Daily Press, Escanaba 11-SEP-2008 (Dionna Harris)
[Excerpt:] - ESCANABA, Mich. - While most people don't even want to begin thinking about it, weather forecasters are looking ahead to the winter months. According to the long-range forecast, temperatures could be above normal this winter. Steven Fleegel, of the National Weather Service in Marquette, said that climatologists (scientists who study climate) are predicting a 50 percent chance of temperatures being above normal for the upcoming 2008-09 winter over the Great Lakes." Warmer this winter,
colder this winter,
the squirrels are fat this fall,
a lot of snow this winter,
water levels on Berry Lake is down 12 to 15 inches this fall,

Does any of it really matter anyway?

Take it the way it goes,
I'll shovel when it snows,
I'll swim when it's warm.

Hey it's Wisconsin and Michigan.
