Well, here is a follow up from the Green Bay Press.
"DNR: Brown County air clean enough in '08
Doyle likely to ask for removal from EPA's violators list

Brown County could be close to regaining its air quality compliance status from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The 2008 data on air quality has shown a significant improvement, which should lead to a recommendation by Gov. Jim Doyle that the county be removed from a negative designation on the federal government's grading on soot standards, a Department of Natural Resources official said.

"We just finished our quality assurance process for 2008, and Brown County did not violate the standards," said Al Shea, the DNR's air and waste management division administrator. "I'm very confident we will continue to see improved air quality in Brown County and the whole state."

Does anyone think Diamond Jim Doyle will ask for a removal from the EPA violation for Brown County? Doyle will say he will look into it but then the Obama administration will delay it long enough to keep restrictions on Brown County.

How else can they shut down the coal burning power plant and shut down the paper mills in Green Bay because of pollution! They have to keep the restrictions on and squeeze the life out of power and jobs.

Will never happen and the people of the area will pay dearly in electric price increases and job loses.

Wait and see! Obama and Doyle need to teach businesses and power companies a lesson. They want windmills on the Bay of Green Bay.

Hope you Doyle and Obama voters will be happy.

Doyle will probably ask for it, but he'll get rejected. In fact, he asked that the southeast Wisconsin counties and Dane County get exempted on the basis that they will be in compliance when the new rules go into effect (and indeed, all but Milwaukee and Dane Counties are already in compliance), but got flatly rejected under the Bush EPA.
