"Area Runners Among 15,000 At Bellin Event
The 10-kilometer Bellin Run in Green Bay has turned into quite the spectacle.
In fact, it became one of the country’s biggest running events with over 15,000 participants this past weekend.
The area was well represented on Saturday, as men and women and children of all ages took part on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
One of the best area finishes came from Lena native Jenny Graef, who was seventh out of all women participating with a time of 38:31.
Crivitz’ Laura Ankrum was 11th with a time of 39:56, while Julie Graef of Lena (21st, 41:05) and Darlene Rhode of Coleman (42nd, 42:57) were also in the top 50.
The leading area man was Ryan Hartwig, a Peshtigo native, who was 30th with a time of 34:37. Jason Soper of Gillett was 39th at 35:35, while Marinette’s Luke Karban was 45th at an even 36 minutes." Peshtigo Times Wisconsin Community Newspaper
Good job Jason.
I can't even walk to the mail box without getting tired.
Hats off to all the runners that made the Bellin run a success.
