KAGEN DELIVERS FOR NORTHEAST WISCONSIN
DELIVERS PORK!
DECEMBER 19, 2007
Washington, DC -- The House of Representatives completed action on the omnibus spending bill that provides funding for the federal government operations and projects for the rest of Fiscal Year 2008.
O K, it is still the Christmas time of year and I am trying to be nice but I can't believe what this guy supposedly got passed.
The measure includes a number of projects in Northeast Wisconsin critical to the health, safety and economic well-being of the people of Wisconsin. What economic well-being?
Before completing action, the House approved the amendment that provides $70 billion dollars in funding for continued military operations in Iraq. The amendment was opposed by Congressman Steve Kagen. “I’m working hard to bring our tax dollars back to Wisconsin where they belong – to Green Bay, to Marinette, to Peshtigo, to Clintonville, to Sturgeon Bay and to Appleton to name a few – but not to Baghdad. What planet is he from? Can we say national security? Where was this guy on September 11, was he pulling teeth at the time? I have always supported our brave troops serving in harms way. No, you are not if you voted "NO" on troop funding!! President Bush has enough money to protect our troops and move them away from Iraq and back after our real enemies, Osama bin Laden and his followers.”Is this guy assuming room temperature? Has there not been Al Qaeda in Iraq? Congressman Kagen looks forward to opportunities in January to meet with local officials, community leaders and residents who will benefit from the federal assistance Congressman Kagen helped secure. Oh, are these people on the dole supposed to kiss his ring? Will he ask for campaign contributions? “Congressman Steve Kagen has been very aggressive in trying to promote the needs of his district and the results show,” said House Appropriations Committee Chairman Dave Obey (WI-07). Look who's talking, Dave Ope? I'm not going there, we have enough trouble with Dr, K.!
CONGRESSIONALLY DIRECTED FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008 IN WISCONSIN’S 8TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT (Note: These projects are contained in the Omnibus Spending measure.) Yea, it sure is OMNIBUS!!!!!!!
