7 congressional candidates visit Arctic Refuge

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -- Seven congressional candidates from across the country visited the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge this week, hoping the unusual campaign stop would draw support from voters battered by high fuel prices and a lethargic economy.
The candidates, all Republicans, said Thursday that the trip cemented their support for drilling in the refuge and vowed to cast their votes accordingly if elected to Congress.
I thought the Democrats were open minded, good hearted people looking out for the little guy. There voters are crying for lower fuel prices and they won't even look at ANWR. What are they afraid of? Where is the " we just want to get along" party?
Which voting block do they stand for?
Must be the environmental left. What a sad, sad party.
