DENVER (AP) - The Denver City Council Safety Committee will consider a proposal July 23 that would ban the possession of materials like weighted pipes and chains, as well as other items that could be used to make bombs containing urine and feces for protests.

The Denver Police Department calls such materials potentially dangerous.

No pee and no crap. How boring.

Excuse me, are we discussing our kind, good, compassionate friends on the left? Are we talking about the people my mother believes and votes for? Are these the good people that hate George Bush? Love George Soros? It can't be. Where is Anonymous?

Hundreds of Denver's homeless could be cooling their heels in a movie theater or museum while the Democratic National Convention is in town next month.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless plans to get 500 movie tickets as well as passes to the Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature and Science and other cultural facilities for the people it helps.

Bus tickets will be provided for events beyond walking distance, said John Parvensky, the non-profit's president.
