From the Green Bay Press. This put me over the top.

How does paying my property taxes monthly save me money?
If I owe $1200 on my property taxes, how does sending in $100 to the
state on a monthly basis benefit me? Where does he come up with a $4500
savings? The reality, it's a good sound bite for T V and radio but just can't work. Think of all the unknowns. Bank charges, loss of tax write offs, where will the state find money for the one year no taxes will be collected? This sounds like the stimulus bill was supposed to create jobs. Funny looks like jobless claims up again today.
2) Mark Neumann never said he is against ethanol mandates.
3) If elected Neumann will force green technology to benefit his green construction business. If green technology is so great, let it sell itself, we do not need guv propping it up.
4) If Scott Walker runs a Milwaukee County budget surplus, how can Neumann say he runs more deficits then Jim Doyle and the State of Wisconsin?
I do not do endorsements but I will tell you my vote is for Scott Walker for Wisconsin Governor in November.

MADISON — Republican gubernatorial hopeful Mark Neumann has proposed a plan that would allow property owners to pay their taxes monthly in 2012.
Neumann was in Allouez on Wednesday afternoon to promote the plan as a way for taxpayers to save money and boost the economy. If every resident opts into the plan, it could save taxpayers $11 billion or $4,500 for the average homeowner, according to the campaign's calculations.
Right now, property taxes generally are due in a lump sum at the beginning of each year. Many lenders require homeowners to pay an amount on top of their mortgage each month to cover their taxes.
Neumann's plan would suspend property tax payments in 2011 for those who agree to send their property tax payment each month starting in 2012."

It's just "doubling up" your proptax payments.
In effect, you pay the proptax twice in ONE year--both the 'monthly' payment AND the escrow payment.
Then, next year, there's no proptax due.
There will be a tax savings, as the proptax is deductible from Fed taxes.
BUT----------WARNING---------BUT:
That deduction is in serious trouble unless the Alternative Minimum Tax "fix" gets renewed.
IOW, it's a fool's game and MarkyMark thinks you're a fool.
