Suppose you share an apartment / house with a few other people. You like to party and don’t mind sharing your stash of weed with the other people you live with so long as you all partake together. Everything is groovy.
Over time you start to notice that you’re the only one really contributing to the merriment. Sure, your roommates kick in a few bucks occasionally, but you’re the one paying the most and taking all the risks by going out and scoring the weed. Naturally, you start being a little more selective about when to break out Mr. Bubbles because there’s only so much you can afford to give away without any significant return for your generosity."
