Thanksgiving On Berry Lake

Thanksgiving at Berry Laker's House on Berry Lake Wisconsin.

Pilgrims - the pilgrims learned a commune wouldn't work and tried Reaganomics and turns out it worked.

Native Americans - We live a half mile from the Menominee County. Menominee is a sovereign nation. I may not agree with how most of the county votes but I have learned to admire and respect the Native Americans of the Menominee Nation. I also like to donate at the casino in Keshena. They are truly blessed with a beautiful part of Wisconsin. As they say, they are a proud people. The many people we know we are truly grateful and thank God for their friendship.

Family - We have only one family left, It so happens to be mine. With most being on the left side of politics I have learned to accept their stupid idiotic beliefs and just relate some in my family as "flakes". We don't see other family that live in Colorado. Our wish is to visit them next year. There is my daughter (learning to be a conservative) , my favorite son in law (I only have one) and our grandson (what a boy). Then there is Son # 1 going to UW Milw, dam proud of him. Son # 2 who is a senior at Gillett High. Son # 2 has a great girlfriend Penelope. They make a nice couple. The Mrs. is making her old fashion turkey recipe. Now a big T V star (judge on Food Network), how could I make it through this world without the love of my life. To all my family good or bad, left or right I truly thank God for the great gifts of my great family.

Friends - we have had, may I say an adventurous year. We have so many good friends and neighbors. How can we thank you for your friendship. God Bless you and yours.

It's after 8:00 and Mrs Berry Laker is listening to "Alice's Restaurant", it's her thanksgiving yearly treat. She has to listen to Alice's Restaurant. Thank You Lord.

Thanksgiving Parades - I remember when I was young, I couldn't wait for the Macy's parade. Oh boy, the old guy just can't get into it any more. No on watching the parades. God bless all who enjoy the parades.

Bloggers - I do want to mention even though I may not talk directly to or see them directly, I need to thank the blogging family for all they do. The good , the bad, the funny, Thank God for all your work.

Black Friday - at 51, this may be my first black Friday shopping experience. God bless all those looking for deals and remember it's not the size , the cost , the model. "It's in giving that you receive." We pray to God for all who brave tomorrow. May you protect us and watch over all shoppers on Friday.

To everyone in this world, dear God, we thank you for the goodness you have given us. Thank you Lord for our family our friends and this day you have given us. We thank you God for the food you have provided. Bless this house and bless this family.

Amen.
