I thought I would post this since it seems Dr. K., our Wisconsin's 8th District Congressman might be under a microscope in the future. Got to see our man in Green Bay. This is the long version of my day with our good Doctor.

Host Richard Parins - Good guy asks a lot of tough questions. Is passionate about taxpayers money.
Wow everybody, I got to see Dr K , what a guy, ahhhhhhh, I'll leave it at that! My first impression, he looked like another ultra lib, Robert Redford, and I wasn't even drinking! I took some written notes. A friend of mine was right, I need to get a digital recorder. To be accurate with this politition will be difficult. Need to catch him on tape. I will be up front with all of you. Going to these kind of functions is new to me and I am in a learning curve on active politics. Had the chance to ask some questions a good friend helped me with. I submitted two and got them asked.
1) Should all earmarks be given transparency by identifying the earmark sponsored and do you support minority leader John Boehner's reform measures, House Resolution 479 and HR 559.
His quote, "Definitely", I ran by standing by your pork" to first part. Yep. that's what he said. Named earmarks he has brought into northeastern Wis,. Second part never answered. I understand earmarks, but this guy is really in campaign mode. Taking credit for what he brought in and what he wants to spend in the future. He says he want to turn U S 41 into an interstate. Wants to have a V A hospital built in Green Bay.
2) Concerning your proposal " No Discrimination in Health Care legislation ( HR 5449) - One piece of your legislation would require health care providers to post their prices. You have said that prices in your family's Allergy clinics aren't posted because current law won't allow it. Could you please tell us what current law you are speaking of ?
During his opening remarks he spent 5 minutes on this. Doctors and clinics should post prices. Thought I had him on this one! When the question was asked he said, he doesn't own his clinics, sold them and pretty much question was dropped. Questioner made comment well you don't own them so we don't need an answer. I should of pushed him on what law is on the books! His big thing is to push "purchasing pools".
Other questions that were asked. Paraphrasing some questions and answers.
Hobart, what will you do to stop land being taken off tax rolls by Native American tribes? Hurting tax base to towns and villages.
Answer, It's a state and federal solution. The fed should make townships that loose tax base whole again. Didn't answer the question except we taxpayers should pay for it. You people in Hobart, he's leaving you HIGH and DRY! In his mind he probably said " you SUCKERS" Rolled right into paper mill in Niagrara loosing jobs and the company is responsible for displaced workers when plants shut down. Throw it on the business, It's big businesses fault.
Fisa law., "it's a SMOKESCREEN, we are secure in this country"! He said it again, "it's a SMOKESCREEN!" What the heck is he talking about. Someone should be able to run with this one! We can now say Steve Kagen is on record as saying we are all safe and there is nothing to worry about as far as a terrorist threat. Wants the courts to rule on who should be listened to before we ease drop on some terrorist. Mr. Kagen also said, " cell phones are being tracked now!" Wow, what does he know that us average people don't know. Steve , how do you know this?
Question brought up about Pension Benefit System. Senator Bird's wife when he dies will get all his federal benefits from the federal government. Is that right. Other people don't have those kind of benefits.
Are you ready for the answer, Sit down, get ready for this one, and I quote Steve, "I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT." Holy cow Batman, what did we send him to Washington for?
Steve's comment, the 110 th congress is a "pay as you go" congress, we don't pass any bills if we don't have the money. The only thing congress passed that wasn't a pay as you go was the ATM fix. What? Is his congress a pay as you go congress? Can someone clarify his double speak?
Some general comments and, promises, campaign pledges, what ever you want to call them from my good buddy Steve.
V.A. hospital in Green Bay. - wants the vets vote.
3% tax deduction on health care. - wants the elderly vote.
3% deduction on property taxes.- wants everyone's vote.
Wants purchasing pools in health care.- going for the uninsured vote
Wants government controls on prescription drugs.- going for the elderly vote again.
Doesn't like WTO. - doesn't like business and likes union votes.
Wants lawyers to sue China - wants lawyer pac money or just cash donations from trial lawyers.
Dr K did say he is "All in favor of campaign finance reform" - doesn't say what kind but is a good sound bite. I guess we might find out what kind he will now be in favor of. What will save his behind? Family campaign donations can sometimes get you in a jam if they are not on the up and up, we shall see.
Wants to protect higher paid employees - I think he meant teacher union jobs, you little non union folks can take a hike.
Said everyone's purchasing power is down - say what, good sound bite.

P. S. Thinking back on my experience, I wondering if I should next time introduce myself to Mr. Kagen and his assistant ( I think his name was Jake). " Pleasure to meet you Mr. Kagen, I'm Paul , I have a Blog called "Berry Laker" and I also comment on "WTH" blog site.

PSSST, Don't Tell Anyone
As I travel the this great state I am always looking for gasoline stations that sell real gasoline with no ETHANOL in it. So far in northeastern Wisconsin I have found three stations without the crap in it!
No Ethanol Gas Stations
Mobil - Taylor / Shawano Ave
Citgo - Hwy 41 / HWY B Suamico
B P - Hwy 45 Summit Lake
I always make it a point to thank the owner or tell the attendent to thank the owner of the station for having real gasoline.
Here is a dirty little secret that I should take to the Wisconsin Consumer Protection.
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, they don't want anyone to know. Gasoline stations that sell gasoline with ethanol get a .10 reduced cost for the blended gasoline.
That means they are price gouging customers! They are charging the same price for 10% blended as for regular no ethanol gasoline. Wouldn't this also be a part of price fixing?
If the market is set for regular non blended gasoline and they are getting a .10 discount then they should be charging .10 less than stations that charge for real gasoline. Where is our A G on this?

WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) -- A new study by a
group trying to save energy concludes that up to 300 schools in Wisconsin could switch to wood heat and save hundreds of thousands of dollars in energy costs.
The study, financed by Focus on Energy, found the change - based on current natural gas prices - would save schools up to $75,000 each year, paying for the investments perhaps within five years.
I'm sorry, isn’t burning wood destroying our planet? Don't you increase carbon dioxide into the atmosphere?
Wisconsin has 16.1 million acres of forests, covering 46 percent of the state's
land area, the study said.
How do we cut down these trees if Diamond Jim keeps putting more land into state owned land every budget? Will he release some of it to heat schools? Don't think so unless he is getting his pocket greased!
There are many questions. Only one answer, follow the money!
Let's see, first who owns the trees, oh yea, the state will pay premium price for the wood! Cha ching! Second, who will cut down the trees? Cha ching, lumber companies! Second who will haul the wood? Cha ching, trucking companies! Oh lets not forget the company that manufactures the boilers! Cha ching! Oh wait someone has to install them, cha ching, heating contractors!
Now if they use wood pellets, the pellet manufacturer, cha ching! Now you have the company that sells the pellets, cha ching! Now we have to have someone fill the boilers at the school, can we say more union people, cha ching! Hang on, we will need two to three people to keep it stoked 24/7! Oh my, where will it end?
Now , I am not against the free market system. If these guys make money (profits) so be it. What I am P O'd about is that all the money will be piad by tax dollors. Can we say the $300.00 gov. hammer. How about the $1000.00 gov. toliet seat. Hummmmmm, ethanol plants anyone. Can we say higher food prices from higher corn prices? Someone will make money, but because it will be someone else's money ( TAXPAYERS), the cost for all facets of this will go sky high. And the taxpayer will keep paying and paying and paying!
How big of a wood boiler will it take to heat a school?
What about Geo Thermal. It heats and cools! Paul you dumb a_ _, thats not going to make them rich!
What do we do when we run out of trees? What do we do when the environment is being destroyed?
This seems like the boilermakers are taking a page from the ethanol corn pimps selling us out on gasoline? A whore, is a whore, is a whore! They always will take the money!

Now, where in the hell is this money coming from? We got gasoline heading to four bucks a gallon; it's already there in some places. We have people who can't pay their mortgages and are being foreclosed on. We got people now can't afford food because of biofuels and the cost of wheat and the cost of corn. How in the world are people giving $70 million in one month to two Democrats? Where is this money coming from and how come these Democrats out there raising all this money aren't saying, "Don't give the money to me! Keep it for yourself because we're in a recession and you're going to need it to buy gasoline and food, and you're going to need it to pay your mortgage." Why aren't they saying that? They're begging people for their money, in the midst of all this malaise, supposedly. But I still want to know where it's coming from, because they say it's being raised on the Internet.
This is awfully curious to me. You mean to tell me that in the midst of what people think is a failing economy, that they're still running out to give money to Hillary and Barack? Well, they may be. You might have the janitors or the dishwashers in Chinatown. They might be flourishing. That's my point. Where is this coming from?

If Lori Waldon is remembered for just one thing as news director at WISN-TV (Channel 12), it will be for the biggest coup in Milwaukee TV history: bringing Mike Gousha to the ABC affiliate.
The 46-year-old Waldon has been at the helm of Channel 12's news operation for a little more than a year, and that tenure could run a long, long time. She already has broken a major barrier, becoming the first person of color to lead a Milwaukee TV newsroom.

Berry Laker's White Deer
Location, Hwy 51 west , just east of Bay road, a half mile east of CTH W in Manitowish Waters.
As I was traveling to Hurley this morning, a truck slowed down for some deer crossing the road. In front of the right side of the truck I could see two brown deer running from left to right. As the truck moved on I turned to the right to see the deer. The Lord must of been with me. Right there , three white tail deer, two brown and one completely white, white tail deer, What an awesome sight.
The locals all said they have a few around that area. One person said there must be a buck with stamina and is producing several white deer. He said the white herd is growing. I don't know if it was an albino or not. I did not see pink eyes. What ever the case, if you havent seen one in the wild, your missing something spectacular. I could not believe what I was seeing. Most people will never see such a sight.
If I only had my camera. Well it looked like the one above but no horns. The above picture is from google search. The dumb ass I am , I certainly will take a camera with me next time.
Oh crap, I just thought of it, I had a camera on my cell phone! O K , I'm an idiot. The moment was just too much.

Neighbor could face charge after cattle wandered to his farm
PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. (AP) -- Three months after nearly a dozen cattle wandered off a Crawford County farm, a district attorney is considering a theft charge against a neighbor.
A rural Wauzeka man allegedly cut off the ear tags
of 11 cows and heifers that wandered to his farm and failed to return the animals to owner Larry Stluka, according to sheriff's officials.
Moran said even though the neighbor didn't take the cattle off the property, what he did is still theft.
Stluka said the accused thief has been a "good neighbor" otherwise.
"Naturally, you hold it against him, but I still like the guy, " he said.
He wasn't stealing, just borrowing! When are we going to hold people responsable and call it the way it is.

Sheboygan man arrested after wearing stolen jacket to police station

An 18-year-old man has been charged with stealing clothing from a department store after police said he showed up for questioning wearing a jacket taken months earlier.Felipe M. Medina, of Sheboygan, was charged Thursday with a misdemeanor count of retail theft.The criminal complaint said Medina took a pair of blue jeans, a black T-shirt and a black jacket from a Kohl’s store on Nov. 27 in Sheboygan. Police Capt. James Veeser identified Medina as the suspect after viewing the store surveillance tape.A detective asked Medina to come to the police station Wednesday. He admitted in a police interview that he took the clothes and was currently wearing the stolen jacket, the complaint said.He faces up to nine months in jail if convicted.

APPLETON — An apparently intoxicated
man chose the wrong building to relieve himself in front of Friday afternoon and ended up in jail.
Front desk staff at the Appleton Police Department called for an officer shortly after 4 p.m. Friday when a 40-year-old man began urinating in a snowbank in front of the police station, 222 S. Walnut St.
The man was issued a citation for public
urination. Since he was on probation, he was placed in jail for violating his probation.The man, who tested more than four times the legal limit when given a preliminary breath test, told police that “he had two beers. I figure they had to be pretty big beers,” Lt. Pat Matuszewski said.

DETROIT (Reuters) - General Motors Corp Vice Chairman Bob Lutz has defended remarks he made dismissing global warming as a "total crock of s---," saying his views had no bearing on GM's commitment to build environmentally friendly vehicles.

As part of a campaign against higher fuel economy standards, Lutz wrote in a 2006 blog posting that forcing automakers to sell smaller cars would be "like trying to address the obesity problem in this country by forcing clothing manufacturers to sell smaller, tighter sizes."

Women either love him or hate him, but they know he’s a man, not a dishrag. If they’re looking for someone to walk all over, they’ve got the wrong guy. He stands up straight, opens doors for women and says “Yes, sir” and “No, ma’am.”He might be a Republican and he might be a Democrat; he might be a Libertarian or a Green. He knows that his wife is more emotional than rational, and he guides the
family in a rational manner.
He’s not a racist, but he is annoyed and disappointed when people of certain backgrounds exhibit behavior that typifies the worst stereotypes of their race. He’s willing to give everybody a fair chance if they work hard, play by the rules and learn English.
Most important, the Angry White Man is pissed off. When his job site becomes flooded with illegal workers who don’t pay taxes and his wages drop like a stone, he gets righteously angry. When his job gets shipped overseas, and he has to speak to some incomprehensible idiot in India for tech support, he simmers. When Al Sharpton comes on TV, leading some rally for reparations for slavery or some such nonsense, he bites his tongue and he remembers. When a child gets charged with carrying a concealed weapon for mistakenly bringing a
penknife to school, he takes note of who the local idiots are in education and law enforcement.
He also votes, and the Angry White Man loathes Hillary Clinton. Her voice reminds him of a shovel scraping a rock. He recoils at the mere sight of her on television. Her very image disgusts him, and he cannot fathom why anyone would want her as their leader. It’s not that she is a woman. It’s that she is who she is. It’s the liberal victim groups she panders to, the “poor me” attitude that she represents, her inability to give a straight answer to an honest question, his tax dollars that she wants to give to people who refuse to do anything for
themselves.
There are many millions of Angry White Men. Four million Angry White Men are members of the National Rifle Association, and all of them will vote against Hillary Clinton, just as the great majority of them voted for George Bush.
He hopes that she will be the Democratic nominee for president in 2008, and he will make sure that she gets beaten like a drum.

FYI: I received a call from ......... .......... today that their home and garage were broken into within the last two weeks. Apparently they took a DVD player and change that was in the cottage. If you're up at the lake, please be aware of any unusual activity and report all to the Oconto County Sheriff's Department.
This seems to be a growing problem on our lake. We all need to start being more vigalant and catch who ever has been pulling this CRAP. It costs everyone time, money and heartache.
I wonder if people do the little things to stop crime. How many people have dusk to dawn lights on there property? How many install sensor lights on their property? It may cost some extra money to install but it might help. If it stops one break in , that's one less people have to deal with.

We used to have a calling procedure on the lake. If there was a break in, residents would go down the line to make sure everyone knew what happened. Each full time resident would contact their neighbor and that neighbor would contact the next. All the way around the lake. Seems that has gone by the wayside. It would be nice if someone would take charge and get it back in service! Maybe the lake association could take charge. Who knows?
I don't have all the answers but we always have to be vigilant to crime.

Appleton woman, 50, dies in crash on U.S. 41

LITTLE CHUTE — A 50-year-old Appleton woman died this afternoon after her car went out of control on U.S. 41 and was struck broadside by a truck.
The woman was taken to Appleton Medical Center after the crash about 1:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes near Holland Road.The State Patrol said
it would not release her name for 24 hours.State Patrol Lt. Nick Scorcio said the crash occurred after the woman’s left rear tire went flat. She lost control
of the car and it crossed into the left lane, where it was struck in the driver’s door by a southbound truck. The truck driver was not injured. Scorcio said the truck driver was wearing a seat belt, but the woman who died was not wearing one.Road and weather conditions were not a factor in the crash, Scorcio said.Outagamie County Coroner Ruth Wulgaert said an autopsy would be scheduled for Wednesday. Southbound lanes of the highway were closed for more than two hours but reopened about 3:40 p.m., officials said.Troopers from the State Patrol are reconstructing the crash.

Russia said Saturday that U.S. military plans to shoot down a damaged spy satellite may be a veiled test of America's missile defense system.
The Pentagon failed to provide "enough arguments" to back its plan to smash the satellite next week with a missile, Russia's Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"There is an impression that the United States is trying to use the accident with its satellite to test its national anti-missile defense system's capability to destroy other countries' satellites," the ministry said.
If it works it sure would put a scare into the ruskies!

Maryland Dem total votes 777,675
..................Rep Total votes 292,217
Virgina Dem vote total 980,382
.................Rep vote total 487,854
Wash D C Dem vote totals 113,746
.......................Rep vote totals , 5801.
For God's sake, we have a republican President and we can only get 5801 votes? What the heck?
Total three states Dem 1,871,803
....................................Rep 785,872
Can someone help me on this?
There were 1,085,931 more democratic votes then republicans.
Why is that? This was only in three states. What is going to happen in November? What chance in heck would a right-winger ever have? The answer is if we had a true conservative it would be a world of difference! Conservatism whenever it is tried always wins!

As I was looking up our fine library cash grab I went to the guts of the bill.
This one bill has 352 amendments, HOLY COW Cape Crusader!
In the hundreds of the 352 amendments it only says,
This is what I would guess are earmarks slid into the bill in the dead of night! I'm not sure, but it will give me someting to look into.
If they are wasteful earmarks,
We need to take our Country back!

IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED: Ask Farm Bill Conferees to Keep Libraries in Rural Telecommunications Section of H.R. 2419

This is in the farm bill, what is this? A farm bill is for FARMERS not LIBRARIES!
First, I know alot of farmers and they all have computer access, what the heck is someone trying to load into this bill? Are we now going to give rural america free broad band networking? How many farmers go to the libraries any more? We used to having hitching posts for horses. Now we will have to have larger parking spaces for giant tractors. We have three libraries with in 10 miles of us and that is two two many. What the heck are our taxes paying for?Farm, Nutrition, and Bioenergy Act of 2007 H.R. 2419), Section 6302, to include “libraries” in the rural telecommunications program:
Background Amendments in the Senate version of the Farm, Nutrition, and Bioenergy Act of 2007 (H.R. 2419) add libraries serving rural communities into Section 6302: Telemedicine, Library Connectivity, and Distance Learning Services in Rural Areas. This amendment acknowledges and would support the important role
that public libraries play in providing rural areas access to broadband services, leveling the playing field for rural residents. It also promotes partnerships with other participants in this existing program - such as community colleges and K-12 schools.

Americans For Prosperity
Saturday I attended the AFP "Americans For Prosperity" Summit in Waukesha.
If you don't know about AFP you will soon.
Just wanted to make some comments about attending my first conservative event. Yes it took me 50 years to finally get involved in politics. The order of my comments is the way I seen and wrote about my day. It was one GREAT day. If I leave anyone out I apologize. The 400 plus people there was just too good to be true. An old dog from Gillett hanging with some of the GREATEST minds of our time and from our GREAT state of Wisconsin. I couldn't of felt more at home than with all those great people, all with great conservative ideas and values.
These are only random thoughts; don't get in a tizzy over this!
Oh Well, enough of my rambling, Let's go!
But I do have to say, IT WAS AWSOME!
Opening Ray Charles, Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem. Short clip Of Ronald Reagan. Brought a lump in the throat to hear his voice and to see my hero on the big screen. Really moving. How can anyone say Reagan Revolution is over. Hog Wash!
Mark Block - What an honor to have him work so hard for the people of Wisconsin through AFP. Need to follow through and build membership. It's worth it! "Keep us growing Mark!"
Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity - What a job he and his group has done. It's a grass roots effort. We need to grow! If you hate earmarks, AFP is the place!
James Klauser - I guess Tommy Thompson’s right hand man in years gone by. Introduces,
J.B. Van Hollen - Kept thinking of Mark Belling saying, empty suit, empty suit, empty suit!
Steve Moore Wall Street Journal editor. Kept thinking of Rush saying the Wall Street Journal is for Illegal immigration!
Mike Gableman - Yea, we need to get him elected. Send campaign money. Not much, but every little bit helps
Steve Lonegan - It goes to show what you can do after people tell you can't. Great guy. Hope he keeps pressure on Jon Corzine! Steve, get him replaced.
David Clark - I will vote for him when I get the chance. Even being a dem. What a GREAT guy. Dem in name only. Hey we have RINO's and DINO's. We need more David Clark's! Want's to pass Pay Check Protection Act.
Dan Schnur - Too much focus on the November election. Wasn't sure if he was going to tell me to vote for Johnny Mac! He did not use Mc Cains name but came awfully close! Not my cup of tea.
Dinesh D'Souza - What a great conservative. Talked about Renaldus Magnus. Ronald Reagan did what he believed. I don't understand all those east coast republicans. We cannot let go of our beliefs. We need to start another party. Sorry let me get back on track. I get too emotional thinking about Ronald Reagan. Great speaker. Buy his book.
Paul Ryan 1st District of Wisconsin - Received Ronald Reagan Award from AFP. Crowd yelled out Paul Ryan for Governor, Paul Ryan for VP. I could vote anytime for Paul Ryan. He is standing up for the people of his district. Federal taxes for our children will go from 18% now to 40% in 20 years! That’s .40 on every dollar. That’s not even state or local taxes.
Scott Walker - Can't wait till he runs for Gov. We need conservative Wisconsin assembly and senate when he's gov. Wow, can't wait. Send him campaign cash. Even a little bit will help. No I can't afford it but even a couple bucks means something!
Leah Vukmir - Wow, she needs to be Gov and when she is, Leah will be one of our greatest politicians of Wisconsin. I bet she tells it like it is in Madison. I wish I could be a fly on the wall. She seems like she could p_ _ _ those libs off. Leah, go for it, we're with you! Send any money for campaign.
Vicki McKenna - We need more people like Vicki. WISN, you made the right move bringing her to Milwaukee. Vicky, you need to go statewide.
A couple of side comments. The theme was non-partisan; the theme was Ronald Reagan, Ronald Reagan, Ronald Reagan. How can McCain even be brought up in the same sentence with Ronald Reagan. Less government not more. Less taxes not more, Let the people of this great country enjoy prosperity. It's the American Dream.
Afternoon breakout meeting
First, New Media vs Old Media. Was walking in and introduced myself to Jo Egelhoff. Wow, what an honor and pleasure to meet one of the heavy hitters of the Wisconsin blogs. What a great and knowledgeable person. Ran part of the breakout.
Seen Patrick McIlheran from the Journal Sentinel. Good guy, Does great work. Wondered after seeing him live if that was his brother on his home blog page? I should e mail and ask him.
Leslie Graves - gave some good points on starting a blog.
Kyle Duerstien - UWM -Great ideas on what you can do with a blog. Sorry Kyle , I don't have that much time. You sure do GREAT work!
Second Breakout- "the AFP Voice, how to make yours heard. Mark Block opened meeting - again great guy, need to grow AFP numbers.
Brian Schimming - director of Madison news talk station. I think WIBC. Mark Honadel (state Rep) Dan Vrakas (Waukeha County Ex) Ted Kanauas ( State Senater)
Need to call talk radio, need to keep in touch with all your elected officials. No matter good or bad, contact them.
Waiting for supper, a diet 7 up and introduced myself to Owen Robinson of Boots and Sabers .One of our Icons on the Wisconsin Blogs. Owen and Jed have done so much for a lot of bloggers in the state. Oh yes, there are a lot of GREAT blogs out there. I wish I could meet all you out there on the cheddar sphere. Not enough time. Asked him why he doesn't run for office, I said he'd be GREAT. He said he didn't want to take a pay cut. Yea I guess so but Owen sure is a straight shooter. I may not agree all the time (Cowboys) but have a lot of respect. Great guy.
Looked out the window, snow flying like mad and decided to get on the road, wished I would of stayed for the end. Jim Sensenbrenner would have been worth the wait. As it was, it was hell driving home, glad I left. Maybe someday I can attend a Drinking Right party. Not sure if I can get an invitation.

Gillett, Great News

Does anyone notice what town is missing from the above list of cities near Michigan? The city I am thinking of is 4.3 miles from Iron Mountain Mi. and 4.3 miles from Kingsford Mi.
Can the Press Gazette say Niagara Wisconsin. I would say not. The Mill in Niagra is shutting down, and Wausaukee Composites cannot find the labor pool to fill the jobs.

Wausaukee Composites expands to Cuba City
Company expects to add 70 employees at 3 Wisconsin plants

WAUSAUKEE — Wausaukee Composites will begin production of parts for wind
turbines at a new plant in Cuba City next week. The Marinette County composite plastic and fiberglass components manufacturer is building wind turbine A nacelle housings for two wind turbine generator manufacturers.
A nacelle is a protective covering on a generator. The company said the two contracts are expected to generate more than $35 million in sales over three years.
Production workers can apply at the plants in Wausaukee or Gillett, or at Nicolet Staffing in Iron Mountain, Manpower in Menominee or ABR Employment Services in Green Bay. Professional workers are being hired through the corporate headquarters at the Wausaukee plant.
The company has pretty much depleted the labor pool in Wausaukee and is
drawing workers from Green Bay and Marinette in Wisconsin and Iron Mountain,
Kingsford and Escanaba in Michigan, he said.

What A Week
The drive from Waukesha was just lovely tonight!Sorry all, I was in Milwaukee Thursday and Friday for a company meeting and Saturday for the AFP Summit. For all you new readers, I have no Internet access when I'm away from home.
That is the reason for being AWOL from the blog. I know you all missed me! Ha, Ha, that was a joke. More on the AFP summit later, you certainly missed history in the making.
Driving home tonight was a white-knuckle drive. Eight cars stuck in the ditch and two rollovers on 47 between Appleton and Black Creek. It was one of those nights driving home when it seemed like a bunch of Steve Kagen’s driving Hwy 41 and 47. Crossed into the 8th district and all hell broke loose. To the left, to the middle left, right of center, left of center, come on, make up your mind already. Tell me, what are you going to do? Come on, go a little faster! Seemed like Kagens campaign, all over the map! Hey make a decision, move over or go faster. Oh well, what a night.

This Guy’s Belief
This caught my eye. What can I say?
This is something I wrote last weekend which ties into the above. It may not be professional, the i's might not be doted and the t's might not be crossed, but it is how I think and what I believe! This was some thoughts I had after listening to Milwaukee talk radio Friday morning. I was going to E mail it but changed my mind. Tonight on fat Tuesday, I thought I would post it. I thought some day my family would be able to read how their father, their husband and their grandfather thought back in 2008.
I am writing to answer some comments from a radio show I was listening to on Friday Feb. 1, 2008. I heard my comment on the air "we had to have Jimmy Carter to get Ronald Reagan". I first feel the host is a high profile, very important person to the people of Milwaukee and to most of Wisconsin. The radio host surely has very key connections to the power brokers of Wisconsin and Washington. He has worked very hard to get to where he is in today’s world. People look up to him for his comments and opinions. He is one of a few icons in the state of Wisconsin. Again, he is very important to me and the people of Wisconsin.
I appreciate his thoughts but have to answer him when he asked his listeners to "don't step off the ledge with John Mc Cain". Yes, it is a very difficult time during this election cycle. We, yes I will say conservatives have our strong beliefs. If John Mc Cain may be better for the war on terror, that is fine, I accept people's opinion. I don't know if I speak for any other conservatives, but my beliefs are that John McCain is not a conservative. I do not want to bore you with my reasons, sorry (band of 14, amnesty for illegal, McCain Fiengold just to name a few).
He asked some of his callers if they could vote like Ann Coulter, for Hillary. Yes, he was putting others and me on the spot. No, I don't think I would vote for Hillary, but I know what Hillary is. It may be bad, but what you see is what you get. We may not like what she will do, but we know it will happen. Socialized medicine, tax increases, on and on. Again, we know what we will get. If something bad will happen, tax increases , tax increases, tax increases, at least the MSM will not blame conservitives. There is no guessing. I don't want more goverment. I want less goverment.
My beliefs tell me, John McCain is not the man. John Mc Cain will tell me, “I will give you a tax cut and give me a tax increase. He will say he will put in a Sam Alito and then nominate a Ruth Ginsburg! Concerning our troops that are now serving and those that have died for our freedom. We are all proud of the troops. Will Hillary pull the troops, not likely right away? Whether she does or doesn’t, the media will play it up as a victory no matter what.
John Mc Cain it will be said "he surrendered" to the MSM. If another 911 happens, (no I do not want another 911), no matter who is in office, the wrath of God and the United States will come down on who ever would try to break this GREAT country. Concerning respect for our troops, they were spat on after the Vietnam War. No matter who is in office the left will spit on them again and again. I do not like the left on how they treat the people that protect their freedom. Again our troops do not get the respect they deserve. We appreciate what our soldiers do for us, it will never change. They are the ones that will not hold their nose when shooting a terrorist. They will not think twice about protecting our freedoms. They believe in the oath and they uphold our freedom.
People ask us, "think about what you are doing ". "Is that what you want?" "Would you really vote for Hillary?" "Calm down, your on the ledge, let me talk you off the ledge!"
We are on a ledge! A ledge of our beliefs. We conservatives have our beliefs!

If someone's son was in school and his buddy told him to pass out the answers to that days exam and he said no, that would be cheeting! Should he do it because his buddy said he would get an A on the exam? Should he do what is right? Should he hold his nose, cheat the system and pass out the answers so his dad would be very proud of him when he can see an A on his report card? If someone's son was blackmailed on someone's street, "you drive the car while we take your dads brandy out of his house. " Don't worry, he won't know and if you don't do it, you'll get hurt. "Just close your eyes and you won't see anything!" Just don't look! What beliefs do people have?
My last example is a story from 1999. If we have strong beliefs, do we hold our nose and give up what we believe in? Do we give up our beliefs for something as simple as our own life? Are we willing to give the ultimate sacrifice?
People, please give some of us credit for our beliefs. We are not crazy, not stupid, not someone that will hold their nose in the voting booth. Not step off the ledge of sanity. We have passion in God, in our Country and our President. We cannot before God turn the other way. No I will not vote for John McCain. I cannot do something I do not believe in. A lot of talk show hosts are a part of my beliefs and they have taught me that I always should be “standing up for what’s right”!
I know why Mel Gibson quote from Brave Heart is played on Milwaukee radio. "You come here as free men and free men you are..................." , because we believe it!
We are the few that don't complain, don't bitch, just let the left and RINO's beat us up throughout our life. We will not take it anymore. Some may bend with the wind but we will not. What ever happens, we will get through it. As in nature, the weak will perish and the strong will survive. Like the Marines"We are the proud and the few" Let it also be known ,we are not few in numbers as some may think!
Don't make us give up what we believe. Our beliefs are not off the wall, not radical, not crazy, they are after all from Ronald Reagan.

presidential politics: the nation's top radio talker trying to take down the
Republican front-runner in today's Super Tuesday showdown.
"If I believe the country will suffer with either Hillary, Obama or McCain,
