or republicans as evil,
racists, homophobs , global warming , it's Bushs fault and on

and on!

I can only pray that the younger generation will take care
our great country after all the self absorbed ,canyass baby
boomers ( not all, but most) are gone. I give a lot of credit

to the World War Two Generation and all vets and people
in our military for preserving freedom . Most of the main
stream media are from the boomer generation and it
sure shows!

When taxes start going through the roof and people start
complaining, will the main stream media report it?
I doubt it , they will find some conservative and blame
them and most people will believe it!

I always believe in truth and honesty . I guess I am in the
minority. " We hold these truths to be self evident......"

People who watch the main stream media, remember ,
don't believe everything you see !

Also, main stream media , be carefull what you wish for ,
you may not like what you get.

God Bless the U.S.A.

What A Great Line

From Lance Burri blog , His opening paragraph says it all .

"I’m very grateful to the Democrats today. You wouldn’t
think that, but I am. See, I hadn’t been able to find my ass
for the past couple of weeks. And then the Dems came along
Tuesday and handed it right to me.
Thanks."

Veterans Day 2006

I would like to give thanks to all the Veterans for there
service for our country.

First I want to thank my uncles Ed, Roman and Ed , and my brother Jim
for serving our country. I may have missed some relatives or cousins
who served but I am sorry I did not remember their names. I am very
proud of what they have done to protect our freedom in this counrty.
They never really said much about their service but their courage and
beliefs is what makes this country so great. To all the men and women
that served , served and died , also to those that are now serving is
what keeps what we sometimes take for granted that much more valuable.

Yes , you have free speech,
Yes, you can turn away from our flag ,
Yes , you can burn the flag,
Yes , you may not believe in God!

6 : 30 p m (Had to update this part).
Yes, we can vote ,
Yes we are only married to one man and one woman,
Yes, in 45 states we have conceled carry (not in Wis),
Yes, we have the right to bear arms ,
Yes , we believe in God and This country,
and yes many more .

We have many freedoms we can take for granted or show respect
for, but that is the country all that served, fought and died for.

My youngest son has his heart set on going to the Air Force Acadamy,
how do I feel? I feel proud that his future is his and I can only be proud
of what ever or where ever his life may lead.

I did not serve for our country and will always regret not doing so.

For all that all of you have done , I just want to say THANK YOU!!!!!

P.S. Happy Birthday to the Marines , they are 231 years old.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank You 8 th Distict voters for Mr Kegan

Dear voters , I would like to thank you for voting for
Steve Kegan in the 8 th district in Wisconsin.

Mr Kegans son had a small problem at the airport in Appleton
and Mr Kegan doesn't even address the question .

From Fox 11 news in Green Bay. Link

Kagen's Son CitedNovember 9, 2006
The son of Congressman-elect Steve Kagen was cited
Wednesday for possession of drug paraphenalia.
Tommy Kagen, 21, received the $168 ticket at the
Outagamie County Regional Airport after security
screener found a marijuana pipe in his bags, according
to Sheriff's Capt. Mike Jobe. The incident happened at
about 5 pm. Kagen apparently was not with his son
when the citation was issued. Kagen issued a short
statement regarding the incident: "We're very
disappointed. It shows a lack of respect for the law and
our family," he told FOX 11. "When there's 650,000 dead
in Iraq, and a news editor thinks this belongs on television,
that's a sad commentary" on our news organizations.

From Charlie Sykes at WTMJ in Milwaukee. Link

FRIDAY, Nov. 10, 2006, 9:05 a.m.KAGEN: SAY WHAT?
Newly elected Congressman Steve Kagen
reacts to his son's drug paraphenalia bust by saying:
We're very disappointed. It shows a lack of respect for
the law and our family," he told FOX 11. "When there's
650,000 dead in Iraq, and a news editor thinks this
belongs on television, that's a sad commentary" on our
news organizations. Maybe he's getting PR tips from Gwen Moore.

Let me say what his son did is not important. First the media
helped him get elected by giving him a pass on all important
issues and now he's upset with them!.
What is important is that Mr Kegan was elected Tuesday and
he must address questions when asked , second there are not
650,000 dead in Iraq, all life is important but even Iraq puts
the number at 45,000 ( wheres the other 600,00),
he must of drank the Kool Aid .
"Mr Kegan", if I ask you about income tax relief will you tell
me I not smart enough to know about taxes and get lost?

Libs , remember don't always wish for things, you may not like
what you see , check your wallets and purse, you will have to get
along with less cash in your pocket in the future.

You Libs ,he's all yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Town Meeting Last Night

It amazes me how small goverment works.
Last night our township meet with a special meeting
concerning special funding for two updated water trucks
for our fire department and money for road repair for 2007 .
First I would like to say we have good people working for our
residents ( our chairamn and board members ) and good
people in our volunteer fire department .

Both proposals passed but I guess with the after thoughts
about tuesday's election I can see most people do not care
about goverment , Taxes , and or quality of life issues.
There were 5 of 6 members of our towns elected officials
present at the meeting , eight members from the fire department
( they needed the updated fire equipment ) and Drumroll please,
DADADADADADADADADADADADADADADADASDADADADA
DADADADADADADADADADADADADADADADADADADADAD

Two, thats right two residents representing all the people of Underhill!
Yes , the people from the fire department are residents but to me
they were there to get better equipment which they deserve !
Myself and one other gentleman from the whole town .
People should not b_ _ ch when their taxes go up, or complain when
they don't get good services from their local goverment !!!!!!!!!!!

Thank God we have people that care about them( Town Board members)
that are making good decisions for them.

People are correct when they say being conservative is difficult,
you get blamed for the poor , blamed for wars , blamed for not
having compassion (Katria), blamed for coruption in goverment
( even if the libs are corrupt also) , blamed for the bad economy
( 4.4 unemployment, high stock market- did you make money on
your 401 K), blamed for everything that you stand for!!!!!!

But if your a lib you don't have to make any tough decisions ,
just have compassion for everyone , blame Bush , it's Iraq.
To be a lib is the most GUTLESS position to have . Stand for everything
and do nothing about it!!!

I guess I was wrong , I guess people only care about goverment
when it hits their pocket books !!!!!!!!

It's your money people , wake up !!!!!!!

Thank God again we have good people in our local goverment !!!!!!
