"Two teachers receive Kohl Foundation awards for excellence

Two area residents have been honored as a 2009 Herb Kohl Foundation Fellowship award recipient.
Vicki Buettner, a Shawano resident, is in her eighth year as a high school social studies teacher at Suring High School, and said it’s a great honor to receive the award.
“With teaching, it’s something different every day,” she said.
The $1,000 awards are being made to 100 teachers and their schools. Also receiving a Fellowship Award is Gillett resident Vicki Santacroce. Nearly 200 graduating high school students across the state also received foundation honors." Shawano Leader
