Congressman Steve Kagen (D- Appleton) calls the Bush administration's energy plan, "drilling and burning, drilling and burning." The President called on Congress Wednesday to lift the ban on off shore domestic drilling.

While speaking to reporters, Kagen says oil firms aren't even using what land they have now. He claims oil companies have tapped only 12 million acres of the 80 million that has been leased to them.

Some Republicans including John Gard, whose challenging Kagen, assert that China is drilling near Florida in Cuban waters. The claim, often disputed, essentially warns unfriendly foreign governments are getting to the resource before American companies do.

Sure, sure let the Chinese drill off of Florida, but not us!
"I'm not excited about what foreign countries are doing. I don't represent China or Cuba. I represent the hard working people of Northeast Wisconsin and I'm working very hard every day to guarantee that their money is more valuable so it can go further in their economy."

He says,"I'm not excited about what foreign countries are doing". Why did he bring up a bill to sue OPEC, He hates the oil cartels and the oil companies but China and Cuba, their O K, it's no big deal. The guy is in love with CUBA!

Did you people of Wisconsin hear that. He doesn't care about CHINA!

Is this guy out of touch with his voters back home or what! He also says "working very hard every day to guarantee that their money is more valuable?" Their are no guarantee's in this world. He promises "earmarks" sorry he calls them "investments" and will not drill to reduce our dependency on foreign oil! How can the people of northeastern Wisconsin's money be more valuable if they are paying $2.00 a gal more for gasoline since he took office!

The Appleton Democrat believes other energy sources like wind, solar and nuclear need to be fully utilized.

Wind power, solar? How long does he want us to wait to get cheaper energy? How long will people put up with a guy that embraces the environmental movement? We all care about where we live but how long are we going to get SCREWED by the left?

Steve Kagen doesn't care you pay more for gasoline, more for diesel, more for food, more for cloths for your children. From Washington he faced the northwest and stuck his middle finger up to the people of the 8th district of Wisconsin.

I say it again, in January of 2007 gasoline prices were between 1.95 and 2.29 a gal depending where you live when Steve Kagen took office!

With his finger in the air he said to the people of,
Green Bay $3.92 gal for gas is not enough, no big deal.
De Pere $3.92 a gal is not enough, no big deal.
Algoma $3.93 a gal is not enough, no big deal.
Sturgeon Bay $3.99 is not enough, no big deal.
Marinette $3.91 is not enough, no big deal.
Little Chute $ 3.94 is not enough, no big deal.

We need to send Steve Kagen back to private practice.

Why not call him and tell him to DRILL HERE, and DRILL NOW!
