From JSOnline. Where do you see the word Niagara in this article?
Steve Kagen knows he can get more votes from the fox valley then northern Wisconsin.
Steve Kagen shook the dust off his feet and left you high and dry.
New Page workers in Niagara, and you still want to vote for Kagen!
Update 6:00 p m.
Niagara Mill Workers, do you do everything your union tells you or can you think on your own. Can't you see you are getting the shaft and your still taking it. Workers of New Page Niagara, I give you more credit than that for believing everything Kagen has told you.
Look where it got you. No where. Lost your jobs.
It's time for a change in congress. What do you have to loose. Things may change for the better with Gard. Again, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Several members of Wisconsin's congressional delegation plan to meet next Wednesday on Capitol Hill with NewPage Corp. CEO Mark Suwyn. The Miamisburg, Ohio-based company shut down its Kimberly mill earlier this month, ending 600 jobs.
The lawmakers requested the meeting to discuss future plans for the Kimberly mill and the possibility that another company could purchase the 119-year-old mill, which has served as a major employer in the small Wisconsin town. Reps. Tom Petri (R-Fond du Lac) and Steve Kagen (D-Appleton) as well as Sens. Herb Kohl and Russ Feingold, both Democrats, plan to attend the meeting.
"From everything I've heard, the Kimberly mill has every prospect of being successful if a company can be found that wants to run it," Petri said in a statement. "NewPage should be open to selling the mill and letting everybody get back to work."
In a statement, Kohl said members of the delegation want to pursue "every option for getting the Kimberly mill workforce employed again."Lawmakers also want to figure out how to keep jobs at NewPage’s other Wisconsin facilities and how lawmakers can help improve market conditions for domestic paper companies, he said.
"Working together, I hope we can make some progress," Kohl said.
The company shut down its Kimberly mill, saying there was too little demand for its products and they couldn't compete with lower-priced paper from China." Wisconsin lawmakers to meet with NewPage CEO - All Politics

Without knowing the exact numbers offhand, NewPage accommodated 30 or 40 Niagara workers at its Escanaba location. "Supposedly" two companies have expressed an interest in buying the Niagara Mill but the names of the parties are being withheld - supposedly due to on-going negations and haggling over the price. NewPage has stipulated that whoever buys it cannot manufacture coated paper (which is what NewPage produces).
Steve, thank you for the comment.
From the article I posted I want to tell everyone I also care for the people of Niagara. I just hope when politicians like Kohl, Kagen, Feingold and Petri are talking to New Page did they forget about Niagara? Should someone not be asking those questions. It seems that Bart S from Michigan does more for Niagara then the people from Wisconsin. The politicians and union bosses can tell the rank and file anything they want but what is true , what is false? Are they doing lip service to save their hides, votes, dues or are they sincere about what they are trying to do.
I am just sticking up for the people of Northern Wisconsin and Michigan. If someone doesn't ask the questions in the end , they will get screwed and forgotten.
If their is something in the works for Niagara, something should of been mentioned.
Thank again.
