Harley Davidson /Jim Doyle, Always Strings Attatched

Seems Diamond Jim Doyle had strings attached to the tax credits.

From JSOnline.

Harley-Davidson Inc. has turned down the state's offer of up to $25 million in tax credits aimed at keeping manufacturing jobs in Wisconsin, saying the incentives carried requirements that might not give the company flexibility to reduce employment in Milwaukee and Tomahawk.

The tax credits, announced in September by Gov. Jim Doyle, were offered four days after Harley workers ratified seven-year labor contracts that included a wage freeze and job losses but kept the company from pulling its manufacturing out of the state.

Harley know they will have better tax breaks when Walker gets into office. Wonder what Doyle thought when H D told him to

STICK IT! HUH!
