Mercer Needs $1.3 Million

From the Daily globe. Mercer Wis. is getting a face lift but I wonder where the money will come from? I understand there is a lot of tourism in Mercer but I still see it as a poor area of Wisconsin. O K, maybe poor is a bad choice of words, but they are not Green Bay, Appleton or Stevens Point.
"In a social hour held Wednesday at the Mercer Community Center, Wisconsin's 25th district senator, Bob Jauch, D-Poplar, met with Mercer officials and residents to announce that a Wisconsin Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant worth $435,000 had been awarded to Mercer.

According to a press release from Jauch's office, this grant is the "final piece" in a series of seven grants aimed at overhauling Mercer's infrastructure and improving its downtown. The release said the total value of these projects, with varying percentages in local matches, is $7.7 million, with state and federal aid covering $6.4 million."
$7.7 Million for Mercer makeover
Who or where does the $1.3 million come from that democrat Bob Jauch stated, "varying percentages in local matches"come from. How can $6.4 million come from the state and federal gov.? Was it from the 2009 stimulus? The state of Wisconsin will be 3.3 Billion in the hole for the next budget. Interesting where all this money comes from.

I still ask, where will Mercer find $ 1.3 mil? Look out tax payers. Sounds like another choo choo debacle. Dems promise free money and tax payers holding the bag.
