Are Bloggers Journalist's ?

I need some help from those out in the blog world. Ask your blog friends this question and please tell them to give me their opinion.

Could a blogger be considered a journalist?

Could a blogger turn into a journalist?

You can e mail me on my e mail link or post a comment.

No, I don't consider myself a journalist. I'm just a regular guy commenting on the world. Take it for what it's worth.

They absolutely are. During the founding fathers' day a journalist was anyone who could get access to a printing press. The definition of a journalist is someone who assembles news stories and then informs the public. To be more accurate I would say we are opinion journalists? But, unlike the mainstream media we in the new media announce our bias up front and openly.

The only question that remains to be resolved is legal protections. It has not been established in case law yet if we share the same protections as the mainstream media. However, some states have stepped forward and granted bloggers the same libel protections as the mainstream media. I believe within a couple of years bloggers will be granted all the rights of the mainstream media.

An apostrophe indicates a possessive, not a plural. Journalist's -- belonging or related to a journalist.

JUst add 's' -- journalists -- to form plural.

BLoggers may or may not be journalists. BUt their skill and cleverness with the language will help determine their credibility.
