Congressman Steve Kagen, Kool Aid or Straight Jacket

Jo over at Fox Politics recaps some comments by Pelosi puppet Congressman Steve Kagen

from Kevin Binversie, Christian Schneider and Tom Foley.

Jo says- "Kagen says you’re confused. Me too."
" FoxPolitics.net - Appleton, WI News - What's really going on in the Fox Cities

"What? Binversie says it means Kagen sees polling that says he’s losing."

Christian Schneider piles on.

Blogger Tom Foley’s insightful observation. Still in blame-game mode, Kagen goes off the deep end.

I need to comment on what Tom posted. What is Steve Kagen talking about here? Let's try to translate.
"We must never forget that four years ago, when our children and our jobs and our families' health and our national economy were being destroyed — being destroyed by policies that rewarded wealth rather than work — it was these Republican policies that drove our economy into the ditch. It was the Republican policies that destroyed 8-1/2 million jobs. Destroyed 8-1/2 million jobs. It's not an easy task.

One of my friends put it this way: What George Bush has done singlehandedly, the Germans and Japanese together in World War Two couldn't do it together."
illusory tenant: Steve Kagen goes Godwin

First off, Steve four years ago 2006 unemployment was
"The unemployment rate for all workers held at 4.6 percent in June."

Today unemplyment, 9.7 %. I'll take 2006.

Lets look at housing starts in 2010. The housing report is due out Wednesday morning and expectations are
"650,000 units in May"
In January 2006 it was at 2.273 million starts. I'll take 2006.

What is Steve Kagen talking about?

Steve said, "Republican policies that destroyed 8-1/2 million jobs. Destroyed 8-1/2 million jobs." Where is he getting 8-1/2 million? Does he pull numbers out of his butt?

How many jobs were lost in 2009 Steve? Answer 5.1 million. Lets look at what Steve Kagen said about 2006. "Destroyed 8-1/2 million jobs" From CNN.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - The unemployment rate fell to its lowest level in nearly five years in January, the government reported Friday, as employers added a respectable 193,000 jobs to payrolls and paychecks increased more than expected.

The Labor Department said the unemployment rate dipped to 4.7 percent from 4.9 in December, the lowest since 4.6 percent in July 2001, just before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Economists had forecast that the rate would remain unchanged from December.

The drop in unemployment was the latest sign of a tightening labor market, which could put upward pressure on wages and prices in the months ahead." Unemployment rate of 4.7 percent lowest since July 2001 - Feb. 3, 2006

I'll take 2006.

What George Bush has done singlehandedly, the Germans and Japanese
together in World War Two couldn't do it together.
What is he talking about? The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor but Bush was worse! The number of Jews who were killed in the Holocaust was 5.7 milllion to 6.0 million (or even slightly higher) but Bush was worse?  WW2 started in 1939. The U.S. joined in 1941. When the war ended in 1945, roughly 292,000 American military personnel had lost their lives and Bush is worse. What is he talking about?

Is he saying something to the vets in the 8th district? My God, has he lost his mind!

The man needs help. He either drank too much

How can people vote for this man?
