Not One Cent

From the Shawano Leader.
"Menominee Tribe breaks ground on long-awaited transit facility
By Ellen Hickok-Wall, Leader Correspondent

KESHENA — Groundbreaking ceremonies were held Wednesday for a $5 million center to house the Menominee Regional Public Transit Department.

Not one cent of the money will come from tribal funds, said Laurie Boivin, Menominee Tribal Legislature vice chairwoman.

“More than half of the $5 million project is funded through stimulus dollars,” Boivin said.

The rest, she said, was obtained through federal grants and a small portion through Bureau of Indian Affairs funds."

Thank You
Congressman Kagen.
