Oct. 9, 2009 | Green Bay — A Brown County Jail inmate is accused of supplying the crack cocaine that led to the death of a fellow inmate.

Dominic Sangraw, 19, of Green Bay, was charged Friday with reckless homicide. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison.

Sangraw was jailed Sept. 18 for outstanding warrants. Prosecutors said he gave 21-year-old James L. Brown an eighth of an ounce of crack cocaine a few days later.

The criminal complaint states that Brown swallowed the drug as correctional officers searched his cell. He had a seizure and was taken to a hospital, where he went into cardiac arrest and died.
