Steve Kagen, "Jungle Laws"

With everyone being held to higher standards in this politically correct world, with the discussion of white mobs, black Americans carrying guns to town hall meetings, with all the discussion on health care being hijacked, I have to ask a question. If a white Republican Congressman today used the following word " jungle laws", or maybe used a word like"macaca" from a couple years ago would they be crucified from every MSM outlet from CNN to the Green Bay Press Gazette? From Jill Lawrence from Political Daily. She was riding along with Congressman Steve Kagen getting his take on health care. Congressman Kagen also has the article on his web site.

"As Kagen was riding to Green Bay on Monday for what would turn out to be his "roasting," I asked him if he thought his colleagues should take more risks when it comes to health care legislation. "I would reassure my colleagues and my patients and my constituents that we are a nation of written laws, not jungle laws," he said. "We're a nation that thinks things all the way through. We don't shout in the movie house about a fire. And any member of Congress shouldn't misrepresent the truth. We have to understand how important it is to listen to one another and be able to solve our problems with conversations, not confrontations.""

Steve Kagen said "not jungle laws". Again, in this politically correct world, if a republican said this, it would be covered 24/7 by every news outlet, and if they held office they would be forced to resign.

We would hear from
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton?

Is this a double standard?

From the man that gave us"injun time", from Freedom Eden

"Dem 8th CD candidate Steve Kagen apologized today for apparently saying he was on "injun time" to describe his reason for arriving late to a forum." FREEDOM EDEN: Kagen Riding on Injun Time

We live in Wisconsin, we live in the United States of America. The year is 2009. We do not live in a jungle. Because I and conservatives know and understand what Steve Kagen meant, it is really no big deal. We do live in a nation of written laws. I'm just saying if John Gard said this two years ago, or if who ever is Steve Kagen's opponent next year would say "jungle laws", all hell would break loose. Double standard? Will anyone at least have Congressman Kagen clarify his "not jungle laws" comment? What did he mean by "not jungle laws"? Maybe someone who is not bias from TV26 in Green Bay can look into this?
