Michigan Deer Hunt Local Tie

From the Escanaba Daily Press.

12 year old from Oconto Falls bags good size buck.

"Not all successful hunters are necessarily seasoned hunters. Brooks Polczinski, 12, proved that when he showed up at the gathering with an 8-point. Many were impressed by the youngster, who said it was his first time hunting.

Polczinski, of Oconto Falls, Wis., said he shot the buck on opening day, while hunting in Nadeau Township with his uncle.

"I shot it from 45 yards away while it was at the bait pile," he said.

Polczinski said the buck weighed 207 pounds and had a 19 inch spread." Bucking tradition - News, Sports, Jobs, Escanaba Information | The Daily Press
