Green Bay and Northeastern Wisconsin is becoming known for more than paper and Packers. Add politics to the list. The changing demographics in this part of the state have caught the attention of national campaign strategists, making the Green Bay area a high priority on the itinerary of presidential candidates.
"It is a swing area but still leans a little
Republican," said Paul Gigot, a Green Bay native who is editorial page editor and vice president of The Wall Street Journal. "You've got a heavy
Catholic area, and Catholics nationwide are the ultimate swing group."
We all have a lot of work to do.
