Oconto County resident sues Holperin over flight to Illinois - The Lakeland Times - Minocqua, WI:
"An Oconto County resident has sued state Sen. Jim Holperin (D-Conover) over his flight to Illinois to avoid a vote on Gov. Scott Walker's budget-repair bill, asking an Oconto County circuit judge to compel the senator's return through a court order.
Kevin Barthel of Lakewood filed his petition Tuesday. He is seeking a writ of mandamus to force Holperin to attend daily sessions of the state Senate. Under Wisconsin law, a writ of mandamus may be used to compel a public officer to perform a duty which he or she is legally bound to perform."
