Let The Record Show
Posted: Jan. 18, 2007
Washington - For new members of Congress, it's normally good to be noticed.
But doctor-turned-congressman Steve Kagen can't relish the kind of publicity he's getting lately.
We all need to remember what Mr. Kagen had done in the past and can do at anytime.
You make the descion! Let's send Dr. Kagen back to private practice
Reporter: "Yes or no? Did you tell (Rove) you kicked his ass?"
Kagen: "I'll stick with my statement."
Reporter: "That you kicked his ass?"
Kagen: "Any other questions?"
And this one:
Reporter: "Yes or no? Did you say it?"
Kagen: "I've answered your question."
Reporter: "You didn't answer the question, yes or no, 'Yes, it's true,' or 'No, I didn't say it,' or, 'I was just kidding around. . . . ' Why can't we get a yes or no?"
After the news conference, editorials appeared in the Appleton, Green Bay and Milwaukee newspapers chastising Kagen.
Saying the Democrat showed signs of being a "loose cannon" during the campaign, the Appleton Post-Crescent declared, "Boom goes Dr. Millionaire."
Don't Let Me Forget
This is my own personel post! You hucksters, ronald paul's and johnny mac people, please go away!!!!!!!
From My Way News
THE SPIN:
In Wednesday's debate, McCain suggested he opposed tax cuts because they were not accompanied by cuts in spending.
Challenged on his changing story, McCain said he does think lower and middle income people need help. But then he said he opposed tax cuts that were not accompanied by spending restraints. He meant the Bush tax cuts.
"I made it very clear when I ran in 2000 that I had a package of tax cuts which were very important and very impactful, but I also had restraints in spending," he said.
"And I disagreed when spending got out of control. And I disagreed when we had tax cuts without spending restraint," McCain said.
He added: "And guess what? Spending got out of control. Republicans lost the 2006 election not over the war in Iraq, (but) over spending. Our base became disenchanted.
"If we had done what I wanted to do, we would not only have had the spending restraint, but we'd be talking about additional tax cuts today."
---
THE FACTS:
Spending was not why McCain said he opposed President Bush's tax cuts in 2001 and 2003.
In 2001, McCain said the $1.35 trillion tax cut benefited the wealthy at the expense of the middle class.
"I cannot in good conscience support a tax cut in which so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us at the expense of middle-class Americans who most need tax relief," McCain said then.
McCain tried but failed to amend the bill to reduce income tax cuts for the wealthiest and give greater benefits to those earning less. He and Sen. Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island were the only Republicans to oppose the 2001 tax cuts.
At the time, McCain was still at odds with Bush, who had dealt McCain a stinging defeat in the race for the GOP presidential nomination just one year before.
In 2003, McCain opposed a $350 billion tax cut sought by Bush, this time arguing there should be no tax relief while the cost of the Iraq war and its aftermath were still unknown.
"The tax cut is not appropriate until we find out the cost of the war and the cost of reconstruction," McCain said then.
One more Republican senator, Olympia Snowe of Maine, teamed with McCain and Chafee to oppose the 2003 tax cuts. They and Republican Sen. George Voinovich of Ohio teamed to limit the size of the tax cut to $350 billion, half the size of what Bush originally wanted.
Incidentally, public opinion surveys do not back up McCain's claim that Republicans lost control of Congress in 2006 over the issue of spending.
Associated Press-Ipsos polling that tracks what people consider the most important issues facing the country picked up hardly anyone citing government spending or the federal deficit as an important problem in 2006. Rather, polling said the economy, Iraq, terrorism and scandals and corruption in government rated highly in 2006.

Need To Drop Oakland
Airport found legitimate in troop treatment
By Audrey HudsonJanuary 31, 2008
The Oakland International Airport did not break any laws or regulations when it denied 200 Marines and soldiers access to the passenger terminal during a layover last year from Iraq to the troops' home base in Hawaii, the Transportation Department says.
The Sept. 27 layover was the last stop for fuel and food, but the troops, who were returning from a tour in Iraq, were denied access to food and bathroom facilities.
What a bunch of CRAP!!!!!!!!

From WisPolitics J G press release
Steve Kagen raised $192,002.
So far in the campaign, 62% of John's contributions have come from individual contributors.
On the other hand, Steve Kagen has received 62% of his contributions from Political Action Committees.
66% of John's contributors are from the 8th Congressional District and 89% are from Wisconsin.
62% of John's contributors gave less than $100 - the surest sign of a strong

Hummmmmmm, Steve, 62% came from PAC's?
Hope no one thinks I might have a certain slant on my posts?

Appleton lawmaker to introduce smoking legislation
Proposal to be modeled after city's law
By Ben Jones Gannett Wisconsin Newspapers
MADISON — An Appleton lawmaker said Wednesday he is introducing legislation to enact a statewide workplace smoking ban even as similar legislation stalled in the state Senate. "It will take Appleton as a role model and apply Appleton's smoking ban statewide, without exceptions," said state Rep. Steve Wieckert, R-Appleton.
I'm not from the Fox Valley but would like to know if Mr Wieckert is a _ _ _ _ ? I'm not sure what to say. Is Mr. Wieckert a Republican? Does he care for the people of Appleton and the State of Wisconsin? If he really cares about a smoking ban, why not just submit a bill to ban all forms of tobacco.
JUST BAN IT!
Take it away like prohibition, how long did that last!
I quit using tobbaco 5 weeks ago and it is a tough habit to break. I will tell you if tobacco is legal than it is up to each individual to make their own choices! Businesses have the right to have smoke or smoke free establishments. People have the choice to go to smoking or non smoking establishments. Smokers have the right to smoke or not smoke!
Wieckert's bill would force a statewide ban Jan. 1, and would apply to restaurants and taverns.z
Mr. Wieckert, where will it end? People's cars, houses, garages, how far will the no smoking radicals take this. Why not put smokers in a leper colony? Hey, again I quit but that was my choice. This country was built on freedom.
I guess we're back to square one," Breske said. Taverns need more time to deal with a ban so owners can decide whether to remain in business, he said. If there is a ban, many bars, particularly in northern Wisconsin, will be forced to close, Breske said.
You darn right bars will close! and what will happen? Oh this is great, let another business close down.
Do they realize what will happen.
First the bars close. Then the state gets, lost state tax income, lost alcohol tax income ( beer and booze), lost property tax income, lost wages to emplyee's, now add unemployment benifits, lost jobs from food sales like Tombstone, Jack's, Frito Lay, Mrs Karls bread, Reinhart wholesale foods, meat distributors with chicken wings, patties and BBQ, soda companies like Pepsi, Coke, Sun Drop. Oh and what will towns and cities do when they lose money from a tavern licence. Some licences run 10,000 to 20,000 dollors. Where will these guys come up with the lost state income? Oh thats right Diamond Jim told us the state has a surplus! Yea right!
Oh, by the way, will these laws apply to reservation casino's? Diamond Jim, what's the answer?
Breske also said the main argument made by supporters of the ban — secondhand smoke was harmful to employees and patrons in bars and restaurants who have to breathe it — is "hogwash."
I like this guy, Where's he from again.
The point is if it's legal , let it go, If you don't like it then BAN it. But if you do then where are you going to find the lost tax revenue. Who's going to pay for the children?

Wind Chill - Hog Wash
I will first say I am no scientist. Mark Belling once said that he doesn't believe in wind chill factors. The temp. is what it is . Throw out the idea of wind chill. ten below is colder than 10 above, 25 below is colder than 5 above. Cold is cold! Dress for it!
Here's my question.
I'm traveling in my car on my way to Green Bay.
The temperature gauge shows the outside temp at 15 below 0.
I'm traveling 60 MPH.
What is the wind chill? From weather.gov
The Wind chill from there chart shows the wind chill at 55 below 0.
If the wind chill is 55 below, how come my gauge doesn't change to -55?
Why does it stay at 15 below?
Shouldn't my car feel like 55 below .
Is my car conservative or liberal?
Should I ask my car if it feels cold and give it some compassion or maybe government subsidies to help it!
Hillary, if it feels -55 than it should be - 55? What will you do for my car?
No, I do not talk to my car unless I'm low on gas and a station is not in site.
Until proven different , I'll pass on wind chill.
Also, when I was a kid 40 years ago, I don't remember so many school closings. The teachers just had a vacation. Hey, let's give em another raise. WEAC sure has it made!
Dress for the conditions!
John McCain
Conservatives are down to two serious candidates for the nomination. One
candidate, Mitt Romney, has tried hard to convince us his recent conversion to
the cause is legitimate. (And he
succeeded with Florida conservatives.) The front runner, Sen. McCain, has a
history of thumbing
his nose at us. If he’s going to be the nominee I want to give McCain ample
opportunity for him to convince us he’s one of us.
I give Sean credit for keeping an open mind. Sorry it is hard to believe someone after McCain/Fiengold, the gang of 14, amnesty for illegal aliens, voted against tax cuts, etc., etc., etc..
Utter disgust, flip flopping RINO's are not my cup of tea.
Dick Morris on the Election last night on H & C (paraphrasing). The conservatives are moving to the left. What in God's name are people doing? I think the libs in Florida didn't have anything to vote for so they just voted for McCain to stir up the pot.
I can't believe I'm saying this- maybe let it go , even with Hillary in office , my family will be O K.
As Rush or Mark B said yesterday (not sure), we had to have Jimmy Carter to get Ronald Reagan .
What a sad commentary.

McCain Beats Romney in Florida GOP Race
Jan 29 09:33 PM US/Eastern
By DAVID ESPO and LIZ SIDOTIAssociated Press Writers
MIAMI (AP) - Sen. John McCain won a breakthrough triumph in the Florida Republican primary Tuesday night, edging past former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and seizing precious campaign momentum for next week's string of contests across 21 states.
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was running third, and headed for the exits. Officials familiar with events said his aides were in discussions with McCain's advisers on a possible endorsement later in the week.
"It shows one thing. I'm the conservative leader who can unite the party," McCain said in a brief interview with The Associated Press.
Mr McCain, You will not unite this Conservitive!
It will be a cold day in HELL before I give up my beliefs for this guy.
He can go talk to Russ and sell us out some more!!!!!!!!!!!
Kagen Watch - Guest Column
January 28th Appleton Post Cresent
I have some questions for Mr. Kagen about his Guest Column.
Congress, president need to work on economy
Posted January 27, 2008
By Rep. Steve KagenFalling down is painful for everyone. All across
America, and right here at home, families are struggling to keep their heads
above water. Home values are tumbling. If home values are tumbling, can you explain this headline from the
Appleton Post Cresent dated Jan. 25, 2008.
From Ed Lowe Post-Crescent staff writer , . Outagamie's home sales resist slump Valley's housing market nearly holding its own APPLETON All real estate markets are local, the adage goes. Link to article
Again you said "Home values are tumbling".
It mentions existing home sales were off 12.8 percent nationally in 2007 .
Than how can Outagamie County home existing sales reported in Northeastern Wisconsin declined only 1.3 percent for the year. Looks like Northeastern Wisconsin is doing well. Can you tell me what district you represent? Mr Kagen, which is it, 12.8 nationally or 1.3 in Northeastern Wisconsin. It also says "Meanwhile, average sale prices rose in Winnebago and Calumet counties during 2007". Come on, home prices up in Wisconsin? Mr Kagen, can you tell me where are you getting your information or are you deceiving the people of the 8th district again? If average home prices are down, do you ever think there are young people that might want to buy their first home. Did you ever look at all the couples that get married every week and are looking for a home? It's a buyers market! Are you forgetting about your younger constituents of the 8th district?
Unemployment rates are increasing, and costs for health care, gasoline, heating
oil, energy, groceries and education are rising rapidly.
Adjusted Unemployment Rate - 5.0% in Dec 2007. Mr Kagen , can you tell me what bills you passed in congress to help increase jobs? What will you tell the people of the 8th district.
Health care cost rising - Mr. Kagen , why didn't you pass the SCHIP bill the president asked for. Did you tell the people of the 8th district that you tried to have all adults up to age 25 receive government health care? Is your kind of health care working in Canada and England?
Gasoline and heating oil costs rising- Mr Kagen where are you getting your information? This from MSNBC "Price of gas falls 9 cents in last two weeks" National average for gallon of regular was $2.98 Friday, survey says. From MSNBC . Mr Kagen, if you would not prop up the ethanol lobby and drill in ANWR and maybe authorizes some refinery plants , gasoline prices would come down even more.
We must begin to think differently in America. It is time for Congress and the
president to work together and take immediate actions to ease the burden on
those most affected by this emerging economic recession — our middle- and
lower-income families.
What Recession? Mr Kagen, From the Wall Street Journal. The U.S. has not experienced a quarter of negative consumption growth since a modest 0.3% drop in the seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) in the fourth quarter of 1991 and two consecutive negative consumption growth quarters of -2.7% and -1.7% during the fourth quarter of 1990 and the first quarter of 1991 -- the two quarters that marked the last serious American recession. If we have not had a recession since 1991 when will we be in the next recession. Again, as of now, we are not in a RECESSION! Your doom and gloom is scaring the people of the 8th district!
Everywhere I go, people are telling me they feel uneasy: retirees in
Clintonville surviving on fixed incomes, working families in Green Bay,
students in De Pere, homeowners across the 8th district, and even public
school teachers who once thought they would never be laid off.Mr. Kagen, when will you help all of us and spend less with ear marks and stop
taking away so much of our tax money. IT'S OUR
MONEY, NOT YOURS!Last week in Niagara, for example, 319 papermaking jobs disappeared along with another 125 paper jobs in Kimberly. These were higher wage jobs that put food on the table and helped pay the mortgages for hard-working Wisconsin families. In my view, the good people of Niagara and Kimberly are paying the price for our nation's unfair and unbalanced trade agreements. NAFTA and CAFTA-like trade policies failed to deliver the prosperity promised by professional politicians, as we are compelled to compete against slave-like labor in foreign lands. If we allow these unfair policies to continue, they may soon bankrupt all of us. Congress and the president must take steps immediately to do what is best for American workers and American jobs.
Todd Lohenry said it best from his January 24th post on DR. K's. dribble, "For the better part of President George W. Bush’s second term, Democrats have led repeated assaults on the performance of the U.S. economy. However, the talking points given to House Democrats are hardly new. Blame any job losses immediately on free trade agreements and unfair trade practices by China. And deny an economic recovery ever took place under the Bush administration."Democrats in general and Steve Kagen in particular, need to stop blaming President Bush for the sad state of affairs in Wisconsin and point the finger where it belongs -- firmly in the direction of Governor Doyle. Read on -- this gets good... Right on Todd!
We must begin to secure our very way of life. For hard-working people in Niagara, in Kimberly and for all our nation's children, I urge the president to design an economic stimulus package that is targeted at middle and lower income citizens, and measured so as to prevent inflationary pressures later this year. What about the people who pay taxes? , I agree some kind of stimulus package should be done but , geeez, Dr. K. you sure are pandering!
Everything should be on the table for discussion including extending unemployment benefits for affected workers, providing targeted tax rebates and increasing earned income tax credits, as well as temporary tax cuts for small businesses. O K, temporary tax cuts, Oh thank you kind sir. How about permanent tax cuts.
While your at it, will you pay every ones car and truck payments for six months? How about paying peoples rent for six months? How about pay every ones grocery bills for six months? How about paying every ones home owners insurance? Could you also pay for my gasoline for the next six months? I'd like to get a snowmobile, can you pay for one of those too? Where is all this money coming from Mr Kagen?
I also call upon the president to immediately convene a Fair Competition Committee, as England did a generation ago, to determine if we can afford to sell any more of our nation's assets to foreign entities. WAIT I'M LOST, WHERE DID HE GET THIS FROM? Another committee to do what? Holy cow, the mother ship is about to land, this is getting scary! He must be talking to Ron and Dennis.
When foreign nations and foreign kingdoms own all our manufacturing plants, all our farms, all our roads and our railroads, we will have lost everything without firing a single shot. Simply put, if we don't make anything, we won't have anything. Comrade Kagen, you are correct, you want this to happen and it is called socialism. Remember the Soviet Union or did you not take World History in school.
Let's invest our tax dollars right here at home rebuilding our highways and bridges, our infrastructure and school buildings. Lets see, road builders lobby, home builders lobby, bridge builders lobby. These long-term investments will immediately generate higher wage jobs and boost small businesses and families alike. What small businesses? We must not keep falling deeper into debt, for the simple fact is we cannot spend our way into prosperity. Why do you libs keep adding earmarks if you say we cannot spend our way into prosperity! I am hopeful that by working together across party lines, we will begin to resolve this economic recession and bring an end to the borrow-and-spend government policy that caused this mess. Hey, how many times do we have to tell you "we are not in a recession and your one of those in Washington that is borrowing -and-spending. Building a more secure future begins next week in Congress as we find ways to agree on a stimulus package that is fiscally responsible and paid for over a reasonable time frame. Paid for is code word for raising taxes! Falling down is painful, but that is apparently how we learn. Rep. Steve Kagen, D-Appleton, represents the 8th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Web site: http://kagen.house.gov/.
Mr Kagen, please be honest with the people of the 8th district. Some of us are having difficult times but please do not bend the truth. You were sent to Washington to serve the people of the 8th district. Not grow government, but to reduce government. Not raise taxes but to reduce taxes. You cannot even be honest with the people of Niagara, Kimberly, Appleton, all the people of the 8th district! You cannot even be honest with the retirees in Clintonville surviving on fixed incomes, not honest with working families in Green Bay, not honest with students in De Pere, not honest with homeowners across the 8th district, and you can't even be honest with public school teachers. What a shame.
The people of the 8th district deserve better. We need to get you back to your practice.

Renaldus Magnus
An article By William Kristol.
Waiting for Reagan You fight an election with the politicians you
have.
by William Kristol
01/28/2008, Volume 013, Issue 19
Conservative editorialists, radio hosts, and bloggers are unhappy. They
don't like the Republican presidential field, and many of them have been heaping
opprobrium on the various GOP candidates with astonishing vigor. For example:
John McCain--with a lifetime American Conservative Union rating of 82.3--is
allegedly in no way a conservative. And, though the most favorably viewed of all
the candidates right now, both among Republicans and the electorate as a whole,
he would allegedly destroy the Republican party if nominated.[ Yes , this is true] Or
take Mike Huckabee. He was a well-regarded and successful governor of Arkansas,
reelected twice, the second time with 40 percent of the black vote. He's come
from an asterisk to second in the national GOP polls with no money and no
establishment support. Yet he is supposedly a buffoon and political naïf. [ So far Mr Kristol, you are correct] He's been staunchly
pro-life and pro-gun and is consistently supported by the most conservative
primary voters--but he is, we're told, no conservative either.[ No he is not!] Or Mitt
Romney. He's a man of considerable accomplishments, respected by many who have
worked with and for him in various endeavors. He took conservative positions on
social issues as governor of Massachusetts, and parlayed a one-term governorship
of a blue state into a first-tier position in the Republican race.[ I don't like flip flopper's] But he, too, we're told, is deserving of no respect. And though he's embraced conservative policies and seems likely to be steadfast in pursuing them--he's no conservative either.
One could go on. And it's true the Republican
candidates are not unproblematic. But they are so far performing more credibly
than much of the conservative commentariat. Beyond the normal human frailties
that affect all of us, including undoubtedly the commentators at this journal,
there is one error that is distorting much conservative discussion of the
presidential race. It's -Reagan nostalgia. It's foolish to wait for another
Ronald Reagan. But not just because his political gifts are rare. There's a
particular way in which Reagan was exceptional that many of us fail to
appreciate: He was the only president of the last century who came to the office
as the leader of an ideological movement. Reagan gave "The Speech" in October
1964, inherited the leadership of the conservative movement after Goldwater's
loss, defeated a moderate establishment Republican two years later to win the
GOP nomination for governor of California, and then defeated the Democratic
incumbent. He remained in a sense the leader of conservatives nationally while
serving two terms as governor, ran unsuccessfully against Gerald Ford in 1976,
and won the presidency in 1980. He was a conservative first and a politician
second, a National Review and Human Events reader first and an elected official
second. This is exceedingly unusual. The normal American president is a
politician, with semicoherent ideological views, who sometimes becomes a vehicle
for an ideological movement. Franklin Roosevelt, John Kennedy, and George W.
Bush are typical. They can be good nominees and effective presidents. They can
advance the cause of a movement that works with them and through them. But
they're not Reagans. [ Who said they were Reagan?] This year's GOP field is, in this sense, normal. Conservatives [ I do not want a NORMAL Conservative!] will find
things to like and dislike, to trust and distrust, in each of the candidates.
All of this is fine. [ No, it is not fine] And one could argue that a primary process featuring debate and competition is also fine, that it is healthier than a coronation, and that the party nominee could well emerge stronger from the process.
[Not with the three above mentioned]
So the conservative commentariat should take a deep breath, be a bit less judgmental about these individuals--and realize that there is not likely to be a second Reagan. [ We do not want another Reagan, there was only one!] [We want someone with
CONSERVATIVE ideals] They could also learn from liberalism's history.
Liberalism was the most successful American political movement of the first
two-thirds of the 20th century. Its three iconic presidents were Theodore
Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, and John Kennedy. All advanced the liberal cause
while in office. None was a standard-bearer for liberalism before becoming
president--though each was inclined in a more or less progressive direction.
What it means to be a serious, successful, and mature political movement is to
take men like these--one might say to take advantage of men like these--in order
to advance one's principles and cause. So conservatives might think of John
McCain as our potential TR, Mike Huckabee as our potential FDR, and Mitt Romney
as our potential JFK. Support the one you prefer. But don't work yourself into a
frenzy against the others. Let the best man emerge from a challenging primary
process. [Mr Kristols definition of the "best Man"and true conservatives are two different meaning and people] And if there is no clear-cut winner, then the delegates at the GOP convention can turn on the fifth ballot to an obvious fallback compromise candidate, one who would be just fine with conservatives--Dick Cheney!--William Kristol
Mr Kristol seems to have as they say "his undies in a bundle".
I thought he always spoke with conservative values. Something has changed. He has lately been sliding towards the middle, a moderate. There is no such person as a moderate! Look what he said in his article. What middle of the road dribble! Mr Kristol, our fight is not with conservatives. Our fight is with the left! We will not compromise our beliefs with the moderates of the left or the moderates of the right. We don't ask for a candidate like Ronald Regan, we ask for a candidate that has conservative ideas and conservative beliefs that Ronald Regan had. You people in Washington have been there too long. The mild stench that permeates in that town is slowly working it's way into the life's blood of in the past we thought were sane people. Yes , the republican party may no longer in the future exist (like the WIGS). But conservative values will go on forever.
Mr Kristol, all of us hope you some day wake up and fight with us against the left and not fight with each other! I am disappointed!

Packer - Giants Weekend
O K watching ESPN, they keep talking about the Packers screen plays that the team does so well. Excuse me, if you look at the whole 2007 season, the Packers did not use the screen very often because it didn't work very well. Look at the records. Yes the past Packer teams were noted for the screen play even go back to Lombardi. But not this past year. You experts , get your stories straight.
ESPN and NFL Network,
I fully agree that Brett and the offence is big and maybe most of the success in 2007. Tom Brady and Randy Moss, yes, a scoring machine! With only three games left to the season, one thing has to be said. The team with the best defence will win. Look at the Packers Super Bowl win, (Green Bay 35 New England 21) they had Reggie White and all the rest of the Packer defence. Brett scored and the defence held the Pats. Look at the 85 Bears, ( Chicago 46 New England 10 )Ditka had a great defence that could stop everyone they played.
So two Super Bowl years , two great defences, and two loses by the New England Patriots.
Wow, what coincidence.
NFL Network, I am sick and tired of watching all those New England games of the past, STOP showing them!

Already caught up in an FBI investigation of a scheme to sell
stolen infant formula, a New Berlin grocery wholesaler is also in the middle of
a complex lawsuit involving the sale and distribution of millions of counterfeit
condoms.
Kaloti
Enterprises has steadfastly denied dealing in stolen infant formula. But it
admits buying and selling a shipment of counterfeit Trojan condoms as well as a
load of fake Duracell batteries.
The company's defense: It didn't know the
products were counterfeit.
At the end of the article
While many brand-name products are counterfeited, Potter said, "I must tell
you that counterfeiting condoms is pretty distasteful."
Yea, I guess that is pretty distasteful. What a statement.
Church & Dwight said consumers who have questions or think they may have
bought counterfeit condoms can contact its consumer affairs department at
(800)
575-2925.
Church and Dwight, can you use baking soda with them?
How do you know if their counterfeit?
Do you send it back to them used?
How do I explain this to my 16 and 17 year old boys?
Any questions just call the number. 800 575 2925

At first it was a little strange to find out that people noticed my blog. Reading other blogs I now know what other bloggers go through from the left. You lefties and libs, what pathetic thoughts and beliefs you have. Because I choose to blog I need to remind people of something very important,
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Do I need to explain to you libs what the first Amendment means?
I am not a professional writer, nor a politician, or member of any MSM. I can only write what is on my mind and what is in my heart. I have strong conservative beliefs. I do not agree with liberals, lefties and or moderates, (go to the library and check out a book "Great Moderates of the World', you can't find one) I do not like RINO's, I am conservative before I am a republican.
What you see is what you get.
I write on blogs to voice my opinion. To vent some of my frustrations since the left have dumbed down so many in this country. My comments may not be politically correct, may not have proper grammar, may not have all i's doted or t's crossed, I do not get paid for my comments. If some sniveling wimpy lefty doesn't like my comments, that's O K. I ask all readers to my posts to comment anytime you see fit. Good or bad I'll always take them. To those on the web, I am not going away.
YOUR STUCK WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!
Now to what I am truly honored by.
I got a chuckle that someone would give me a comment on one of my posts from WTH . This person had nothing to say about the content of my post. Just spelling errors, etc., etc.,etc., yada, yada, yada. Again , what about the content. Can this be one of my english teachers from high school? Miss Dogot, it that you? You still remember me after thirty five years, I am impressed
From "Anonymous ", this (must be a lib) person doesn't have the guts to even tell me who they are. What, I don't bite. Tell me who you are and we can have a good discussion. We need more discussion of ideas, not punctuation, come on stand up for yourself.
Hey, Berry Laker! Get a grip -- your post is loaded with typos...extra
space after an inside bracket, spelled cheap 'cheep',spelled pastrami
'patrami'period instead of a ? after a question...spelled roomie 'roomy'No comma
in "Steve make some kind of bet!"And I can't even begin to comprehend what this
sentence means: "Since Dr. K. is just lost (you think) with what kind of wager
he can make with someone from New York, lets give him a hand."Make that two
questions that end with a period.Okay, I'm done...

board objects to federal provisos
Members won't comply
with some
requirements; schools could lose money

With millions of dollars in aid to schools at stake, the
Milwaukee School Board has put the brakes on a main element of a plan to get
MPS off the list of
districts not measuring up under the federal No Child
Left Behind law.
"I dare them to take money out of kids'
classrooms," board member Jennifer
Morales said. She has led the charge to
oppose two steps required under a plan
the board agreed to in September for
dealing with MPS' label of District
Identified for Improvement under the
federal law. [Isn't
this the same Jennifer
Morales that wants to get her significant
other on the MPS
health care system]. [ Oh, but she can take
money from the kids for her
sweeties health care?]
Morales said she had reached the point of
refusing to cooperate any further
with the requirements of what she called a
failed law distracting MPS from doing things that
actually improve student
achievement. [Refusing to cooperate
seems pretty
radical.]
"Now is the moment when we just say 'enough,' "
she
said. "If we don't hold the line and say, 'No way, we're not going to play
this stupid game and waste the taxpayers' money,' who is?"
[Wow, who is wasting taxpayers dollars?]
Later in the article.
MPS receives
about
$100 million a year in federal Title 1 education aid. Districts that do
not
comply with rules can be penalized by losing some of that money. [That makes sense, if you don't follow the rules you don't get
the money.]
Reacting to the board's actions, Elizabeth
Burmaster, state superintendent of public
instruction, said Friday, "If
they're not going to use the funds for what we
directed them to do, which
their board approved earlier, I guess we'd be looking
at not giving them
that money [ Holy cow, did Elizabeth Burmaster really say
that, ..................... I think I'm having a heart attack.................................]
Burmaster added, "Our expectation is that MPS will meet their obligations under
the DIFI plan, which they were obligated to develop under the No Child Left
Behind Act. . . . If not, they will be subject to sanctions under the
law."

Call an ambulance, she said what? MPS should meet their obligations!!!!!!!
O K , let me take my nitro pills and catch my breath!
I know this might be difficult for Jennifer but lets clarify this for her.
Taxpayers give MPS money for the MPS school system!
MPS and the MPS school board are responsible for directing funds to educate the students.
MPS hires teachers , and pays bills to educate MPS students.
MPS has to follow federal and or state laws enacted so MPS can get extra funding to educate MPS students.
If MPS cannot follow the rules than they should not get the funding they are responsible for.
Jennifer, what do you not understand?
It makes taxpayers ask some real questions.
Why do people elect such idiots on their local school boards?
When will people wake up and stop electing those that are incompetent?
How long will taxes keep going up?
When will people wake up and say enough is enough, we're not taking this anymore?
I am not happy with our school district, but that is something this area's taxpayers need to address.

GET DOWN AND DIRTY
PACK TAKES CHEAP SHOTS AT GIANT
TACTICS
By PAUL SCHWARTZ
January 18, 2008 -- There was apparent danger for anyone approaching the
vicinity of Shaun O'Hara's locker, as the normally agreeable Giants center
issued a warning that didn't sound particularly threatening. "You might want to
watch out," O'Hara said yesterday afternoon.
I'm supposed to be a dirty player." With that, the first salvo of what had
been a quiet week hit the Giants like a snowball upside the helmet. After the
storm of hype leading up to the divisional playoff tussle with the hated
Cowboys, this was supposed to be the calm prior to Sunday's NFC Championship
game against the Packers. [ Oh, I must of
triped]
The quiet was interrupted by stinging accusations by the Packers that the
Giants - their offensive line in general and O'Hara in particular - as well as
Plaxico Burress are cheapshot artists who disregard the rules of the game and
try to inflict bodily harm. "I try to shower regularly. I use deodorant," O'Hara
cracked when asked about being characterized as a dirty player. [Booo Hooo, I'm not a durty payer]

January 18, 2008 -- I LEFT, PLAY PASS 46, X POST, Z DEEP CROSS
Here
they are, New York. Three key plays, diagrammed and detailed for The Post by
ESPN analyst and ex-Steeler fullback Merril Hoge, that can propel the
GiantsNew York Giants past the Packers Sunday night and send Big Blue back
to the Super Bowl Feb. 3 in Glendale, Ariz. Check out Hoge's expertise on ESPN's
compelling “State Farm NFL Matchup" with Ron Jaworski and Sal Paolantonio,
produced by Greg Cosell, 8:30 Sunday morning.
Now here's a true gamebreaker!
QB Eli
ManningEli Manning (10) uses play-action to bait the linebackers and the
Pack's aggressive safeties out of position. With time afforded by a seven-man
blocking scheme, Manning will look for the home run to Burress or lead Toomer
deep across the field. Either way, this could develop into an explosive
downfield play.
SLOT RIGHT, 27 CORNER
The Giants ran this counter play
with great success against Green Bay in the first meeting. It's a good call
against the Packers because they play so much man coverage, so the Giants can
get easy blocks, and it looks like a passing formation. RB Ahmad
BradshawAhmad Bradshaw (44), who didn't have any carries on Sept. 16, has
the speed to break this one big.
I LEFT, 444 FLAT WIDE
Here, WRs Amani Toomer (81) and Plaxico Burress (17) run 12-yard curls on
opposite sides. TE Kevin Boss curls into the middle, occupying a linebacker or
safety, and FB Madison Hedgecock (39) and RB Brandon Jacobs (27) run wide routes
on either side. The connection, most likely to Toomer, is a zone-buster, but the
Giants also use it vs. man coverage.
I don't think these plays will work!

All Bets Are On

All bets are on for championship game
Press-Gazette
The betting is under way in preparation for Sunday's game against the New
York Giants
[ Wow, we got] Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt is betting with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.[ And we even have] Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., betting Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Milwaukee.
Where's Russ Feingold on this?
The stakes for Sunday's Packers-Giants game are high in fat and rich in
lycopene: [Where's the food police?]Governors of Wisconsin, New York and New Jersey [ Holy cow, we got three of the biggest liberal governors in the country here.] are wagering bratwurst, pastrami and tomatoes.
Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle announced Thursday morning that New York Gov.
Eliot Spitzer accepted Doyle's friendly bet and put up a shipment of New York
pastrami if the Giants lose Sunday.
Doyle reports that New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine is offering a case of
"Jersey Fresh" tomatoes. [Come on John, tomatoes? what a cheep skate. Jim, are these tomatoes that you can throw at the Wisconsin assembly?]
The New York Giants play their games at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford,
N.J.If the Packers lose, Doyle owes both governors a shipment of bratwurst.
