American Dream Vs State Capitalism

From Richard Moore. A good read of what the President is really doing and what it is really called, "state capitalism."

Here are a couple quotes.

To believe in the American Dream is to believe in better, more abundant, fuller lives for all of us, and that our nation and our culture affords each of us the opportunities to pursue and achieve such a life.

To believe in the American Dream is to believe in ourselves.

That’s why politicians and parties who want to fundamentally transform who we are as a nation and how we live as a people run into trouble on Election Day. They are telling us they don’t believe in us, and in turn we tell them we don’t trust their transformational schemes.

Mr. Blackwell and Mr. Klukowski are right as far as they go, but they do not take their analysis far enough. In fact, it’s not just an imperial presidency or a collectivist society Mr. Obama is trying to build in the name of liberalism; it’s the transformation of capitalism itself the president seeks.

To socialism? Nope. It might be socialistic – revisit health care and energy here – but it probably is more accurate to call it state capitalism.
