Earmarks and Votes

Discussion and comments on all the talk of earmarks, high taxes and what do earmarks mean to candidates running for office.

Here are two comparisons to the 2nd and 5th Wisconsin Congressional district earmark spending to voter results from Tuesdays election. I used information provided by JSOnline. The vote totals were taken from the Butler / Gableman race.

JSOnline results vote totals

Tammy Baldwin (D-Madison) 2nd Congressional district.
Columbia,Green and Dane counties.
$16,443,500 in earmark spending.
Butler votes - 58,156 70%
Gableman votes - 25,649 30 %

Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Menomonee Falls)
5th Congressional district.
Jefferson, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha Counties.
$932,000 in earmark spending,
Butler votes - 36,036 43 %
Gableman votes 70,719 57 %

If we relate earmarks to congress bringing home the pork like Tammy Baldwin, why is Jim Sensenbrenner still in office?

Are the voters in Dane County smart for voting liberal? Do they have their hands out? Gimmie, gimmie gimmie!

Are people in Washington and Waukesha counties ignorant for keeping Sensenbrenner in office?

Are the people of Washington and Waukesha counties living without or maybe taking care of themselves without government handouts? People have to be proud to live in the 5th!

It has to stop, we need to follow the example of the 5th district.

Here in the 8th we have Mr. Kagen shouting about every pork dollar he can throw at the people of the 8th district.

Enough is enough, Thank the people of the fifth.

Oh by the way, didn't some conservitive win the Milwaukee County Executive spot. Hey you lefties, some guy, wasn't his first name Scott somebody? When is Diamond Jim Doyle running again?
