Bill to raise cost by $8 per barrel, 3 cents per 12 ounce bottle; Berceau's proposition first hike since 1969

For the first time since 1969, the Wisconsin State Legislature is contemplating raising the state's beer tax.

The bill, authored by Rep. Terese Berceau, D-Madison, would increase the beer tax from $2 to $10 per barrel, resulting in an increase in price of less than three cents per 12-ounce bottle of beer. " MacIver Institute
From $2.00 to $10.00 a barrel. Why not $20.00 a barrel, how about $30.00 a barrel. Let's just ban beer and alcohol? Sam Adams and the tea party people need shove a Miller Chill at Old Milwaukee democrats and nip this before it get's out of hand. It will be interested if it does pass, who in the republican party will vote for this. Remember the dems don't need their votes to pass this. They can do it all by them selves.
