OSHKOSH — It wasn't tea that fired up the crowd at the first Oshkosh TEA Party — it was a big cup of Joe.

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, better known as the Joe the Plumber who gained fame during the 2008 presidential campaign, spoke to the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party crowd of hundreds Saturday at the Winnebago County Courthouse about making a difference in government.

"Just going home, feeling good about yourself and not doing anything ain't gonna get nothin' done," Wurzelbacher said. "It's your individual responsibly to be involved in your government."" Crowd fired up at Oshkosh TEA Party | greenbaypressgazette.com | Green Bay Press-Gazette

And now some comments from the left.
Jeff Hall, the chairman of the Winnebago County Democrat Party, wasn't at Saturday's event, but has attended previous ones and holds a different perspective on them.

"I went to the one they had in Fond du Lac on April 15," Hall said. "I thought it was ironic that there were all these anti-Democratic and anti-Obama signs, because at that point we had not passed any tax laws, so they were actually protesting George Bush's policies."

Hey Jerry, maybe they don't like your party holding us hostage? For not protesting Bush, why didn't democrats hold the line on spending like they said they would do?
Hall sees the TEA Parties as a minority group unhappy with losing majority control of the government to the Democrats in the 2008 elections.

Minority group? Is he kidding? Socialized medicine, cap and trade, Madison raising every tax (sorry fee)they can get their hands on. Losing majority? We don't want RINO's either.
"Where was the protest when Bush was spending?" Hall said. "Really, all they are is partisan. What you see is a minority — you can tell by the ballot box they're a minority — it's a partisan rally for them. I don't see how it gets us anywhere."

Jerry is talking from the dem playbook. He and his pals are getting a little worried about 2010.
