Thanks to the Appletonian,he makes a good point.
I can just hear Kagen behind closed doors. "Comrades, we are well on our way to getting rid of the republican party, we are that much closer to the supreme rule of this country." "Let us toast to kicking Cheney's #$%!"
"My next goal is to head of the KGB, The Kagan Committee for State Security. Na zdorovia, " Said chairman Kagen
"We are the only party to rule this country!" "Na zdorovia comrade."
"Communism, oh I mean democracy is alive and well."
Appletonian, don't hold your breath waiting for an apology.

Steve Kagen supports one-party rule
At least it sounds that way from his comments about Republicans at the State Democratic Convention this weekend.
Roughest dismissal not just of Bush but of all Republicans: "They don't belong in Washington, they don't belong in our statehouses, they don't belong in our local governments for centuries to come for what they've done to our country," said Congressman Steve Kagen, D-Appleton.
What a representative voice of Appleton, Green Bay, and the rest of the 8th congressional district. Steve Kagen should be deeply ashamed of his crass, childish rhetoric.
Kagen really owes Republicans in the district an apology for this insult. Not to be overly dramatic or anything, but it sounds downright Stalinist. 8th district residents should expect better." The Appletonian: Steve Kagen supports one-party rule
