Dave Hansen Three's A Charm

Three stories the charm on Dave Hansen. We'll throw Baby Face Nelson in this too!

From the Oshkosh Northwestern.

"Editorial: Spin cycle doesn't clean tax hike deceit
October 7, 2009

You have to hand it to Sen. Dave Hansen, D-Green Bay and Assembly Majority Leader Tom Nelson, D-Kaukauna. They've got their story and they are sticking to it. Damn the logic. Damn the facts. They did not raise your taxes. Except for that sneaky little fee that they hoped no one would notice on their electric bills until WBAY TV reported on the scheme." Editorial: Spin cycle doesn't clean tax hike deceit | thenorthwestern.com | Oshkosh Northwestern
Why does it take an Oshkosh paper to write about the dishonesty of Hansen and Nelson?
Yet logic and candor seldom apply to the hyper-partisan world of Madison politics where public policy is crafted and votes taken not for the interests of the greatest public good, but how to duck an attack ad in the next election cycle. Remember, above all, Hansen and Nelson did not raise your sales or income taxes. Well, mind
you, income taxes were jacked only for the "higher income."

Will they duck the next election?

Hansen and Nelson did their best imitations of earnest public figures in their interviews with WBAY, lamenting the potential loss of District Attorneys and how it would have devastated public safety. So devastating that in a biennium budget of billions, they simple could not squeeze a paltry $18.2 million to responsibly cover salaries and benefits for the offices.
Their best imitation, they need to work at the Skyline Comedy Cafe.
The good people of Wisconsin would have no reason to doubt the integrity of lawmakers who sneak a tax increase on electric bills and insist with a straight face they did not raise taxes. With integrity like that, we've got nothing to worry about.

Bully! I ask again, where are Hansen's and Nelson's home town newspapers on this slander on the Wisconsin tax payers? In case you want to talk to your rep.
