Back In The Day, Oshkosh

Group photograph of Chief Art Gabbert of the Oshkosh Police Department (left) and Mayor Taylor Brown (right) posed by two vehicles: a squad car and a vehicle riddled with bullet holes. Taken at the State Street entrance to the Police Department in the lower level of City Hall. A note on the back reads, "Police Chief Arthur H. Gabbert bought a junked car and machine gunned it full of holes and parked it in front of Oshkosh City Hall in 1931 as a deterrent to would-be bank robbers.
