Russia could use bases for its strategic bombers on the doorstep of the United States in Cuba and Venezuela to underpin long-distance patrols in the region, a senior air force officer said Saturday.
"This is possible in Cuba," General Anatoly Zhikharev, chief of the Russian air force's strategic aviation staff, told the Interfax-AVN military news agency.

To me if Russia starts landing bombers in Venz and cuba , what will happen next? What line will they cross then. Obama should tell them to stay out of the western hemisphere. To protect our own selves from any future aggression. Today it is one bomber, tomorrow it 3 bombers, next week it's missile sites with nuc warheads! There testing Obama and he needs to make a stand! But he won't. I have a bad memory but wasn't something called the bay of Pigs in Cuba?
Reagan would never stand for this! Act of war maybe not today, but what about tomorrow!
