Farm bill passes. From the Green Bay Press Gazette.
Just like a youngster at a candy store! They can almost pee their pants in front of all that candy (money)!
House revives farm bill — maybe
Wisconsin Reps. Tammy Baldwin, Steve Kagen and Dave Obey voted with the majority in the 316-108 vote to override the veto.
Reps. Gwen Moore, Ron Kind, Tom Petri, Paul Ryan and James Sensenbrenner voted to uphold the veto.
Some of these people vote for lawsuits for OPEC. and then vote against farmers. What gives?
Kind and Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., launched an unsuccessful effort to persuade lawmakers to let the farm bill veto stand. For more than a year, Kind, D-La Crosse, has pushed for tougher income limits for eligibility for subsidies and more money for conservation and other farm bill programs.
“Someone needs to stand here and speak for the taxpayer,” Kind said.
Is Ron Kind a RINO? Wow, didn't think so but sure sounds conservitive. What is Ron Kind a blue dog?
Then there is Steve Kagen .
Kagen, D-Appleton, a House Agriculture member, said he was proud of the legislation.
“I am proud to have had the opportunity to work with Republicans and Democrats in this effort, and proud of what it will mean for our farm families — and proud that we were able to pass the farm bill despite the president’s efforts to lead us in the wrong direction,” Kagen said shortly after the vote.
Oh boy, still clueless! Doesn't it seems Kagen has a ear jack in his ear at all times. Nancy P directs his every move, his every word, oh boy!
