DE PERE — Green Bay area residents urged local legislators Tuesday night to draft a state bill in support of a regional transit authority."

What is a Appleton state representative doing in DePere?
"I truly believe we need access to buses, trains and everything we need to get around our communities," said state Rep. Penny Bernard Schaber, D-Appleton, during a forum at the Kress Family Branch of the Brown County Library.

State law does not permit the formation of such transit authorities, but legislation circulating around the Assembly would allow for such an authority in the Fox Cities area, Schaber said.

So Penny wants to ram this down the throats of the people of Green Bay? Where will this money come from? Anyone in favor of a Fox Valley RTA program of any kind should not be fit to hold office or run for public office.

Did Penny Bernard Schaber vote for the 830 million dollar choo choo for Milwaukee to Madison?

Penny Bernard Schaber needs to be replaced in Madison. The people of her Appleton district deserve someone better!
Many of the working poor live in the central area of Green Bay and have a hard time getting to jobs in Howard and Ashwaubenon, Putman said. The new authority could provide longer bus hours for those working second shifts, more routes and even service on Sundays, she added.

Green Bay Metro director Chris Phelps said the current system is backwards, and he supports a regional transit authority.

The rest of us are supposed to pay for the poor to get around? How many people in Green Bay take the bus to work? Obviously Chris Phelps doesn't know how to do his job. He admits he's running a backwards transit system. Chris supports an RTA, he should go too!

Any thought or talk for a Fox Valley RTA (regional transit authority) needs to be stopped right now.
