How Bad It Is

I first have to apologize for making such a statement!
How bad is state govornment if I would even think of
this question!

Is there payola going on with this interchange?

One of the key changes from past meetings was
the proposal of an interchange at Leopolis Road.
That interchange would provide better access to
the Stockbridge-Munsee community and
NorthStar Casino

Do I assume with the corruption in Madison that Diamond
Jim is paying the tribe back from their campaign donations
with a better interchange to the casino?

This is probably an honest up front deal which will help the casino
( which I'm all for), but again no one would even think of such a
question if we had honest state government.

An interchange at Leopolis Road might become a reality, based
on the latest proposal from the Highway 29 cooridor presevation
study.
Potential locations for future interchanges and overpasses along
Highway 29 were presented in a meeting Monday in Shawano
before about 40 town and county officials.
One of the key changes from past meetings was the proposal
of an interchange at Leopolis Road.
That interchange would provide better access to the
Stockbridge-Munsee community and NorthStar Casino,
said Chris Devery, senior transportation engineer for
HNTB, Milwaukee and planning coordinator for the state
Department of Transportation in this area.
