A Campaign Ad About Jobs, Unheard Of

Seems like Sean Duffy can talk about stimulus and jobs in Dave Obeys district.

From Lakeshore Laments
"Great web attack ad by the Sean Duffy campaign regarding Dave Obey's initial reactions to critics of the stimulus, its oversight, and what its [not] been accomplishing since then."

To bad this can't be done a little different against Kagen in the 8th. Maybe Kagen boasting of jobs that were never there could be said in the republican group of candidates. Oh that's right, in the 8th it's not about JOBS, JOBS, JOBS.

I wouldn't say it's not about jobs in the 8th. Duffy can go on the attack already because he's the only challenger in that race - which likely won't change.

With soon-to-be 8 challengers to Kagen (7 in a primary)it's a totally different playing field.

Brad, I will give you that.

Duffy brought up a specific attack. You mean there is nothing on Kagen? What is he a saint or something. There's no baggage on Steve Kagen? That's why I have a ax to grind on the forum in Appleton. I heard no barrage against Kagen.

I am just disappointed in not hearing the ..............., won't go there.

Sorry, I appreciate your opinion and don't want to dump on you.I need to buy you a soda some day.

Have a GREAT week

There's definitely baggage on Kagen - whoever wins the primary needs go no farther than here for the laundry list.

IMHO I think what's happening here is that the candidates (due to the crowded field) are working to establish who they are before launching attacks on Dr. Steve. Something Duffy's been able to do over in the 7th already.

Good point but,

Isn't "going after Kagen", the the reason they are running?

They want to establish who they are by tearing down from with in? If their focus is the others in the republican party, they are no better then the democrats.

We will have seven or eight factions split all over the district and we all will lose. We're better then the liberals and Steve Kagen.

I can see four groups already split.

I'm rambling, maybe I need to expand on that.

Thanks for the comment

Excellent points.

At the same time because of the primary these candidates need to convince voters why they are the best choice. That means doing more than just "going after Kagen". And it definitely has to be done in a way that isn't perceived as negative which will just turn off voters.

Time will tell who figures out best how to do both at the same time.
