Battle Line Drawn

With all the talk of health care, the word is out there but will Americans hear and believe it could happen? I speak here of Union management, leadership and some, maybe most but not all in today's unions and the future of health care. From Federal, state and county workers, to teachers in our schools, how far will they take this.
From the Marquette Warrior and the Wall Street Journal.
ObamaCare and Forced Unionization
"In the heated debates on health-care reform, not enough attention is being paid to the huge financial windfalls ObamaCare will dole out to unions—or to the provisions in the various bills in Congress that will help bring about the forced unionization of the health-care industry.
" Marquette Warrior

Here are some of the details.
Tucked away in thousands of pages of complex new rules, regulations and mandates are special privileges and giveaways that could have devastating consequences for the health-care sector and the American economy at large.

How strong will the SEIU get? Forced Union Membership?
The Senate version opens the door to implement forced unionization schemes pursued by former Govs. Rod Blagojevich of Illinois in 2005 and Gray Davis of California in 1999. Both men repaid tremendous political debts to Andy Stern and his Service Employees International Union (SEIU) by reclassifying state-reimbursed in-home health-care (and child-care) contractors as state employees—and forcing them to pay union dues.

HR 3200, don't worry, we're here to help you.
The current House version of ObamaCare (H.R. 3200) goes much further. Section 225(A) grants Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius tremendous discretionary authority to regulate health-care workers “under the public health insurance option.” Monopoly bargaining and compulsory union dues may quickly become a required standard resulting in potentially hundreds of thousands of doctors and nurses across the country being forced into unions.

Doctors will be forced into unions? So the union will twist (break) arms and then will send you to their doctors. You don't need death panels if the union boss has your life in his hands.
The House bill has a $10 billion provision to bail out insolvent union health-care plans. It also creates a lucrative professional-development grant program for health-care workers that effectively blackballs nonunion medical facilities from participation. The training funds in this program must be administered jointly with a labor organization—a scenario not unlike the U.S. Department of Labor’s grants for construction apprenticeship programs, which have turned into a cash cow for construction industry union officials on the order of hundreds of millions of dollars each year.

Where's the bailout for the other health care providers? Why not just take the $10 billion and pay for the uninsured, or pay for pre-existing conditions?
There’s more. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus has suggested that the federal government could pay for health-care reform by taxing American workers’ existing health-care benefits—but he would exempt union-negotiated health-care plans. Under Mr. Baucus’s scheme, the government could impose costs of up to $20,000 per employee on nonunion businesses already struggling to afford health care plans.

So give the unions a pass and impose charges of $20,000 to small business?
Americans are unlikely to support granting unions more power than they already have in the health-care field. History shows union bosses could abuse their power to shut down medical facilities with sick-outs and strikes; force doctors, nurses and in-home care providers to abandon their patients; dictate terms and conditions of employment; and impose a failed, Detroit-style management model on the entire health-care field.

Abuse power, shut down medical facilities, sick-outs and strikes, just what you want from your health care. If Americans let this pass, it's easy to imagine the consequences.

The battle lines will be drawn between two groups of people. It will have nothing to do with race, nothing to do with skin color, nothing to do with religious preference or nothing to do with your heritage. It will not matter how much you make or what your name is. The tensions between members or groups of different social classes will be but a memory in history.

For the people of this country, there will be only two groups of people, union and non union.
Union people will have free health care the non union will pay for free health care. Union people will be first in line and same day visits for health care, non union people will be in waiting lines for days, months and God forbid years for care.

Union people will have access to free prescriptions of the best medicines and the rest will have to buy generic Tylenol. Unions will see the best medical experts, non union will talk to death panels. Unions will get surgery and non unions will get a blue pill and will be told to go somewhere and die.

It will pit unions against employers. unions against non union workers. It will pit fathers against their own sons. Mothers against their own daughters. Union members will be for their brothers and sisters in the rank and file and diss their own blood brothers and sisters of their own families.
A mother or father will be on their death bed in some hospital and their son or daughter will be walking the side walk on strike for a longer break time. Cities will be divided with union members on one side of town with their nice homes and green cut lawns and the rest will live in shanty towns we read of the past or high rise complexes with broken windows and infested crime areas.

The days of racism and prejudice will be a page in history. Some will wonder and ask, "how did we get here, didn't see that coming." There will be no freedom of speech and no freedom to assemble. If you are non union, you will be told what to say, what to think, what doctor to see and what pill to take. Health care is not free. In the end, the history of the greatest country in the history of this world could be lost forever.

All this will happen in the disguise of health care for all. All this will happen before people even realize it even happened. The union bosses and the liberal left (most democrats) are seeking as much power and wealth they can get their hands on. Nothing will stop them. All for the sake of absolute power. If you want one example, I can only point to Merc in Fond du lac and how three worked to get a third vote when union management pretty much wrote off the workers of Mercury Marine.

The battle line has been drawn and a battle it will be. There is no telling what will happen

God Help America Wake up people.
