SEATTLE (AP) -- Starbucks Corp. has announced it's closing 600 underperforming stores in the United States.

The Seattle-based premium coffee company also announced Tuesday it expects to open fewer than 200 new company-operated stores in the United States in fiscal 2009.

My God, this could be worse then Orson Welles "War of the World" in 1938.

Some fled their homes; others merely were terrified. What will the left do without some Star Bucks stores?

Stand away from your latte machine, sit down and call your local Dunkin' Donut. Proceed to ride your bicycle or take nearest city transportation vehicle ( it's called a bus) to purchase a cheaper but excellent cup of real coffee.
