"Brown County Health Director Judy Friederichs said the county has funding from two federal grants to help communities develop biking and walking areas in an effort to encourage people to exercise.

"There are a limited number of safe biking areas in some communities," Friederichs said."

One- aren't grants tax payers money? With lost jobs and the bad economy,
don't people throw the word "G R A N T " around a little bit too loosely?

Two- what's wrong with the roads and streets we already have?

Three- "you can take a horse to water but that does not mean it will drink! Judy, you can build all the paths you want (with tax payer money) but if people don't use them, our hard earned money is pee'd away!

I can see something like the Mountain Bay Trail, something that can be used year round by everyone but COME ON, What are we into, private clubs?

Are all health directors related to construction companies? We need more walking paths, more bike paths! Build it and let the tax payers pay for it.

Penelope told me that you can be skinny and still be obese. What is she talking about? By golly she right!
Here's some info Ms. Friederichs. What do you say to this? What are you going to build for these people?

Sports makes fat people healthier

If you think skinny means healthy, you're wrong.

Many experts now believe that the internal fat around vital organs like the heart, liver or pancreas, which cannot be seen, is more dangerous than the obvious external fat that stores underneath the skin.

"Being thin doesn't automatically mean you're not fat," said Dr. Jimmy Bell, a professor of molecular imaging at Imperial College, London.

A team has scanned since 1994 about 800 people with MRI machines to build "fat maps" revealing where people deposit the fat."
