A Cross Post From Kagen Watch. Tea Together, Lied Again

Kagen, Tea Together, Lied Again

On public radio Steve Kagen talked about a tea party between his wife and Laura Bush..

Sorry, no it wasn't a tea party about taxation without representation like in 1773. Let us start at the beginning.

Back in Dec of 2006 Congressman-elect Steve Kagen told a story of his first visit to the White House.

During his stay while in line to see the President and his wife Laura he comments,
He said Bush gave one of his smiles and said, ‘I’ve lost a lot of money in my life, too.’ Then I go to his wife, ‘Hi Barbara, how are ya?’ I did that because I learned on the campaign that the meanest thing you can say to another gentlemen is, ‘he’s a fine fellow,’ and you then refer to his spouse by a different name.”

Listen to the following, it is a link to Steve Kagen on public radio.

This from Badger Blogger

"In the audio, a caller queries Kagen as to why he would have “embarrassed” the residents of his district by intentionally calling Laura Bush “Barbara”, which Kagen boasted about shortly after his Congressional freshman orientation in a chest-pumping attempt to impress a room full of peace activists."

Yet Kagen told the caller to the Green Bay radio program (presumably, one of his constituents) that she essentially had her facts wrong, claiming that “confusing Laura and Barbara Bush is a mistake that happens all the time.”

Even the Journal/Sentinel, in a recent feature on Kagen, acknowledged Kagen’s gaffe, and his subsequent admission that the story was nothing but a fabrication.

Thus, Congressman Kagen’s answer to the call-in questioner was at best a lie, and, at worst, delusional. Which is nothing new for Kagen. Badger Blogger

So now Steve Kagen lied on public radio to a caller, maybe a constituent that people like him sometimes get confused and call someone's spouse a wrong first name! Confused that he told a left wing group it was a big joke in 2006! Confused his wife now has tea parties all the time with Laura Bush.!

Two years ago Steve Kagen made up stories at the white house, said it didn't happen, said the press misunderstood, said he was joking and then tries to tell a caller, claiming that “confusing Laura and Barbara Bush is a mistake that happens all the time.”

Sorry caller, now he made up two stories about Laura Bush.

How can we believe Steve Kagen when he says he cares for the people of the 8th district?

How can you believe Steve Kagen when he says he's cutting spending?

How can you believe Steve Kagen when in 2007 he says he wants to stop earmarks and then adds earmarks to bills in congress after that?

Steve Kagen cannot be believed! He is deceiving the people of the 8th district
just to get re elected.

We need to send Steve Kagen back to private practice!

This link is even better from a pod cast from Charlie Sykes at 620 WTMJ
For a laugh, listen to Charlie and "Yeah, That's The Ticket!"
