A federal crop report issued Friday forecasts corn production in the United States at 13 billion bushels, up 8 percent from 2008.

The National Agricultural Statistics Service says Wisconsin's corn crop is expected to yield nearly 6 percent more than a year ago even though 20,000 fewer acres were planted.

The most recent state report lists only 11 percent of the corn crop in poor or very poor condition." Record corn crop expected in state | greenbaypressgazette.com | Green Bay Press-Gazette
